Quantummagic
Hey there everybody. Last 5 days I managed to learn how to use mods and install them. I learned which mods are chrashing me and which are good. (Btw compliments for this site,...searching for mods is really easy on this site compared to others) But this problem I couldn't find anything on the forums or google. THE PROBLEM: When I use my Cleo scripts, the game gets slower and slower over time. After 30-45 minutes its like playing in slow-mo. When I save the game, and reload it, its completely normal again.(until the slowing down kicks in again) I guess it has something to do with a faulty memory usage of a script.(But thats just me guessing) So I ask here in the coding section, if you experienced coders know where the Problem could lie. MY Questions: 1.-Can it be thats my some of my scripts are not usable with CLEO4? 2.-Can it be the memory streaming? (should I try Limit adjuster instead of MemoryFix) 3.-Is it just that I am using to many scripts,....and its not one single script, but the mass of it? 4.-Or just a faulty single scripts? I don't know where to start testing, but the problem is, that I have to play quiet long, to see the affecting. So I hope you could help me finding the error. (While I start to narrow down, if its a single script.) Some things to my installation: +Car pack changed all cars in the game. +Used textures of about 50 different mods. +No maps installed. +Using CLEO4 +Using MemoryFix1.0 +I got 20 diff scripts in my CLEO folder. spaceeinstein
If it's a faulty script, remove all the scripts and readd them one by one. Each time you add one, test the game to see if this happens again. If it's a problem with CLEO4, delete CLEO.asi and install CLEO3. These are the simplest ways to see which scripts are faulty. We have no way in knowing which of your scripts are faulty based on the information you give. Maybe direct links to the mods would help but I doubt anyone would use up their time to find which script is faulty. Quantummagic
Hey einstein. Thx for ya help, you were totally right. After hours and hours of testing I found the faulty script. In fact I made a small mistake in the installation.(Readme was a bit confusing) Now everything runs smoothly and stable (Which is astonishing, considering that I changed that much) Now finally I can enjoy my own total conversation without any crashes BTW: +If you use the method: Test half the scripts--then the half of the half...and so on..its much faster then testing one by one. +And compliments for your all-in-one mod, I know know what kind of work that is +But personally I did not used it, because I haven't finished SP yet,...and in case of a crash, its very hard to find the error if you haven't changed everything yourself.
