jamieleng
@GTAOCD He's talking about Congressman Stubbs' full frontal nude scene in The Lost & Damned & how there was no full frontal female nudity to counter balance it. I wouldn't be surprised if R* felt a little uneasy about female nudity after the 'Hot Coffee' debacle. It's funny how male nudity isn't considered sexual, as women are less turned on by erotic imagery compared to men. They had ample opportunity for female nudity in TBOGT as Luis was a complete man-whore, at least my Luis was. He must have gone through about 7 women in one night trying to do 'The Bus Stop'. IllnessGTA
- Unlimited ammo STILL BEING RESET after reloading the game. HORRIBLE! Not being able to unlock unlimited ammo and be able to save and reload with the higher amounts of ammo. - Only having reserved parking spaces and no parking garages! - No purchasable houses in the game. - Cops saw you enter!!! (paint and spray ghey-ness) - Most taxi drivers are the same stupid guy. (lack of variety.) - Missing taxi missions (even if they aren't required, atleast allow them as an option to make cash and build up a high score. I say make them part of the 100% again and just don't require them to be completed all in one go.) - Missing rampages - Immediately getting stars for crimes that can't be proven, such as setting off a sticky bomb from far away or using a silent weapon in a hidden ally with NO witnesses. There should be a few ways to avoid stars using these "stealth" methods of killing targets - WTF. - Not being able to swing a baseball bat (GTA IV. The baseball bat should knock people out cold. Should be able to bust a huge dent into vehicles as well. GTA IV has the most retarded baseball bat mechanics, plus a major pause between swings..) - Police using SHOTGUNS at only 2 stars! Tha [email protected]#$%*ck... - Extreme close up of the penis in a cinematic without any close-up of boobs or vagina in another. - No "off" option for the radio in game. - Tiny ass text message window in the corner that requires a big and recent HD Monitor/TV to read. No option to make the text window larger or full screen for those with smaller TVs. - Health and Armor status placed around the radar. Really stupid in my opinion. - No Army in six stars. No Rhino. And i'm talking about the "REAL" Rhino from GTA3, Vice City, LCS, and VCS... Not that san andreas p.o.s. or the wimpy Noose tank from BOGT that can't fire artillery worth a crap. We need a tank that can crush cars practically flat and blast peds into tomato sauce on the wall. - Stupid B&W interior camera on subways and trains. And not being able to explore the interior during the ride lol. It's harder to move when the train or subway is in motion, but not impossible. - Not being able to hitch a ride in the back of a pickup truck. If someone drives off when your in the back, you should be able to sit and STAY PUT like in real life. WTF. - Not being able to ride the bus. - Crappy main storyline girlfriends with real no resolution in the end. Either burnt out or too shy to ever hot coffee. Why not a storyline girlfriend that can potentially go beyond the others and offer several benefits to the gameplay. The main character doesn't always have to be single in the end. I'm not asking for a happily ever after ending, but perhaps just a choice for a "happier" ending. - Storyline choices that focus too much on life or death choices between people. - Being 100% forced to lose a fantastic piece of property. Not being able to save or buy a similar piece of property later!? Just pure loss!! - Cars so rare they are impossible to get after a certain point in the game because they NEVER spawn. Some of those are really retarded no offence

Pac.
annoying "collectibles" like hiddee packages, flying rats, they bore the sh*t out of me I agree, i liked the ones in Vice City they actually gave you cool stuff for every ten you found, especially the Water-sparrow chopper that could land on water and shoot mother-f*ckers! That was some seriouse hardcore sh*t homies! And the special cars and all the other stuff.

