GTASanAndreasbestever
Just wondering, but is there any of you out there who think they will see something in the next GTA they will NOT like? Everybody is talking what they want to see in there, hoping to see in there, new things to see. But what about anything you think they may have screwed up in the past and might do so again because they haven't corrected it? Or maybe not a screw up, but something you just didn't like and they are bound to do again? Or maybe something new everbody else wants but you, and your afraid to see it? Kwandilibro
Fully customizable characters, a female protagonist, a fully mob based game, overpowering cops, a really small map, a really huge map that's annoying to travel through, or boring missions like IV. Algonquin Assassin
Ambulance, and Firefighting missions. I have a feeling these may come back, but I don't really want them too. They were always boring as hell in the past, and I don't think anything would change if they were brought back IMO. Some others... -Jetpacks. -Street gang storyline. -The gym. -Eating like in SA. -Fully customizable character. -Another character like Ryder. It's just some of the things I don't like were introduced in SA. Haha it seems like most of the people on this forum hate most of the things I liked about past GTA's. I loved San Andreas with the big map, and jet pack. What was wrong with the jet pack? But that is America, everybody thinks differently. I agree I don't want to see a female protagonist, didn't know that was an actual possibility?
Kwandilibro
@Miamivicecity, I don't like the idea of a fully street gang based storyline anyway. The storyline in SA started and ended as a street gang theme, but the bulk was not even close. Either way, GTA needs a vast mix, rather than this one criminal organization sh*t. But how the f*ck did you not like Ryder? He was funny as hell! As for eating and the gym, I found them kind of annoying, although if anything was annoying, it was the gang wars. f*cking Ballas attacking me every five seconds..... whyhellothere
I would hate to see An over-the-top experience like TBOGT or SA. At least, for the main story. It's fine for DLC. (I would love to have Parachutes though) Having to do challenges for outifts like in RDR Jetpacks A story set anytime before 2008 and most of all..... @&!$%!#&! LONDON!!! Ats.
Character customization like in Saints Row. (something like SA had) Too big map/too small map. sh*tty story and missions. Liberty City (or at least IV-era LC) IV era characters. (completely new era)
TheBlackProject
Fully customizable characters, a female protagonist, a fully mob based game, overpowering cops, a really small map, a really huge map that's annoying to travel through, or boring missions like IV. Are you sure IV had boring missions? Some of them were really good, like the car chase missions you had with Bernie, Roman, and all the Italian guys. They're fun, because they were realistic (in a good way) because they would react like a normal f*cking person and collide with other cars because "they got shocked" and stuff, they would get out of your way, you would do Jason-Bourne style driving through traffic intersections and you would see unusual scenes such as a firetruck on your way trying to avoid an explosion, it makes it like a movie car-chase scene and it's so awesome. I just wish you could do this in free-mode. Oh and to the other guy who says "REALIZM", not all realism is necessarily a bad thing. You know, such as people using their turn signal because people always ram into my beautiful Super Diamond or Bullet GT and it's due to their lack of turn signal use. Maybe, R* are making fun of Americans because they never really do use their turn signals for once, especially female drivers.
