Bon3zz1001
Here's the error I keep getting while trying to play Episodes from Liberty City. The game crashes and gives me this error EVERYTIME when I chose one of the story modes, click start and when the splash screen pops up it crashes and gives me this error. Is there even a known way to fix this or did I waste my money? Description: Critical runtime problem Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPLICATION CRASH System RAM: -806236160 Available RAM: 2022940672 Number of CPUs: 4 Video Card Manufacturer: NVIDIA Video Card Description: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 Video Card Driver Version: 8.17.0012.5856 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt How am I suppose to fix this? I've been searching on google for 2 days now and every so called "fix" doesn't work. I've tried reinstalling everything, installing / reinstalling the frameworks, installing / reinstalling the redistributables, disabling my AV and firewall, and I also tried the RAM trick that's pinned at the top of the forums. Why is this happening? I just want to play the game. Edited August 2, 2010 by Bon3zz1001
mkey82
Make sure you have only the latest GFWL installed. Clean the GPU drivers, that can only do you good and maybe try a different driver version.

Clean the GPU drivers, that can only do you good and maybe try a different driver version. I have the latest GFWL client installed and there's only 2 drivers for the GTX 460. The ones that come with the disk and the ones on the nvidia website. Neither one of them work and the one on the website is unstable. I CAN NOT revert to old drivers as they do not support the GTX 460.
mkey82
Try using xliveless and see if that changes anything. This also may be a securom issue, but in that case you're probably f*cked.

But with xliveless I obviously cannot connect to Xbox Live correct? That kind of defeats the purpose as I wanted to earn achievements.
