The-King
If it's corrupted I'm pretty sure there's no way to fix it, let alone format it and the data is completely lost unless you can somehow acquire some government grade software to rebuild it. How did it get corrupted? Wrong section btw, needs to be moved to Tech & PC. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

ghost of delete key
Assuming it is the memory stick (and not a USB problem), it sounds like the partition table is unreadable, making the drive "invisible". You could try a recovery utility like TestDisk (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk). USB sticks have a tendency to get their partition tables a little scrambled if they're pulled in the middle of a write; a utility like TestDisk can help you sort it out. Note: whenever you unmount a USB flash drive, you should use the "Safely Remove Hardware" utility in Windows to prevent the drive from getting scrambled... don't just yank it out of the socket. BTW, giant text is just as bad as capslock. It won't make people help you any faster. james227uk
Try this: http://en.kioskea.net/download/download-12...age-format-tool I've used it before in a similar problem to you and it fixed it. See if it detects the usb, and if it does and you're willing to sacrifice the data on it, this should fix it
Wolf68k
Is this the only computer that has this problem with that USB stick?
