How do you sleep?

Well, do you sleep pretty fast and vast or do you sleep not very fast? And when you lay in bed, what goes through your mind?

I always think about the day or what to do tomorrow. For some reason though it at least takes me one hour to go through sleep, even when I don't feel stressed or anything. I also can't sleep in a car, train or plane for some reason. I can close my eyes but I simply can not get to sleep lol.

If you are still awake, well how do you sleep?

I fall asleep watching TV or movies. Never really slept well without them alone. If alone, I tend to sleep on my side and stomach. When I sleep with someone, I tend to pass out playing the bigspoon role.

When I am sleeping, I am out. I have slept through firing line training of M1 Abrams tanks.

I have insomnia pretty badly, so generally I smoke some weed then do hypnosis stuff on my iPod.

I lie awake all night, staring at the dark ceiling trying to stop the events of that night 7 years ago from replaying over and over again in my head.

Jokes, I actually sleep pretty well for 8 or 9 hours most nights, after going to sleep watching tv for half an hour to an hour.

I hate the thought of going to sleep every night. I usually toss and turn, and try to generally avoid my girlfriend because she emits heat like a furnace. When I do get to sleep, I usually end up on my left side, or stomach. I used to hate sleeping in a bed that wasn't pushed up against a wall, which is pretty weird. confused.gif

a usually read cynaide and happiness comics for 10-15 minutes and that usually makes me more sleepy so i can just close my eyes and ill be asleep in a few minutes. otherwise i think about a bunch of random sh*t and it can take a half hour to fall asleep. And when i am asleep, i can wake up pretty easy. my phone vibration can wake me up.

I sleep on the floor in my room because I can't sleep on beds, I rest my head on a pile of blankets which is comfy. I usually just turn everything off and close my eyes while thinking of the day or tomorrow or whats going on in the world. Sometimes I mentally play music in my head. I also get into a Voice chat on my ps3 and fall asleep while I'm laying down. Thank god I have it set to 1 hour automatic shutdown. Which helps because I mostly fall asleep in chat.

Deep sleep, and never on my front. I also like a fan or rain or wind or some white noise that blocks people boiling water or walking around while Im still asleep. Any light or noise and I wake up really easily.

When I was working all day, even 'mental' rather than physical work, it took me about 20 minutes to fall asleep, now I'm unemployed and use very little energy through the day, so it generally takes about 30 minutes to an hour. I don't understand this sleeping on your stomach thing either, it either smothers me or f*cks my neck up, so I'm always on my back or sides.

If someone comes into the room I'll wake up within a few seconds. Phone ringtones and the radio wake me up, short message tones don't. Oh, and I can't fall asleep in the same bed as a girlfriend/randomer I picked up if we're spooning or whatever, I need my own space.

I sleep on my stomach or side never my back as Ive been told I snore. Once I had sleep paralysis for a few seconds and heard myself snoring then woke up laughing as it was hilarious. biggrin.gif

I leave you with my quote:

Sleep is the best part of the day because you are temporarily dead and dont have to suffer this monotonous existence.

Mister Pink

Spoons with my girlfriend. If I'm on my own which is rare, I'll go on-line and stay up longer til I fall asleep. I wake easy in the morning. The summer early sun has me waking earlier and its harder to sleep in.

I also like having my bed against a wall. It's a bit odd when it's just as an almost island in the bedroom. Think it's just a mild comfort and protecting feeling.

True mine is against a wall and it does feel safer.

Until you wake up one morning with a large spider in front your face which happened to me once. nervous.gif

It takes me like 10 minutes to go to sleep. Mostly because i only go to my bed if i'm drop dead tired.

I can sleep through anything, to an extent cool.gif

TV? yeah i prefer tv when sleeping/going to sleep, but it really is a distraction and I have to turn it off some nights.

My sleep schedule? it's f**ked up man. I wake at like 11 am now, but next week I could have my hours to where i wake up at 2 in the f***ing morning. sh*t's all messed up.

With any luck i'll have my sleep issues resolved by august 20 when I start college. cool.gif

Believe it or not I have actually been giving this thought over the past few weeks.

During my adolescence and teen years I had hardcore insomnia. I wouldn't really call it insomnia so much as I would call it a young kid thinking too much. I just could never turn my head off it seemed. I started listening to talk radio at night to put me to sleep. That didn't last too long - I ended up totally getting into the talk radio I was listening to. I even got to use that line 'long time listener - first time caller' line when I called in for my first time biggrin.gif

As I aged a bit I started using bed time to go over things in my head that I wanted to go over. Not like those thoughts I had as a younger person keeping me up. No more was I being tormented by thoughts like 'does she like me?'. I was actually using the time wisely. And since they weren't tormenting thoughts I could easy fall asleep after my thinking session.

Now I go to bed and I fall right to sleep. Its like instant. There are times when I want to use bed time to work out important things, but no matter how hard I try, I just fall asleep. It's the waking up part that now sucks ass.

I've gotten into a really bad habit of having to leave the TV on for me to be able to eventually fall asleep, good thing the TV has a sleep timer on it that I always set to around 60-90 minutes. I can't sleep in complete darkness unless I know I'm not going to need to TV to get me to sleep. The dark freaks me out when I'm trying to nod off, so I usually leave the TV on for the light or if I'm feeling sleepy enough already I just leave my alarm next to my bed which shoots out some blue light. Usually have to cover that though if I'm using the TV.

Claude Speed.
I just get in the bed and think my way to sleep. I think about tomorrow or what I'd like to do in the future or some other random bullsh*t.

The only thing I require is a fan and I'm good. I don't like it to be silent in the room; I need that background noise.

As for me, I'm a heavy sleeper and can sleep through pretty much anything. Our neighbors in the basement scream and yell all the time (recently married) and I have yet to have them wake me up during one of their arguments. My roommate on the other hand always gets woken up by them.

It's pretty interesting that some also don't sleep immediatly and everyone has a diffirent sleep pattern.

Deep sleep, and never on my front. I also like a fan or rain or wind or some white noise that blocks people boiling water or walking around while Im still asleep. Any light or noise and I wake up really easily.

Lol yeah same for me, I know exactly what you're talking about smile.gif

Same. At least one hour to two hours. Even when I'm really tired. Sometimes I'm kinda like scared or something, like wondering where you are going when you sleep. You might die in your sleep and stuff like that wow.gif Luckily normally that doesn't go through my mind though smile.gif

I don't sleep, I wait. I wait for breakfast.

And what if you are having breakfast? Can't you sleep while eating breakfast? rolleyes.gif

The Sound of Milli Vanilli?!

I usually just think about how awesome it really feels to lay in bed and just relax. Then i think about how to customize different cars and how i would do it if bought a certain car and how i would renovate it. Puts me in euphoric state (Yeah i know, I'm possessed tounge.gif)

Also think about different girls and things I've done during the day and analyze different situations and things people have said to me to analyze if theirs some hiding meaning in it or if there's maybe something going on that i haven't realized. Hard to explain really.

I also sleep easier if i can hear other people around me.
