Lithium
Which Bond movies tickle your fancy? Since we were being rudely interrupted with our Bond discussion in the Top 10 Movie thread. I would have to say my two favorite Bond movies are Goldeneye and The World is Not Enough. It is not because Pierce Brosnan is my favorite Bond, but because of the plot of the movies. Renard and 006 (Alec Trevelyan) are some pretty good villains! What are your thoughts? Go ahead Otter, post!

Goldfinger is the favorite of those. Edited July 28, 2010 by kevin2006rhs

Ottae
Cause I moved it leik. Anyway: I love Goldeneye and Goldfinger, they're probably my favourites. I think Daniel Craig is an excellent Bond and I've thoroughly enjoyed his 2 outings (Royale more than Solace). Didn't really rate Roger Moore much as bond. He made the role his own, no doubt about that, but I thought he was a little too cheesy to be a secret agent. Thought Dalton should have done more films. I didn't like Lazenby too much, but I did enjoy the plot and events of OHMSS.

makeshyft
I dislike all the Brosnan ones, think Dalton is underrated, like the understated nature of Lazenby but also think it makes him boring, love Moore, ditto Connery but for different reasons, not sold on Craig's shaky-cam Bond and will elaborate when I'm not all snug in my bed trying to type on my phone. Xo4
as for Bonds, I love Connery and Dalton but very much dislike Moore. Craig was off to a good start but Quantum was a solid letdown. Brosnan was great as Bond sadly his last movie just plainly sucked. I believe Lazenby was actually really good. Favorite Films Goldeneye, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Casino Royale. The-King
I love Brosnan because of Goldeneye, which is both my favorite (Bond) movie of all time as well as one of my top ten games. I can't stand Craig, as much as I like the realistic approach, something about him just seriously irks me. Will always have a place in my heart for Connery though. Otter
Craig just isn't handsome enough. Or rather, dashing. I'm still a bit sore over the "reboot" concept because, as far as I can tell, they didn't change much beyond what has been changed in the past. Bond has become a timeless hero - we didn't need to re-meet him. But that's a different argument, I guess. It's in no way more "realistic" than the majority of the Bond films... perhaps moreso than the couple that preceded it. I loved Casino Royal; one of my top favorites. Then they went and cocked it all up by remaking License to Kill and calling it Quantum of Solace. Ugh. I love so many of the Bond films. Notably, (and just off the top of my head) - Goldeneye - From Russia with Love - Goldfinger - Octopussy - Casino Royale
trip
I have a near complete Bond collection on dvd. I totally can't pick a favorite. I might go with 'The Man With the Golden Gun' only because it has Hervé Villechaize. Honestly, almost all of the Roger Moore ones are my favorites. It might have something to do with the silly humor he brought to the Bond character. Icarus
It's hard for me to pick an overall favourite Bond movie, because a lot of them were quite good. If I had to pick though, it would be a tossup between Goldeneye or Live and Let Die. The worst Bond movie, in my opinion, was Die Another Day. As I pointed out in the other topic, they relied way too heavily on CGI and the plot was just outright bizarre. Moonraker was also a bit too odd with going into space and having laser battles. To date, I believe all the Bond actors have done a good job (some better than others, mind you). It was really hard to tell with Lazenby because he only did one film and with that, I was not the biggest fan of On Her Majesty's Secret Service because a good chunk of the film took place on the Alps, so it was not the most intriguing although a sad ending, for sure. It's also a shame Timothy Dalton didn't do more films. I really liked him in The Living Daylights. I always laugh at the part when they're being chased down by the Czechoslovakian VB and end up riding the cello case across the border into Austria. It just looks funny. Rockworm
best IMHO is Casino Royal. I didn't like Quantum that much but I think Daniel Craig is awesome. also think Tomorrow never dies is great. and of course Goldfinger is a classic. the worst I agree is Die Another Day. Just stupid. Don Garcia
Craig just isn't handsome enough. Or rather, dashing. Is so! Shame about Quantum of Solace, but Casino Royale was f*cking amazing. Such a delightful change from the Brosnan films. I personally can't f*cking stand Pierce; hated him as Bond. But Craig is all kinds of likable, and makes for a studly bruiser who can actually emote. I like Bond minus 90% of the toys, I really do.

Darrel
Moore, Connery, Brosan are the best James Bonds. Dalton is really underrated too. I do hope Craig comes back for the next one. Who Else could Play bond, hmm? There was a rumour about that Sam Worthington from Avatar for the role of bond. I was literally sick in disgust. Bond is one of my favourite franchises, and if he got the part i would never even watch any of the movies along as he's Bond.
Icarus
I do hope Craig comes back for the next one. Craig is signed up to play in Bond 23, but the filming has been put off indefinitely due to MGM's financial troubles at the moment. So we might have to wait a while for the next Bond film (Bond 23 was supposed to be due out sometime next year, but that doesn't seem quite likely now). Fnorg
Does anybody else feel Max Zorin was just a bit... Misunderstood? I mean, come on, he was supposed to be a Nazi superbaby for crying out loud. No wonder he got messed up when they did all sorts of experiments on his mother. There's no excuse for him being a murderous psychopath, but he can't really help it. He's definitely one of the more sympathetic villains. Love Christopher Walken's portrayal of him, he makes Zorin one of my favorite villians - right up there with Goldfinger, Oddjob and Blofeld. Oh, and Scaramanga's midget. Or dwarf. Whatever the PC word for short people is.
