The Lolwut Pear
What's the fun of a jetpack? You just fly around at a much slower rate than in a chopper or plane. Sure, it's good to reach slightly unreachable areas, but you can use a Parachute from a higher altitude and get there.

GTA4Life22
to have fun cheats and actually make stuff to do after you beat all the missions and side missions. I liked GTA IV's storyline, it's just when i beat all the missions, there is nothing to do. in San Andreas there was plenty to do. i don't know why Rockstar took the fun gameplay out. The-San-Andreas-man
All GTA SA needed was a ragdoll type physics system and better graphics. In GTA V, I want it to be more realistic, but also over the top. And I mean like realistic in little details, or just going around and seeing how real things are. I don't understand why people would want a next generation game like San Andreas AGAIN. We need something different and more advanced. Going less realistic would be boring and the same things would happen over and over again. Another thing I would not like is stupid enemies. Oh my god, the GTA 3 era had enemies dumber than a pack of babies. Like seriously. Make that more realistic and challenging.
Nativedeem
sounds like you hate GTASA I don't hate SA, or any GTA for that matter. It's just some of the things I don't like were introduced in SA. Haha it seems like most of the people on this forum hate most of the things I liked about past GTA's. I loved San Andreas with the big map, and jet pack. What was wrong with the jet pack? But that is America, everybody thinks differently. I agree I don't want to see a female protagonist, didn't know that was an actual possibility? i think its obvious what gta you like. what dont i wanna see again? liberty city. features being taken out. Racecarlock
I don't want my cousin calling me every five minutes to take him to restaurants and go bowling. I don't want to go to another city where the predominate color is gray. I don't want a single weather cheat that cycles through five different types of rain just to get to "Sunny". I don't want to have to stick to the law because of overpowered cops. I don't want to go flying out of the windshield every time I hit a tree at more than 5 mph. I don't want them to shun aviation again.
Algonquin Assassin
@Miamivicecity, I don't like the idea of a fully street gang based storyline anyway. The storyline in SA started and ended as a street gang theme, but the bulk was not even close. Either way, GTA needs a vast mix, rather than this one criminal organization sh*t. But how the f*ck did you not like Ryder? He was funny as hell! As for eating and the gym, I found them kind of annoying, although if anything was annoying, it was the gang wars. f*cking Ballas attacking me every five seconds..... I didn't like Ryder, because he was annoying as hell. Every cutscene he was in I wanted to get up, and punch a hole in my TV. IMO he's the most irritating character R* have ever made along with Marty from VCS, and Vincenzo from LCS. Not American mate. I'm Australian. The jetpack to me simply doesn't fit a GTA no matter how unrealistic it is. I can understand how some people like it, but it's not for me. Mr.Moffat
I don't want: a female protaginist, a gigantic map, an Asian setting or over the top car customization. The jet pack was just silly fun but silly, I'd take the flying car cheat over a jetpack thank yo. Edited August 1, 2010 by Mr.Moffat
Reaver.
I don't want to see just surface swimming like on GTA IV, I want to swim underwater and look around. I don't want a female protagonist, I'm not sexist, but seeing a woman carjack someone with an Uzi, then drive away with a box of tampons in the back-seat just doesn't interest me. I'd always be wondering if it was her time of the month yet. A GTA based in the past, I like feeling as if I'm exploring a city as it is happening currently. If it was based in the past, I'd always feel as if he's a helpless old man now. His life of killing people and stealing planes is over, as he's currently in an old peoples home. I don't want a small map, I want a large map, similar to San Andreas, filled with towns, forests etc.
bigg z
A past setting. Maybe the 90's is fine, because I love a lot about that decade, but any earlier than that I wouldn't like. Female protagonist. Personal preference. Only a city as the setting. I don't need multiple cities, one large city like IV is fine, but there should be some variety. It doesn't have to be the same empty space as SA, but some places that are not entirely urban should be there to complement the metropolitan area. Too much realism. IV went in a more realistic direction, but it still wasn't close to a simulation, which is good. I think anything much more realistic than IV will be going too far. Repetition. Too many missions which involve similar actions, even some storylines have the same feel to them. I understand it is not that simple to make a lot of different unique missions, but Rockstar has to find a way to mix it up a little bit more. AlfieWilRus
Paramedic Missions, customizable character, small map, too short a game, close to impossible to get 100%, cars blow in in 5 high speed crashes, traiters in the plot, long and boring missions that have no significant to the plot, very short awesome missions that are significant to the plot, annoying side missions, having your character to eat, I definatley don't want to see Liberty City again, boring characters and for the finaly a boring plot. I had a lot of hate after playing GTA IV towards the next GTA if it was ever going to be like IV again.