Mr. Scratch
Are you f*cking kidding me,you actually want goddamn turn signals,i got an ideea ,lets all hope R* makes a boring game like IV with no customization whatsoever just set in a dark Chicago like city with a extremely gritty story and atmosphere,or we can all go and put electric wires thru our dicks while taking a shower which is about as realistic and fun as IV was
AussieDude
Turn signals would be nice if it was done automatically. And whats wrong with Jet packs? The 2 missions in SA that you got to use them were pretty bad ass. and They are really fun to dick around in
Mr. Scratch
How much realism do you people want, aren't traffic paths, peds roaming the city, planes flying, criminals and police enough ? Look at Pong no one complained about it not being realistic back then ,i mean it's a game about a f*cking ping pong ball for crying out loud
angrywolfie
Although some people wouldnt like to see it, I think a fully customizable character would give people individuality. But seeing this is about things I would NOT like to see... Jetpacks non-realistic environment Vigilante missions through a police car(goes hand in hand with the non-realistic environment.) meaningless missions a fully gang/mob based storyline immigrant storyline a non-assertive character. a ton of explosive weapons bad mapping pointless mini-missions(I would only like ones that would have something to do with the storyline, or after the storyline is finished. you can read my idea about it here http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=455458 ) and useless partners(if someone is gonna go along with you on a mission, they better help out rather than stand around playing with themselves.) Anasterian
I dont want to see anti-realism guys going like "NO REALISM ITS A GAME" (another post) "NO REALISM ITS A GAME FFS" (another post) "NO REALISM FFS OMG REALISM SUCKS" (another post) "BUT REALISM RLY SUX" .... ONtopic: Eating like in SA, character customization of SA with driving skills and all that. GTA 4 has enough realism, DONT remove it. I dont want to see XBOX 360 exclusive DLC again. SilentSeas
Heres what I don't want to see: - A standalone Los Santos setting - The return of any III era characters - Jetpacks - Heavy customization - A Protagonist whose a total tw*t
Radius95
I don't want to see: - The Ghetto Gangster scene/storyline - too small map - heads falling of pedestrians while shooting at there shoulder ( like in III) - low customization - Liberty City, San andreas. - anything Asiatic(like china or japan), or American. I want to see: -London -MORE Car/Player Customization. -A good storyline -A characteristic headcharacter (maybe customizable) -Nice safehouses. And don't tell me IV was realistic because it wasn't. IMO, the rest of the GTA games where fun. GTA IV was okay, it wasn't as fun as i thought it would be. After i beat all the missions and side missions, i was bored out of my mind with nothing to do in the game except drive around. I don't understand why R* didn't put for example the fun cheats. D- Ice
Nice topic bro - a welcome change from the usual gratuitously repetitive crap. I am willing to bet the next setting will likely be Vice City. R* games is a successful and intelligent game company, and it is almost certain they at least have some peeks into forums like these. And what seems to be a majorly populist overtone is that it gets set in Vice City - or at least something based on the sunny, colourful and tourist pop-culture Miami. That is perhaps the most thing I am fearing right about now. However, a glimer of hope is that in the past R* Games have consistently surprised us with the settings of GTA - well with the case of IV at least. Back then I remember the populist call-out was for setting it in London. Another thing that I hate and they never amended in IV is the whole RPG Sim-like element that seems to be extremely popular with the pathetically geeky teen masses with no life outside their game consoles of PCs. The GF/hanging out with friends minigames. If anything, I am predicting they are even gonna expand greatly on that sh*t. I'm not gonna blow my own trumpet here (or however that saying goes), but I'm no Mr. Cool myself - my entire presence here is testament to that. But even I manage to actually go bowling with real friends and attempting getting girls and generally getting on with my life. And because of that, I don't have time, nor want to spend the effort doing the whole same sh*t again in the few hours I have every week to play on my Xbox. And finally, I dislike the whole "one-man army" sh*t. That is now just so cliched after all the films in the 1990's and later the video games this decade. I understand GTA is not exactly 100% realistic, but killing 40-odd gunmen Bulgarin hired to defend a $3 million diamond deal? Surely that just takesthe piss - hiring half the men - infact just buying the heavy armaments that half have - will cost more than the actual diamonds. Yes, there should be room for that kinda thing, but at least have some anchorage into real criminality. There are already thousands of games where you do the exact same one-man-army sh*t against all sorts of foes - from military opponents in CoD to gangsters in Saint's Row. For f*ck;s sakes give us something different!
WF the Hobgoblin
Multiple cities ( Unless they manage to cram the same amount of detail in each city as IV's LC ) A non-american city setting. Female protagonist Los Santos with another black gangsta protagonist. ( I don't have anything against black protagonists and I'd love for LS to be redone, but I don't want another Boyz n the hood Santos. The Lolwut Pear
Can anyone tell me why they didn't like the jet pack? Yo man, I'm so gangsta, I take jetpacks to fly sky high and escape cops! Yeah baby! The jetpack was useless, pointless, plain stupid, and where the heck have you seen a gangster in the 1990's take an unexisting jetpack and go around doing useless sh*t?
