gta9414
When I was checking out the LCPD's database, I noticed that he had a pretty extensive background for a guy that was never heard of or seen in the game. Here's his profile: SURNAME: Botino FIRST NAME: Sammy AGE: 43 PLACE OF BIRTH: Little Italy, Liberty City AFFLICTIONS: Gambetti Crime Syndicate CRIMINAL RECORD: 1981- Grand Theft Auto 1982- Hijacking 1984- Manslaughter 1993- Racketeering NOTES: -Wanted for murder in Vice City -Believed to be John Gravelli's right hand man and his logical successor as head of the Gambetti Crime Syndicate Thoughts? GTA 1911
Not much on him in Grand Theft Wiki. http://gta.wikia.com/Sammy_Bottino
vinnygorgeous
Most of the mobsters found in the database are not featured or even mentioned within IV, its just an extra layer of detail. There is no significance to the actual play-through, its just for the enjoyment of the users who like to truly immerse themselves within the city. Unfortunately there are only two or three database entries from each crime group. Sammy is the official underboss but the de facto underboss is Roy Zito, it is one of the intriguing questions post storyline IV, who will take over from Gravelli and will there be an internecine conflict between the two camps- if Sammy is able to return to the fold at all that is.