Madmonk420
Its going to be repetitive because its the same type of game. You are still going to have to get in a car and drive some where and pick up something or kill someone.Thats what gta is.The cops should be a lot harder to escape though. You should really feel like there is a net closing in around you.You should have to lay low for a longer time. More weapons.Duel weilding,Customise cars without mods like SA.This would really allow you to put or own mark on the game.Im one who like to keepa car as long as I can.Im a fan of muscle cars so I like th sabre GT ect.It would be really great to cutomise one to my own taste. It would also include vehicle performance,Speed handling really letting you use your money to get your car up to scratch. Im not sure if it would be good or bad but we should have the option of filling your car with gas ect. The driving could be normal or simulation. In simulation you have to obey the rules of the road..... speed, wreakless driving traffic lights. ect. You should be able to pay a fine for driving crimes. In simulation you would have a fuel gauge. I think the next game will involve more countryside so running out of fuel could be a problem. SA had a special feel to as though your money was actually going somewhere. In 4 the money gets spent on weapons. Its was sadly lacking in comparison to sa in terms of side missions and things to buy. If the new game is based in LA then I think we will see all this stuff return. The thing is the decade of which the game will be set.Sa was set in the 90`s so all these things seemed organic to the game. The decade governs what will be avilable and realistic to the games setting.A sort of SA with gta 4 game engine and graphics. Its got to be a winner. Online needs looked at I think we will see that pulled along side RDR in terms of online rewards and the set up in general. I think this time it should have a hardcore mode..... aa disallow no blips which player would gat extra Xp for playing rather than AA. Swimming underwater? There should be places where street racers hangout and you can win new cars ect.Or lose your own if your a chump. Anyone ever thought that the next main chararcter could actually be a bent cop. Dishonourable discharge ect??However being an ex cop comes with advantages in one way and disadvantages in another.Would add a real edge to the story. You could go on all day about this. Most of the ideas come from actually playing the game. You think " yeah that would be good" Cant remeber off the top of my head just now buts there lots of stuff that could be put back into the game that was left out since SA.TBOGT took steps to put some of these things back in but being GTA fan thats played every single game Id feel disapointed if it would take another DLC to bring the game up to expectation. MyDog
* Real cars, like Lambos and Ferraris* Dress up a policeman and work with them * Fuel station to fill up petrol * Lock your car * Rockstar can't do that because of copyrights. * That's stupid. You're a criminal for God's sake! * That would be annoying, running out of petrol * What for? My list: What I don't want to see: 1. Jetpacks 2. Unrealism 3. Planes (just a Dodo could work) 4. A protagonist without a name, and personality. 5. Too small map 6. Too big map 7. Too much guns 8. Unrealistic guns What I want to see: 1. Realism 2. Mafia storyline 3. Ability to customize your character's clothes, haircut, etc 4. Countryside, but a big city too 5. At least one, accessible casino 6. And if they make a foreign protagonist, it would be bad if they again f*ck up with the language
Wolfmight
What I want to see: 1. Realism Explain more details about the realism. There are some forms of realism that could make the game more enjoyable and others that would only bring the annoyances of real life into game play. Forms of realism I don't want to see in the game include: 1. Ultra realistic driving citations: Running a stop sign gets you a star - Running a red light gets you a star - Driving on the sidewalk gets you a star - Almost hitting a cop or ped gets you a star (gotta love getting away with that one) - Driving a totaled vehicle gets you a star - Driving a reported stolen vehicle gets you a star after driving it for a very long time - Making an illegal u-turn gets you a star - Driving on the wrong side of the road gets you a star - Leaving your vehicle illegally parked gets you a star - wrecking in general gets you a star (except for authority cars) -flipping your car over gets you a star. 2. Speed limit signs that cops will enforce 3. Cars requiring fuel, having to refuel at gas stations, keeping an eye on the fuel gauge. (it's a hell of a lot more fun to have infinite fuel - case closed lol) 4. Driving a vehicle with blood all over it gets you a star. (LOL) 5. Crouching behind a vehicle to avoid gunfire still wont protect you from some bullets that go all the way through the vehicle. (ghey-ness. crouching behind vehicles is necessary hollywood protection in a gun fight for gta.) 6. STDs from Hos. (oh come on) 7. Need to eat or you starve. (more sims than gta) 8. Need to go no.1 and no.2 (more sims than gta. imagine slowing down in a chase on foot because you gotta go no.2 really bad...LOL real life loves to have those kinds of chances. But not gta gamers.) 9. Need to do other sims things or else your meters will go from green to red (won't be any time to play the game always having to maintain your daily sims requirments.) 10. No respawnable cars. I like when a certain mission gives you a nice vehicle that respawns. Or when a character's car respawns outside of their house. A Gta tradition that should stay. 11. Tasers. Would get annoying really fast. 12. Realistic tank instead of the traditional RHINO. Nothing beats the Rhino, I say it makes a come-back in style. Gotta love that ultra GTA3 Rhino durability haha. 13. Parking garages DON'T restore your car to fully repaired condition. 14. Sleeping doesn't immediately heal your injuries the next day lol. health packs only heal a percent of your health or your health goes up gradually after taking a health pack or sleeping. 15. Some vehicles can't be hot wired at all - too complex for the character. Forms of realism I would like to see are: 1. Cops offering the option to pull you over for having 1 star, being able to go through the whole procedure to pay a ticket to get rid of that one star on the spot. In GTAIV I notice cops tap their siren a little bit when they notice you driving too crazy, but you still don't get a star and they don't investigate the situation. Of course, you could also just run from the 1 star easily as well, but this could be useful if you don't exactly want to leave the area and accidentally get 1 star. 2. Cops pulling over a ped in their car once in a rare while as well to add to the realism. You don't know what crime was committed, but they could be pulled over the same amount of times you would normally see people pulled over in a city. Haha maybe even some rubber necking-maybe. 