Whoever said it looked like "Howell" I think is on the right track. There's a community nearby named Pinkney (pink outline?) as well.....both of which are about 30 miles northwest of Detroit, Michigan. I think it's either a "Welcome To..." or rest area sign too.

To me, the A in "Hawaii" looks more like an O. It might just be the way i'm seeing but i just though i'd point it out. It's most likely an A though.

 

I think we are still in Hawaii because the last picture was there, and we heven't had anything to suggest that we have left.

There's no chance that sign says Honolulu. That thing betwen the a/o and the a/o/e is definentally a w.

 

 

So it's either Hawaii, or Howell, which we now belive, because the second letter looks more like an o (Howell) than an a (Hawaii)

i resized the pic using microsoft publication and it clearly spells out: honul...couldn't see the rest of the wording, but u can assume it's honululu.... or maybe i'm wrong but how would they go from hawaii to howell so quick???

Yeah i checked that a bit. But not much at all. If you want to check you can try. 94 doesn't run very close to Howell, but then again, not horribly far away from it either... So the sign Could be along 94, wherever you'd make a turn in towards Howell.

It does not look the slightest bit Cursive.

 

And those who are saying "We just had Hawaii so this picture MUST be Hawaii and will mever be in Michigan blah blah blah..." need to realize that we jumped from the midwest to Europe, and eventually got to Hawaii. Whoever is creating these images probably used "Howell" (or whatever it says) to stump us even further, considering it looks like "Hawaii" and that's where we were last.

This bit gave me an idea. One of the cities listed in that poll is Atlanta, Georgia and when I do a search for "Howell" in google maps, only a few choices show up. There's Howell, Michigan, Howell, NJ (we just came from NJ in GTA IV), but there's also Howell Mills Rd. in Atlanta which has many signs along it that have the word "Howell" on it. Also, there's a road coming off of Atlanta International Airport called "Clark Howell Hwy". So maybe what we think is the arm of a "y" is actually the arm of a "k".
