Zcheese
Well, in the wishlist and create your own GTA topics there`s a lot of debate on wether there should be over the top stuff like parachutes, jetpacks, should be in the next GTA. The most common argument against it is is that it would destroy the immersion of the new `` realistic `` feel that R* pulled off in GTA IV. The most common argument in defense is that jetpacks and parachutes were a lot of fun in GTA San Andreas to screw around with and basically the mainstream gamer wants this kind of stuff. So, my idea is, that instead of stuff that goes pretty far ( Like the jetpack ) there should be still stuff like parachutes and other things to screw around with, but in a manner that it wouldn`t break the immersion that the new GTA provides but still looks cool. But certain things should be noted to balance things out. I`ll give a few examples later. There should be a certain risk in all the over the top stuff you can do. So you actually have to consides doing something dangerous or not, you may choose a safer ( but probably '' longer '') way out of a situation that doesn`t involve doing dangerous things. The over the top things should also be pretty difficult to do, so the risk you take when doing crazy stunts etc. is greater. A few ideas with the stuff aboven included. Parachutes: Parachutes should be pretty hard to control: Landing an airplane could be safer than bailing out of a airplane and resorting on your parachute that`s pretty hard to control. Also, the wind could play a role and you`d have to pull out your parachute at a high attitude, otherwise you`d crash onto the ground. In an urban area you could crash into the side of a building. Climbing onto trucks: Climbing onto a truck could be used to hijack trucks that won`t stop. But when you`re onto the back of the truck you`ll have to keep your balance and climb onto the right ledges. At the driver`s cabin you`ll actually have to fight with the driver to hijack the truck. ( Like truck hustle in GTA IV only more difficult ) Taking poeple hostage: When you take poeple hostage law enforcement won`t shoot you and you may negotiate your way out. But when taking someone hostage the police will surround you, so it`s not very smart to do it too long. Also the guy you`re taking hostage can try to escape blurring your aim and creating an oppertunity for the police to capture you Discuss, and share new ideas....
