I highly doubt we'll be seeing a gay protagonist any time soon. Too many homophobes out there. Besides the story wouldn't make a whole lot of sense.

 

About GTAV.net, there's not a doubt in my mind it has something to do with some leaked info from R* to the admins, and they're playing with us to get us hyped.

Frankly, I just think that putting an emphasis on the protagonists sexual orientation is completley unecessary. Sure, in GTA IV all 3 major characters were expressed as heterosexual, but (aside from Luis Lopez) it was really downplayed and played a very small part in the actual scheme of things. Having the main character discuss his sexuality just wouldn't fit, and would possibly detract from the story.

 

Also, I'm a little uncomfortable with the idea of going to gigolo's for sex
