Lithium
So I just took my car to a buddy to give it an oil change, new spark plugs and tire rotation. I went to Canadian tire and got all the stuff needed for the oil change/spark plug change, and it cost me a pretty penny. I got platinum plugs and it was around $30 for 3 packages of 2 spark plugs, so that wasn't too bad, but the oil.. Ouch!! it cost me $61 dollars for 5 litres of oil. This Castrol Edge stuff is supposed to be pretty wicked and is guaranteed for 24,000 km's or 1 year which ever comes first. Have you guys heard of this yet, or have any feed back? The oil is supposed to give you more horsepower and all that jazz, but who knows. Edited August 4, 2010 by LithiuM_FirestorM
chris
I used to use that in my Golf, quite alot of it actually since the Golf was rather thirsty, good oil.

AZAZEL
It's always nice spoiling your car once in a while. And that oil's not that expensive. We charge our customers around $40 Canadian for one litre of Statoil Lazerway 5W-40 oil. Edited August 4, 2010 by Azazel
chris
It might make a difference on your car, the engine in my Golf had seen better days so theres no wonder it didn't have much of an effect.

Lurch
Pretty sh*tty price really. Should have bought it from a parts store or walmart than from a tire shop. I spent a little over 30 for 6 quarts of castrol gtx high mileage. Oil lasting that long is pretty pointless considering an oil filter's life is only 3-5k miles. Price on plugs sounds about right on if they were Bosch Platinums.

Tyler
The only main difference I notice in car oil for my car is synthetic and non-synthetic. Those are the only factors that really affect most cars.