3. Stealth kills not getting you a star. A few snipes from a distance should be near-impossible to spot the sniper. Not getting caught placing a bomb and then setting it off from a hidden location should also not get you any stars. A kill in an inconspicuous location with a silent weapon and no witnesses should not get you a star. 4. Being able to kill the witness in secluded areas - if only 1 or 3 people see you crime in a secluded area, you can take them all out to prevent a star. As long as none have contacted any authorities. In GTAIV, this is not very true. The star tends to just appear by too much negative karma too fast, because even if you kill all witnesses, you can still get a star or two by chance determined by how much crime you commit in a certain period of time. Of course if many people "hear" your unsilenced weapon go off, I say you still just get the star to keep some traditional gta gameplay for the loud weapons. 5. Shove and throw peds. You can already kind of shove peds in GTAIV, but only minor combat shoves. I'm talking about a real shove several feet away from you. Shove them onto their ass. For a throw, your character would have to be really strong. But I'm thinking, you could pick them up off the ground by their shirt and throw them back, etc. Dirty moves that you could possibly need training for like in GTA:SA to be able to do. Would really add some extra fun to the game. Another way to take out a special target in a mission too and avoid some stars. 6. Special roadside assistance for stalled cars you REALLY don't wanna lose (unless their on fire, then your f*cked.) They basically do the ol paint-n-spray passage of time and make er good as new, but only if you don't have any stars. Should also cost a little extra. Perhaps a good friend rating with one of your friends gets you the occasionally free roadside assistance repair too lol. 7. Ordering weapons and perhaps even unique/rare vehicles from the web to be delivered to your door like Chinatown wars. 8. Taxis and other peds ACTUALLY try not to hit your parked vehicles in your parking zones. And have parking garages to save a hassle - thank you. Undecided forms of realism that could possibly be added: 1. Cops handcuffing arrested peds once in awhile in addition to the brutally forced walk to the car at the point of a gun-maybe. They could also handcuff you after you fully submitted to the arrest OR if you were to run off with the cuffs still on, there'd have to be several ways to get them back off. Might add more real-life annoyance than it's worth, but it's open to debate. 2. Additional forms of witnesses - A pedestrian witness of your crime could, in addition to phoning the police, run up to a cop in person and ask for help. (might make the game more annoying too.) Imagine everytime you steal a car, they might run to nearby police that didn't see the theft. Yeah, maybe this one would be too much. Kwandilibro
3. Planes (just a Dodo could work) What? Who the hell doesn't want to see planes? Unless you didn't know how to fly them, they were awesome. 1. Realism I would hope R* doesn't go overboard with this one. There really needs to be a balance of realism and fun. An over realistic game is just stupid and boring. 2. Mafia storyline What is with the obsession with the mafia around here? Every story does not need to be centered around them, and IV's story definitely was. Besides, the storyline needs to be varied. No one criminal group should dominate the story, otherwise it isn't balanced. And it definitely shouldn't be another mafia storyline. 6. And if they make a foreign protagonist, it would be bad if they again f*ck up with the language Yeah, that's why GTA should probably stay in America/London. Because R* doesn't know sh*t about other countries. Lol, they didn't even know how to properly pronounce "Bellic". They pronounced in "Bellick". R* really has no idea what to do once they enter the realm of non English speaking countries.

Why can't there be a mix? That would please everyone, and wouldn't become repetitive. GTA has had 2 mafia storylines already. Enough of that sh*t. Either have a mix, or try something else. And why can't we have planes just because it doesn't make sense for the protagonist? That just limits everything. If that was the case, no mobster, no gangster, or hardly anyone else would work. We'd have to have another military protagonist or something. So elements of unrealism have to be excused for the sake of fun. I mean come on, we've yet to have a protagonist who was a registered pilot, yet all of the other GTA's had planes. Especially SA. And look how fun SA was. No unrestrictive "it's too unrealistic" sh*t. Now, granted, some things like the jetpack and a lot of the later missions were incredibly unrealistic, but they were sure as hell more fun than driving around killing people all day. And I doubt we'll ever see the jetpack again, unless GTA ends up in the 60's in the southwest. But it had to be in SA. Come on, how could you have area 51 and not have some weird government experimental object or something? However, instead of missions like singlehandedly breaking into a heavily guarded military base and killing hundreds of guards to steal a jetpack for personal use, I'd much rather have the option to call a group of criminal friends to help me raid a military armory or a small base. And perhaps we could raid police stations to steal their weapons. Of course, that type of sh*t needs to be well executed, no "run in and get to killing" stuff like SA. Pac. I agree we need diversity for a game, but IV did have diversity, IV was New York so seeing all these different groups such as Mafia and Russians was neccesary, no matter how powerfull they used to be, compare it to modern day crime rates, they still run different things. Me, I don't have a problem with the mob, but we don't need multiple games based on them, especially right after Mafia II. We need a mix. And personally, I think London would be a pretty good location, but I think the southern US should come first, so we get that warm, sunny environment after IV's dark, cold feeling. And as for criminal groups, we should have a good mix of gangs, mafioso, cartels, free lancers, and even corrupt government officials.

