While playing GTA 1, music stops for no reason...

While playing GTA 1 (on windows 7), music stops to play for no reason and randomly(!). Its just with music. The other sounds keeps normal.

Some trick?

 

Edit: Music stay mute until i close the game. If i exit a mission and start another one, the music will keep mute.

I know this is an old topic, but I have the same problem. Using the version from Rockstar Classics.

 

When I get in a car, music and sounds work fine at first. But after a minute or so, the music just stops playing. All other sounds work fine but the music never comes back until I restart the game.

 

Using Windows 7 64bit, any ideas?

I don't have a solution for you, maybe only some fixes. Check out gtamp for many options that could help you. Buy the game from someone too. It is always nice to own a copy.
