Problem with gun runner mission in Vice city

In the mission gun runners as soon as I set off with the patriot vehicle from Phil's place, I encounter two jeeps with boxes. In the mini map such jeeps are represented by yellow blips. The problem is that as soon as I attack the first jeep and take the weapon from the crate, the other 3 "yellow blips" just disappear from the mini map. Any suggestions? No mods, trainers or cheats used.

Do the other vehicles disappear too or just the blips??

 

do you a mission failed message?? What happens next...

 

Any other problems?? Have you tried messing with any settings that affect game/pc performance--- frame limiter on, draw distance reduced, resolution reduced (just for that mission).

 

Any chance you can upload your save for others to check out.....

 

Although this is a bit drastic.. it might fix it.... re-install the game and see if that fixes it.

I tried re installing the game and that fixed the problem, but after reading your post I first tried to locate those jeeps manually without using the map and found that they existed. The problem was that it wasn't showing up on the map. After that I re-installed the game and the problem got solved.I don't get any mission failed page.
