Cojage
On january 2nd and 17th and on july 17 the op claimed to be in iran, but on july 27th he said he hadn't been there in 5 years. This is also someone who claims very matter of factly that liberty city is 438 square miles, and that rockstar is only 1/20 of the way done with the new gta as a few days ago. So you who believe this guy have been warned that he is a habitual liar and makes things up off the cuff. He is also a 16 year old kid. Lol I see. /topic

Jabalous
I don't want to see others look at myself as an idiot who believe any story on the Internet , but I have mentioned in my reply that his story could be false by stating " If your story was true " . I don't know much about the background of this member , but the way he's writing is an educated and a respected way . It's hard to believe that somehow and somewhere you could find some workers from Rockstar , but others can't . What's the probability of finding them in Huston but not in other cities ? the thing that has made me doubt more and more , is the supposed dialogue between the workers , where they mentioned that they are still looking for a suitable accent , which seems very strange when taking into account that the development on GTA has started after a short time of launching GTA IV , so , I don't expect Rockstar will keep looking for a suitable protagonist for two years . Anyway , I can't be sure whether he's saying the truth or not , but I hope he can present more evidences if he can , and if he can't , the picture will be clear about him when the first information come out about the game from the darkness to the light . Mainland Marauder
Surely the most significant part of this story is the fact they were spotted in Houston?? Thats the main thing that jumped out at me, not some obscure quote that 'may' hint towards Vice City.... GTA Houston - here's hoping! Total doubt, Houston isn't necessarily a culturally diverse city because of all the immigrants. Bullsh*t. (Just like this whole story in all likelihood) There really are few cities that can match Houston there. There would be a lot of things going for a game set in Texas. The crime element can come from the drug runners and the coyotes (human traffickers) over the border. This has been played upon in several concepts in this section. Oh, and those freeways could make for some interesting chases too... "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be." I can't give you a direct confirmation from a mouth of a Rockstar's employee , but I can give you other reasons that I hope can help . The first one , in July 2009 , the famous video games industry analyst , Michael Pachter , stated that Take Two management confirmed to him that Rockstar North has been at hard work on GTA V for over a year . The second one , logically , it's Rockstar' habit to start working on every new GTA as soon as they have launched or have finished the work on the GTA that's ready for launching . The work on GTA IV has started after the launch of GTA SA in 2004 , so , since the engine is ready , which is RAGE , they could have started working on the next GTA since or before the launch of GTA IV . There's no reason to delay working on it especially when taking into account that GTA is the franchise that has made Rockstar one of the video games industry leaders . Most of the profit that Rockstar is gaining , is coming from the mind-blowing GTA's sales . Edited July 31, 2010 by FiS!!HeR

I couldn't agree with you more, V is probably either already finished and they are already beginning work on VI or it's very near completion and they are just taking out little glitches and things like that. Jabalous
I don't agree with you both . When stating that the next GTA is finished or nearly finished , the thing that comes to my mind is that the game is 80 - 100 % finished . This seems impossible , because if it's 90 % finished , this would mean that 2-3 months and the game will hit the shelves ! Since GTA III , Rockstar announces every new one when it's still 8-12 months until its release , and when they announce it , it's almost 50-60 % finished . In one of the previews of GTA IV that was published in July 2007 , the preview stated that the game is 55 % finished . There should be enough time to market the game , and to rise the hype up . Zee
Oh noes, I made an educated assumption, f*cking shoot me. How the f*ck was I supposed to know you lived in Houston? You put Tehran, Iran as your location, which seems like a pretty f*cking stupid thing to do for someone edgy enough jump the gun like you did and start declaring me a racist for no reason. There's a huge difference between an immigrant and someone on vacation, and considering the fact that Iran's only became a notably hostile nation in recent years, as well as the supposed home to multiple terrorist/rebel groups one would come to the conclusion that travel to and from the aforementioned country would be heavily regulated, and restricted. Your edginess tells me that you're hiding somethingl. No-one normal jumps the gun like that unless they're trying to conceal something personally damaging. King's bullsh*t detector starts tingling. Nope, you got owned, and now you're mad.