Completely disagree, and they are the most realistic cars ever put into a consumer entertainment simulation. There Are No More Realistic Cars In Games Than These. bluesboyjr
Long, repetitive and boring strings of Paramedic / Vigilante / Firefighter missions, unless done in the same manner as GTA CW, where they were varied, short and could be completed in bits. The weight and muscle system from GTA SA. Because eating and working out is barrels of fun! Liberty City, Vice City or San Andreas, within reason. I feel that New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco have been successfully parodied, and unless Rockstar can recreate the cities in a way that makes them uncompareable to the GTA III era versions, I won't be cheering. (Although there would be quite a bit of promise for a game with a GTA IV-sized map set in one of GTA SA's cities) Friends / girlfriends - at the very least make them optional, so I only have to go on "dates" when I want to, without them getting hissy. TV like GTA IV's. If you're gonna use up disc space with an element that doesn't add to gameplay, at least add more variety, and a lot more humour. IllnessGTA
- I don't want a really huge map with stupid ugly countryside. In San Andreas, it was really f**king annoying when I had to drive through a city to another and seriously, the area 51 thing and the desert was really stupid and it didn't feel like a crime game. - One man army bullcrap! It's stupid and unrealistic when you have to fight like over 50 criminals or cops in the same area. In real life, NO one would stand a chance. It would be better if you had to fight only ten people in one area or fight along with buddies. - Boring and repetitive missions (*cough* GTA IV) I really hate missions where you have to just drive to a house or some other clitche place then fight a stupid amount of bad guys then the mission is over or missions where all you f**king do is drive to a shop, do one "REALLY EXCITING!!" thing "Like send an email or buy some cloths!" and then mission complete! And when you have to keep doing the same freaking thing again and again it becomes ridiculous! Please, in GTA V, make them original, awesome and exciting! - The jetpack. It's stupid and it's pointless. - UNrealism! This is something GTA IV did well (even if they did some things stupidly realistic) but people complained about it! Saying "Omg, we wantz teh minigun or flamethrower and use teh planes and tanks on peoplz! Tis is soooo lame, omfg!" Well, omfg but you guys are idiots! I know GTA SA was fun except the stupid large map but the realism was horrible! The guns sounded stupid and nothing like the real guns, people would fall from the sky in the same position that they died from and the crashes were weird! GTA IV did it well but I think that we should keep the realism present from GTA TBOGT and a realistic story like GTA IV. - I'm half Brazilian and half Welsh but keep GTA V in America, nowhere else (if it's set in Paris or Ireland, someone's gonna die) - The gang wars in GTA SA pissed me off! We do not need any annoying 'random' gang wars in GTA V. Maybe gang wars that you could decide where ever you want to do it or not but it got annoying when the other gangs starting shooting at me! - Last one...overpowered, ridiculous, 'too' smart cops. Do I really have to say anything about this one? Okay, I will say this one unfair thing that the cops do; the cops must hate Niko/Johnny/Luis because when they chase after you, they never stop until they know that my character is gone. And if I lightly tap their car, they chase after me big time as if I just raped their asses in front of many people. BUT when a ped hits a police car, they don't care! And if a ped commits a crime, the cops slowly walk up to the suspect who is running like mad and they don't send cars after them! I think, only THINK, that in TBOGT, they fixed this because in that DLC, the cops would just shoot the suspect! EDIT: Since everyone is talking about gangs, I don't want to see 'pussy' gang members. I want to feel scared or at danger when I'm in gang territory but in IV, the only way a gang would fight you is if you start on them! BULLCRAP! GTASanAndreasbestever
Can anyone tell me why they didn't like the jet pack? Yo man, I'm so gangsta, I take jetpacks to fly sky high and escape cops! Yeah baby! The jetpack was useless, pointless, plain stupid, and where the heck have you seen a gangster in the 1990's take an unexisting jetpack and go around doing useless sh*t? you didn't, but GTA has never been realistic, and a game like this simply can't be, and shouldn't be.
