best way to take down a car target?

hi all.

new to gta and was wondering if

there is a better way of taking out

dude if they are in a car?

shooting them just brings out the law

so i normally to try and ram their car

first but this messes up my motor.

 

ideas?

If you're talking about pedestrian drivers then simply aim your gun at them and they'll run out.

Shoot the car's rear.

Gas tank is there, which means after a short while it will begin to burn and then explode.

 

Or shoot the car's tires, at some point he will lose control.

 

Or just ram him and make him crash

Or shoot through the glass right where the drivers head is, which will kill them almost instantly.

Or I would recommend that, If you have the opportunity, destroy the cars wheels before they take it.

Hint: On some missions you can get the targets before they take off, if ure quick enough....

 

Other times the most effective way is to drive past the car you are targeting and throw a grenade out your car window just as you pass it. This method requires some practice tho, as you have to pull the pin and hold the grenade until it almost blows, but for supprice attacks its the best and quickest way to do it.

right stick to focus. but its pretty hard

Make sure your smg has plenty of ammo. Keep shooting any part of the car as long as you're hitting it. And if it's still not blowing then just keep up with them. They eventally slow down or bail-- all chase missions do that.

As long as you shoot somewhere around the front(engine) and somewhere around the rear(gas tank) the car takes damage. Anything in between excluding tires is a waste of time and ammo. Unless you shoot his suspension

My tip for that mission:

When you exit, they'll start to drive off, you just bring out your M4/47 and blast them through the window.

Also, Keep on shooting the driver, the police cars won't keep up with you, because it's a low star wanted level, and you'll eventually kill your target/make his car explode.

Yep.

 

For this mission:

 

First kill the guard outside silently either by beating him to death or by driving into him. Park your car right outside.

 

Second: pull out a sawed off shotgun and move into the hallway. Take out the security guard thats standing there, wait for the second guard to come running and take him out quickly.

 

third: turn around and run out the way you came in, jump in your car and drive around to the back of the strip club where the targets should just be getting into their car. Take out the driver quickly before they drive off.

on just got too many 5-0 involved.

Actually there is a much easier way to do that mission. Grab a SUV from the parking lot and park it in front of the back door where those guys run out.The won't be able to use that door then.

Then go into the office and shoot that first guy. Run back out side and wait in front of the door. The other 2 guys will run out that door to escape. No need to chase down any cars. You will have to kill 1 or 2 bouncers but they are pretty easy.

I like to use a mix of ramming and shooting. If collateral damage is no concern, then I'll go nuts and unload a mini on 'em. But if I don't want to attract too much attention, I'll only shoot when I get close at the driver or tires. If my targets are on foot I'll just run them down as hard as I can. When I'm being chased though, I prefer to use grenades.

But if I'm being chased by police and I'm trying to lose them, I just drive as fast as I can and keep an eye on my map to see where the heat is coming from. I learned after being set up by Dimitri that if you need to lose the heat, you do as little damage as possible, and drive as fast as you can.

You can shoot the suspension? What would that do anyway? Sometimes when I drive a car with a blown tire I can handle it pretty well, other times it slides like the rear wheels are covered in oil... Are those times when the suspension was shot..?

I tried to play it smart, walked in with no trouble, scoped out the place and found where the bouncers were. Went to the back and saw the manager going for a 'test drive'. I continue my survellience, decide it's all good, pop out the 12-gauge and blow everyone to hell.

 

Well, that was the plan anyway...

 

After I killed the guy(s) in the back, I made my way to the front door but it just so HAPPENED that everyone had a gun! I had some trouble getting to cover, taken by surprise a few times getting shot from the side... And then I went to the front office but he wasn't there... I ran out and and that was when he almost fish-tailed right into me.

 

You can imagine all the following details.

I just keep shooting nonstop and try to force the target into the wall.

 

It's a little difficult at first, but after a while it's pretty easy to catch any car.

Here are my ways to take out enemy get-a-way vehicles.

 

1.) Use a Pistol or SMG to shoot at the Driver or to shoot out their back tires. Eventually the tires will break, he/she will lose control, and you can either shoot him/her, or sometimes they can get out and will run, then you can commit vehicular homicide.

 

2.) Preform the P.I.T maneuver. Everyone should know what this is, be it from San Andreas, or police shows such as Hot Pursuit on True TV or Spike TV. A P.I.T maneuver is where you connect the left or right front end of your bumper with their left or right tire or back end of their bumper. When you connect, pull your car to the left or right. This will cause them to lose control, where you can proceed to shoot them, or run them over. I remember I did this to someone on a mission, and they lost control so much, that their car flipped. It was awesome.

 

3.) Now this is a spoiler. After completing the Packie McReary missions, Packie will call and arrange an activity, thus becoming your friend. When you get his like above, I believe it's, 75%, he will give you a call letting you know that he has a man with a line on bombs, car bombs, and anytime you need one, to call him. Thus you can now ask Packie for car bombs, to be used to have fun, or on mission targets. I utilized this ability multiple times, a few example missions are Pest Control and that one Gambetti mission where you kill Kim, the man you helped Derrick bring into the country with the counterfeit money. Before hand on both missions, I asked Packie for a bomb, and placed it on, during Pest Control, Ray's cream colored Oracle. When Ray got in, I called Packie, and he went up in flames, then I finished off his bodyguards.

 

During the Gambetti mission, I went around back to the parking lot, and placed it under Kim's car, your vehicle is the motorbike, and did the same. Very fun way to kill targets.

if thats the strip club mission there is a car right accross the road from the stripclub with noone in it.its sitting next to a tree and i think its a sports car cause the 1 i got was.

there's a much easier way of completing this where there is NO chase, you take almost no damage and usually no police interference: disarm yourself as you enter. After entering the office, take out melee weapon and quickly eliminate the manager in there. disarm yourself again before re-entering the club. locate the other 2 managers, then stand in the doorway so you have line of sight with the floor manager and the private room doorway. take out smg or comparable weapon and headshot the floor manager, quickly turnaround and kill the guard with the "testing" manager, then that last manager too. finally, take cover behind the couch in the private room and quickly dispatch with your favorite weapon any who comes in. mission over and take the call from Dwayne. disarm yourself and you should be able to walk out at your leisure with no interference from anyone.

Shoot the rear tires.. then the car will spin out of control then if you lucky he will be driving into a wall , run up to the window with a shot gun BOOM BOOM.. that's what i did anyway
