What CoD was your favorite

I absolutely loved Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The whole Pripyat thing blew me away and the nuclear explosion scene when you're in the helicopter was just awesome.

 

Probably one of my all-time favourite games.

COD2 was pretty good. The campaign was better than 4 imo, but imo 4 was a better overal game. So, I vote for COD4.

 

MW2 isn't bad, but it's not as good as COD4 unfortunately. Well the gameplay is better, it's a little more balanced, but the multiplayer sucks. Matchmaking sucks, and it's full of cheaters.

True, and I bet anyways the most liked mission in Cod4 would probably be the Sniper mission. Its just so cool and stealthy. I hope they could make Black Ops like that.

I stopped playing Modern Warfare 2 because there was just to many hackers and people abusing the game. I dont dislike the game in anyway, I dislike the players that play the game by abusing it.

I'm split between 3 and WaW. Those were the only CoD games that I really felt immersed in because they both had a distinctive atmosphere compared to IW's bland, boring sh*t.

 

Haven't played the originals yet either, so I really can't make a judgement. Everything I've heard says that CoD1 and United Front were the two best of the series.

 

I also love Finest Hour as it was my introduction to the series. When I first played it, it blew my mind.

Call of Duty 4. It was my first PS3 game back in 2007. I found it so amazing back then, the graphics, the gameplay and the online. It pretty much set the standards for all other next-gen FPS games, in my eyes anyway.

I would also have to say COD 2 for 360. I can't count how many people I took out with the ol' Kar 98K Also, I loved COD 4, since if was the gamers first experience with the new time set in the game. I love the sniper mission where you try and take out Zakhaev with the .50 cal!

Btw, the first CoD game I played was Call of Duty 4 on DS, and that was two years ago. Since then, I have bought most of the COD games. What a great video game franshise!

Only one of my friends had WaW, so in the end CoD 4 was my fav. All my friends played it,and the campaign wasn't bad. MW2 was horrible IMO.

True, its a good video game franchise but its kinda dying after Modern Warfare 2.

Well, I don't think Modern Warfare 2 is horrible. Its has lots of flaws but it doesn't make it a bad game. It's the people that play the game and abuse the flaws which makes it really, really annoying. After April of 2010 I just played in Private matches with my friends. Its way funner to just play with your friends in Private matches and make up really funny rules. My favorite we ever did was playing hide and seek on Derail. Its soooo hard to find people in Derail in normal games and its like hell if you play hide and seek.

CoD2, it's the one I play the most often and I have the most fun on it.

The original Call of Duty and United Offensive. Best characters, best story, best gameplay, best setting, best ammount of weaponry... or wel just overall the best Call of Duty games ever made up to this day. They're quite frankly the ONLY Call of Duty games in my opinion. From Call of Duty 2 onwards the series became mediocre console FPS games. Nothing more, nothing less. World at War has shown some 'brilliance' and 'originality' with Zombies. It was fun, addictive and a fresh breath in the franchise. Thing was that there was no lasting value to it. It became really boring after 20 levels. Just more zombies to slaughter and especially when you had gotten all the perks (and/or upgraded weapons) it was all about fighting the boredom instead of being the better player.

 

I won't deny that Call of Duty 2 and the 'onward' Call of Duty games were fun. I played them alot and were alot of fun. They added new and cool things to the franchise... but removed alot of other things aswell. Same for the Battlefield franchise (BF2 and pre BF2 games compared to BFBC1/2 + 1943). But I guess it's the console movement and mainstream movement at work...

CoD2, CoD4 gets the 2nd place. Third is WaW. The only other one I have is MW2, but it doesn't deserve a fourth place. Not at all.

maybe it's different for me, but the many flaws in that game definitely ruin the experience. and none of my friends played private match until AFTER my disc cracked.
