gta-racer
I formatted my pc a few days ago and now I can't play GTA IV multiplayer anymore. I reinstalled the game with patch 1.0.7.0 and when I try to go online with Games For Windows Live, I got a message that tell me "You exceeded usage allowed by your product key". I purchased an original copy of GTA IV in 2008 and I've never had any problem. Usually I format my pc every 4 or 5 months because Windows become slow, and I can't believe that a game I regularly purchased spending €50 doesn't let me play. I already contacted Microsoft and they told me to contact the game producer. I contacted Rockstar Games writing on the form here: http://support.rockstargames.com/templates...2/seo/emailPage, even sending a photo of my game packaging with the manual showing the product key as a proof of purchase. I got no reply after 4 days. I just want to play again multiplayer, and I'm entitled to do that as I purchased the game. This is a fraud. I purchased the game, not rented. Next time, write this in the game packaging: "THIS GAME DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU, YOU CAN ONLY RENT IT, AFTER 5 INSTALLATIONS YOU HAVE TO BUY IT AGAIN". Should I call a lawyer? I accept any suggestion. Thanks.
mkey82
Yeah, call a lawyer Or just avoid GFWL titles in the future. The GFWL installation number is limited to 10 or 15. If you install too many times, you can't login to GFWL anymore. And since it doesn't have a revoke license option as Securom does you're screwed.
