** Hello! **

I'm just wondering with what do you guys play GTA IV with.

I play with a Game pad.

Its easier and better when driving. Maybe a little bit harder when on a bike (free aim).

And because I can sit on the bed tounge.gif

And you??

360 controller, the way it was meant to be played. Can't play SA without a Dual Analog controller either.

The game was designed with the 360 controller in mind. The PS3 controller maps the same way. It was never made with PC in mind at all. tounge2.gif

(SA was made with PS2 in mind as well.)

Jea, but in sa for pc, the gamepade doesn't even work properly.

Some of the controls are still on the keyboard. Like on mine.

I have everything mapped to my controller. Logitech Rumblepad 2. Using the software, I changed the "start" to be the Esc key and the "dpad" to be up = g, down = h, left = left arrow, and right = right arrow. Using that setup, I can map everything EXACTLY like the PS2 version of the game.

And if you use an Xbox controller, you can use xpadder or SAAC to map it exactly like the Xbox version, though I don't know why you would...

Yeah the console versions were designed for the 360/PS3 controller rather then keyboard/mouse for obvious reasons but when it came to PC they made it just as keyboard/mouse friendly as it was to the 360 controller although given initially the game wouldn't properly support non-360 gamepads! As for the keyboard/mouse controls themselves, for me they worked perfectly comfortable at their defaults and this goes way back to GTA3. It really just comes down to what you find easier.

You can user SAAC to overcome all of those issues and it will map every single button.

Sure, just stick some TV antennes up your head and get a nice angle and

start focusing your mind to the game and force it lol

And cheese is optional for the taste.

Mind control is much harder than you might think (no pun intended). I saw a science program where a guy was controlling a robot with his mind and he had difficulty keeping the robot going in a straight line. The scientist said you have to try to only think of the direction you want it to go in and nothing else, but of course, it is very difficult to free your mind to think of only one thing without thinking about something else every few seconds or at the same time.

Yeah, thats very hard.

You try to keep the robot walk straight and all of a sudden a gaint boob is showing

in your mind and you want to touch that LOL

You forgot to add the option for gamepad AND keyboard/mouse. IMO using a keyboard and mouse for driving is awful due to the lack of analog input for steering, I also hate trying to aim with a gamepad. One of the benefits of the PC version is that you can choose which input method to use, or like me you can use both. Since rockstar did such a good job of making both input methods work it's pretty silly to try and claim that the game was designed more for one input method over another.

The gamepad I'm using is an old logitech cordless rumblepad, I would have replaced it a while ago but it's been difficult to find another gamepad with 12 buttons.
