gregallz5 Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010 (edited) Come on Guys, a female protagonist, it CAN'T be bad, just look at Tomb Raider with Lara Croft, I don't know how many copies were sold, but let's just say it ain't "Tomb Raider who? NEVER heard of it." OK if a female protagonist, might not be the best idea, but we should give it a go, 'cause it could be the start of something new, if it sells millions of copies, Rockstar Games would even try a gay, one legged, welsh protagonist. Here's my idea of the female protagonist: Name: Maria Jackson Age: 21 Sexuality: Straight From: Brixton, South London, United Kingdom Apperance: Blonde, 5 ft 10, massive boobs, skinny waist, blue eyes Background: After having a row with her ex boyfriend, a local mobster, on holiday with him to visit her aunt Destiny 'cause her Mum doesn't want anything to do with Maria 'cause of her boyfriend, so she dis-owned her. They have a massive row outside a nightclub when the DJ dedicates the song by 50 Cent "21 Questions" to Maria, her boyfriend, starts a row with the DJ, so they get kicked out of the night club, she storms off to find her aunts house (safehouse number one) on her way a cutscene shows her upset texting him "You evil pig, I hate you, I ain't coming home with you, I'm staying with my Aunt Destiny, we're over!" and she chucks her passport out of the car, Her mission involve jobs, getting with men, later on in the game she has a one night stand with one of her boyfriends (who she meets during a mission and he takes a shine to her and becomes her boyfriend, but she still meets men on Love-meet.com only to have fun with, like going out for drinks.) and ends up becoming pregnant, and the last of the story missions involves her meeting up with her ex, (who killed her Aunt Destiny and used her blood to write on the walls "You made me do this, I loved you!") she ends up meeting him and kills him when she says "You f*cking bastard, you twat, you control freak, you, you, sh*t I've gone into labour, oh Christ!" she feels her water breaks and she tries to get to the hospital, where she rings her boyfriend up to tell him, she's giving birth to beautiful baby boy called James. The end of the Storylines mission cutscence would be Maria saying "We'll look after you James, It's just, you me and your Daddy." II Goonah II Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010 The only problem with having a female protagonist is that men (who I believe is the main audience of GTA) will be to judgmental of her because they're either going to think she's not good looking, or she is. Also, you described her has having 'massive boobs', well that's a little stereo-typical of female characters and it would look to much like a Hollywood movie. (this was already posted in another topic, I had to steal it) 3. Even if the protag is a hitwoman, I think no-one would hire a woman to kill someone. 4. Women are usually physically weaker than men. That means that it would be unusual to see a woman wielding an AK or a rocket launcher without falling on her butt, or shaking the barrel uncontrollably. 5. What about hand-to-hand combat? Sure women can learn martial arts and such bullsh*t, but not a woman could beat any man with more than six months in a gym, prison or the street. There's no way. Many women can shoot a gun without it shaking around, that doesn't involve any strength that women cannot train to have. Saints row, Tomb Raider, Bayonetta, even on Scarface the Game they Had a Hitwoman who worked for Tony. also same with State of Emergency. Max payne 2, Mirrors edge, GTA: IV Mutilplayer, Etc. etc.. i cant find any problems with having a Woman Protag.. a Woman can fire a gun or rocket launcher without falling.. and for hot coffee.. i know it would be weird.. but having Boyfriends.. also i think it would welcome more Women gamers to GTA. i would like to see her in a DLC tho. not the core game.. but whatever.. its my Opinion..
