XTREME0235
Are you ''complete scan''ning them before you exit the main menu? XTREME0235.

LazlowsucksiloveslutS
The files must be either in MP3 or WMA format. 26 tracks ? I had like
mkey82
It may be a file name problem or a format problem. Try encoding some MP3 files with lame cbr 128 to see if you can get them running.
monster875.
they have worked before in the exact same format so that's neither the problem
zeroangel
I am having similar issues. Just reinstalled GTA4 from scratch recently and going to finally buy the Liberty City Stories soon. Won't work with .wma or .mp3 s. WTF??
kudoboi
they have worked before in the exact same format so that's neither the problem make sure they are not vids, they cannot be flash files. also did they show a error or anything when you do a complete scan? also independence fm have ads so you have to wait for awhile before they play your song. Depending on options it either plays ADS, plays songs in order they are in the folder or just randomly plays his songs.
monster875.
like i said before, they worked with the exact same format so how could it be video format's or other who doesn't work when i haven't edited the file format? and when u normally press complete scan can u a number which means how many songs it load and if u've read all the things i've told u guys u'll read that it does it for a split second and nothing happens -.-' it's annoying to tell it twice. the problem first happened when i installed IV and the day after, i uninstalled it because MW2 lagged in MP and now MW2 doesn't lag online but i've lost all my backups and indepencendence fm doesn't work anymore and i think it's because IV deleted some files that EFLC needs to load the songs. inside C:\users\*USERNAME*\appdata\local\rockstar games\gta iv\usermusic\ the following files weights 0 b: ufile, userfile, usertracks and utracks. maybe that could be the problem? kuoboi: as i said before, i pressed complete scan and NOTHING happened, neither an error EDIT: the files r in Wave and that have they always been and they worked in that format Edited August 6, 2010 by monster875. sjaak327
Did you try to delete the whole content of the usertracks folder. Then try a scan again. Should work, I have over 1300 of them, takes a while to scan

mkey82
http://www.4shared.com/file/-O9XyS4a/lame.html Unpack the archive, the contained software is all freeware from the web, I only wrote the script for personal usage, I'm not to be held responsible for anything. Basically, place any mp3, wav, ogg or aac files inside the lame folder, run the lame.cmd script and it will convert all the files to lame mp3, cbr 128kbits, joint stereo. Note: all the original wav files WILL BE DELETED in the process. So you'll want to copy your wav files into this dir, not move them.

mkey82
Are you sure those tracks are in wave audio format? It seems to me lame can't recognize the exact format and hence it can't convert it. http://besweet.notrace.dk/stable.htm Besweet is a bit more complicated then my script, but it can (should) get the job done. Don't forget to get the GUI, download from the first two links on the list.
radioman
This may sound like a dumb question, but Do you have the proper Audio codecs installed-ie. WMP 10, 11, or 12? Also, if using .wav, .aac, etc, do you have I-Tunes 7 or higher installed(plus Quicktime)? Also, use Shortcuts to the songs, NOT the ORIGINAL files. Also, Do you have enough free disk space on your hard drive to store the song files?-If using shortcuts, they WILL NOT take up much disk space, unlike using original files will... The first question if from the GTA Manual that comes with the game, btw.

The first question if from the GTA Manual that comes with the game, btw. i've never had problems with the codec's before because the wav format songs could easily be loaded by both IV and EFLC but it seems like IV have done something sh*t to the files after i've deleted it
monster875.
close this topic figured out what the problem was. after i've uninstalled IV, EFLC can't load other music format's than MP3 so WAV can't be loaded anymore
