For the curious, here is what each choice affects:

 

 

1. Killing Ivan will do nothing but you'll get a slightly different dialogue from Vlad, while sparing him will unlock an extra random encounter from him.

 

2. Killing Cherise will do nothing but you'll get a different dialogue from Dwayne, while killing her will unlock and extra random encounter from her.

 

3. Killing Dwayne will grand you $25,000 while killing Playboy X will grant you a new safehouse, a new outfit, and Dwayne as your friend with his special ability being that he'll provide you with backup anytime you need it.

 

4. Killing Clarence will do nothing, but sparing him will unlock an extra random encounter from him.

 

5. & 6. Killing or sparing him doesn't affect anything.

 

7. Killing Francis will do nothing other than make the mission "Undertaker" a bit different and easier, but killing Derrick can grant you $10,000 or $20,000 if you negotiate with Francis, or ability to remove your wanted level at any time.

 

8. Only difference between killing and sparing Darko is the dialogue in the rest of the mission.

 

9. Find that out for yourself.

 

10. Killing Brian will result in a different dialogue from Jim, but sparing him will unlock an extra random encounter from him.

I hate how you can only execute people with the pistol... lame, it should be any weapon.

 

Anyway, I always killed them.

 

I killed playboy X.

I killed Francis, we need less pigs anyway.

Anyways:

 

Killed Ivan first playthrough, spared second, killed by accident third.

 

Spared Cherise first playthrough, killed second, spared third.

 

Killed Playboy, Killed Playboy, Killed Playboy

 

Killed Clarence with a sniper first, ran all the way to him to kill him second, and killed him as he ran away on his Patriot third.

 

I didn't even know you could spare him so I killed him every time.

 

Killed Jewish guy first( I ran 2 flights of stairs filled with goons to kill you, I'm not gonna stop now), killed second, killed third.

 

I killed Derrick first (20.000 dollars FTW), spared him second, and spared him third.

 

Spared Darko fisrt, Killed him second and third.

 

Revenge ending everytime.

If I had a dollar for every time people made a "who did you kill" thread, I wouldn't have to work a day in my life.

 

1.Ivan: Spared

2. Cherise: Spared

3. Playbox X or Dwayne: Playboy X. I killed Dwayne the first time and was informed afterwards of how stupid that was. Whoops.

4. Clarence: Killed and Spared on different playthroughs.

5) Adam Dimayev's last goon: No idea, I don't recall this.

6) Jewish Diamond Dealer: Killed him every time I think.

7) Francis or Derrick: Francis. His him and Derrick were trash but at least Derrick's heart was in the right place. Francis was corrupted.

8) Darko: Killed him the first time even though I went into it not wanting to. Second time, spared him with much difficulty but I wanted to see the outcome.

9) Dimitri: Always Revenge. I never much liked Kate, I hate Dimitri, and I can't stand Roman dying and leaving Mallory pregnant and widowed on their wedding day.

In my previous playthrough of GTA IV here is the decisions I made:

1) I spared Ivan.

2) I spared Cherise.

3) I killed Playboy X.

4) I killed Clarence (but not with an execution, I shot him when he was running for his car).

5) I killed the last goon (he was in the way of me getting to Dimayev).

6) Because I was very low on health I chucked a grenade into the kitchen killing the diamond dealer and 5 other goons.

7) I killed Francis (never liked the guy, the dirty cop).

8) I spared Darko (though once I think he got hit by that plane on the runway ).

9) Always Revenge, I can't take Roman dying, I cried when he died when I chose Deal.

In my opinion Rockstar did a very poor job in giving the player incentive enough to actually kill Dwayne. I mean $25,000 is utterly WORTHLESS as there is nothing to buy anyway. To actually give the player a moral dilemma would be to have Dwayne being the asshole and Playboy being likable and having to choose between killing an asshole but getting nothing or killing a nice guy but getting an awesome safehouse.

 

Francis and Derrek is a better dilemma as Francis is the asshole but actually gives you something useful- the ability to remove ANY wanted level until the end of the story. As it is I think Francis is too much of an asshole to spare and Derrek elicits too much sympathy for the player to ever WANT to kill him, but at least there is a decent incentive there should anybody think twice about saving what is essentially a waster drug addict.

Like someone previously stated Derrick is a useless druggie while I understand too well trying to make it into a career and maybe facing losing it because of a simple mistake-Francis is an ass but Derrick is a drugged up whiner and can someone please tell me WHY WE HAD TO KILL AIDAIN O'Malley??? jeez i always wanted to spare that guy as he did nothing wrong all he did was talk and we had to break him out of jail to kill him? Derrick couldn't even do it? WASTE!

I killed Playboy X. Since I knew that I will get the nice appartment and the special GTA 3 outfit!

Clarence = Killed. (That was the mission!! I didn't knew I had the option!)

Adam or last Russian = Killed. (also, Didn't knew I had the option!! I must pay attantion )

Diamond dealer = Killed. (Once again, Didn't knew I could Spare him!!!!)

First play through, I killed everybody. The second time I played it, I let everybody live because it unlocks extra missions and cutscenes. I killed Playboy X both times, though - he was a douchebag and you inherit his penthouse. I did the Deal the first time around and Revenge the next time.
