why does GTA chinatown wars have the above view graphics like the older gta's when they could of did the better view like its previous games. i can see for DS but theres no excuse for psp when gta vcs has regular view graphics. ]:rampage_ani.gifsuicidal.gif

Because if they switched the graphics then it just wouldn't be Chinatown Wars?

Anyway the Top-down graphics of Chinatown Wars aren't as bad as the ones in GTA1 and GTA2 imo. The Chinatown Wars view is at more of an angle and you can see more detail.

Oh, and Chinatown Wars is set in the GTA IV Era, probably with the same graphics. It might be a bit harder to do more 3D graphics in GTA IV's Quality on the PSP.

Just throwing stuff out there.

Sunrise Driver

Because it would take another 3 years for them to convert the game into 3D.

1-Chinatown wars is a 3D Game, the camera makes it look stupidly 2D but is full 3D, buildings can be cubes with textures but is 3D so Street Mix you are kinda wrong

indeed GTA CTW is a primitive layer of GTA IV Map, alot near every place of IV is there but IV has every detail in 3D, CTW no, it uses primitive shapes i think the most advanced stuff in CTW are the bridges(both) brooklyn and manhattan+Statue of Happyness

If you convert the CTW city to any 3D engine, mostly SA, you would have a nice IV a'like Map smile.gif

but it seems there isnt a way

It is that view because the DS is weak and cannot sustain full player animation for even the few peds on the screen nor can it do "LOD". So it was better to do that view.

I'm sure they won't do that kind of game on any system that can do the required things. It only happened on PSP because it's a port. Looks pretty awesome too, but coulda been a lot better.

I dont think the Nintendo ds has the capability to run a game of such quality as GTA, Simply because of the Hundreds of features such as tattoo,Swimming, Racing,Gun Battles will require the ds to run almost at breakneck pace. And as said by Street Mix the game would be delayed for another 3 years to meet the 3d requirment

I have games like COP the recruit on ds, and this is in 3d. But it really sucks. I think that would be with ctw too, because you just can't make it that good.

CTW's story really wasn't all that great to start with, why would they waste time converting it over? Needless. They always could just sort of port it to PS3 and 360 by just putting the story over GTA IV.

The iPad is the most powerful device CTW has been ported to. XGA resolution, with texture detail comparable to GTA III-era, although the 3D detail is still pretty simple. The iPad could probably handle an open-world game about as detailed as Bully, but CTW for iPad is a $10 port from smaller devices so I don't expect an all-new world.

Watch this video review in HD and you'll see everything.

I pressume it would have something to do with graphics and then amount of time it would take to load if you were moving fast in a vehicle.

In all honesty the ds has a gay engine to play the game but i still love the game with its weak graphics.

The graphics on DS were great.

It was nice and special to play the game from a half 3D/Bird eye perspective.