Walshy1093
I agree with a lot of stuff here, too much to quote. I agree with the Miami setting mostly, I liked the atmosphere and with it being expanded to the size of one of the current GTA maps I think it would be great. Things I don't want to see that I haven't seen mentioned: - Don't want cars to set on fire when shot in places that would in no way set it on fire - Don't want to be able to hear the police radio when you get a wanted level as if you just happen to carry one around - Don't want the protagonist to be a boring, depressed bastard like Niko (Probably has been mentioned) - Don't want to be able to attain really powerful weapons early on, I think using M4's and AK47's against already stupid AI is just too easy, stick to just carrying a pistol for the most part as being able to carry a Pistol, SMG, Assault Rifle, RPG and 10 grenades all at once and just pull them from nowhere is pretty stupid. At least make us feel happy to have one or make us make a choice of gun to fill a slot for a period of time rather than it just be another one of many under a magic shirt -Don't want to see busy areas to be almost barren e.g. Times Square in GTA IV. There is usually only a few cars and a handful of pedestrians. -I think this was mentioned, but Please! let us assassinate people with a silenced Sniper Rifle from a distance or Silenced Pistol in a secluded spot, and not get a freaking star for it! -Don't want to find a rare car and then see 20 of them drive past me as soon as I get in it, it just ruins the feeling. I saw somewhere else that it said that it helps with the frame rate or something because the game is producing less variety of models, but can't it just have a script to spawn a load of 'common' cars instead? -Don't want the cars to feel so insignificant, after all the title of the game does refer to vehicles, so it should focus on them more. By insignificant I mean you run up to one, smash the window, hotwire, joyride, drive erratically, crash, blow up, rinse and repeat. I know you're thinking, well the title is Grand Theft Auto, but i'd like to be able to pick the lock instead of just breaking the window in the middle of a busy street and have the choice to buy my own cars, and for the people who occasionally want to drive sensibly, make the AI regard us as another road user and not jump us at lights and so on. Mafia II managed it fine. -PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make us be able to travel at the same speed as the AI characters when walking/running next to them! The one example I can think of is Momma's Boy in BoGT, when you have to walk next to some guy down the street to the fight club. You go faster than him so you have to keep starting and stopping. I think the controls should be analog stick by itself only walks, hold A/X/whatever key on PC and you jog, tap it and you sprint. -Tweak the movement mechanics from IV. To me he responds too slow and sometimes unpredictably and if you're trying to scale something can end up in you falling to your death. Same with cover, he seems to be reluctant to move when you want him to. Fair enough if you disagree with some/all of my ideas, this is just my opinion.
More on Topic • Diversity of Gangs like IV (prefered location either Miami or London) • No more of that realism over-drive sh*t, that rockstar pulled off, Tbogt mixed with IV would be good. • More seriousness when it comes to business instead if laughter • protgonist more confident with a brighter and witty character, Tommy mixed with Niko. • Planes if it fits with the story •
Kwandilibro
Bellic is pronounced "Behleech". That I'm almost certain on. Wrong, it's Beeelich. With long e and short i. Written Belić. Oh. I don't know, I don't speak Serbian, or any other language except English and some Spanish. @Pac., Corrupt officials are not the mafia, they're exactly what I said they are. Corrupt officials. The drug trafficker Rick Ross, he worked with a CIA agent. And he was just a trafficker for street gangs in LA. No mob connections. @Walshy1093, I agree with a lot of what you said. One thing that stood out was the ability to walk at the same speed(and style) as pedestrians. I always found it stupid that every protagonist seems to walk with that retarded chest out walk, and always at the same speed, faster than the peds. I'd rather be able to control walking speed, and the style of walking should depend on the clothing style being worn.

I'm a normal kid. I'm very intelligent, y'know Bosnian, Montenegrin and Croatian are the same as Serbian lol. Just a few minor differences, but they can easily understand each other (people). The only other two languages I know are French and English. With the first one, not too much though.

I thought those were three totally different languages, like French, German, and Chinese. Because honestly, I really don't know whether or not those are the same country. OT, One thing I really hope was specific to IV was those allknowing, omniscient cops. I mean, how could they always know when you did everything and be everywhere within a second? No witnesses and yet the cops still knew. If you place a sticky bomb and hide in the ally and set it off, you can still get a star too. There needs to be more ways to avoid getting stars using realistic Stealth.
Pac.
I agree when you commit the crime you should have at least 20 seconds i'd say, then the heat begins, also i think getting injured shoudl be alot more easier, so mabey roughly 4 pistol bullets at once kill you, shotgun kills you straight away, kind of like in Mafia II, that would be good. And with armour you survive even more, i hated how much life you got, then mabey it goes back up after a few seconds.
