sminem
This topic is in response to Miami is too soft for GTA V, Chicago isn't by DoubleOGJohnson. Many people have been saying lately that Miami is too soft and doesn't have enough crime to be a good setting for GTA V. Miami still has one of the highest crime/murder rates in the country. As of 2009 Miami has had 77 murders, 101 rapes, 2,111 robberies, 3,642 aggravated assault cases, 4,442 burglaries, 11,967 larceny/thefts, and 3,879 vehicle thefts. As a resident and real estate agent working all around the South Florida area I can tell you that I see the crime taking place in the Miami area and I can assure you that Miami is far from soft. All of the crime statistics listed above can be easily found through various crime websites.

The Lolwut Pear
So should have the Chicago topic, but it's still going on. Chicago is too "mafia" steorotypical for me, I prefer my Vice City.
BrownBear
My problem with Chicago is that its mostly street gangs, where as Vice city has a very diverse gangland.

Exactly, in Miami we have Zoe Pound, Latin Kings, The Outlaws MC, and maybe even some Crips so it's not just all one gang we have a bunch of different ones which isn't exactly a good thing but still just saying. sminem
Defiantley I want Haitians to take a bigger role, voodoo and stuff. If I remember correctly Auntie Poulet used Voodoo potions on Tommy Vercetti to get him to do stuff for her. But from what I hear the members of Zoe Pound actually do sometimes use voodoo. Little known fact we actually do have a few motorcycle gangs here in Florida so maybe The Lost or The Angles of Death could be incorporated into V if it takes place in VC. GritEngine
Gulf Oil Disaster, Haiti Weather Disasters, Katrina, the whole sh*t in the south since then - no way is rockstar not going to do that. In fact, if SA does come first, it will be to let that stuff cool off down there - but I don't see them sh*tting on their political pull that way - not this time, there will be no avoidance. They are laying out the cards on the real table on this trip through liberty vice and san. Powerful sh*t in IV already. This game is not about crime and anyone who would pick the location based on a crime rate is daft and is the exact people that get made of in this game, this game which is about media which is evident because the crime in GTA is TV CRIME and nothing like "real life crime". So don't let them get you down in that other topic, it's not even an issue mate. Ridiculous, I agree. But also, fitting, because as the saying goes: When even your enemies love you, you must be a Rockstar. Edited July 30, 2010 by GritEngine

K^2
If it's in response to the other thread, don't you think you maybe should post it there? That's usually how threads work. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
