Hell, I know that. My mom is blacker than me. She despises gangs, hip hop, and most of what the black culture has come to over the last 20-25 years. She also despises the mafia, and criminals in general, but she hates street gangs the most. Nothing to do with race, she just hates most if not all of what they're about. But these people in this thread, the same can't be said. If you honestly think street gangs are a number one threat to society, you should really consider castration. And if you honestly think all black street gangs are the same, you need to check again, because you're wrong. And gangsters aren't nice people? Street gangs are shameless, they show no respect, remorse, and are absolutely apathetic. If something doesn't relate to them and doesn't involve making money or making a name for themselves (killing/maiming people/each other) then they don't care about it. All they do is waste police and public resources, arresting them and keeping them in prison costs an ungodly amount of money. Not to mention the fact that they don't give anything back to the public except corpses, raised taxes and shameless violence. Mafioso take advantage of a political situation and work with it to stay under the radar. As far as I'm concerned its just a game and its a game based on real-life gangs and organized crime - there is no real reason to get too deep into criticizing gangs of a particular race or ethnic group, after all its just a video game. I'm actually the one telling all the rest to leave race and ethnicity out of this. Like I said before, gangs are gangs, they are all essentially the same in terms of concept, principle and purpose. It dont matter whether they are street gangs or Mafiosi, they all work in groups to kill, steal, rob, cheat, extort, sell drugs, make huge amounts of money and make people fear them. I simply dont see what makes one much more worse than the other. A real fan of GTA games would not be concerned with largely irrelevant issues like the race or ethnicity of the main character or other characters and gangs within the games. As long as a GTA game is turns out be excellent, of high technical quality, really interesting, fun and enjoyable to play, then thats all that SHOULD matter. But no, you ajrunke and others like you just have to start silly talk about, " those gangs of a certain race are dumb" or "that gang belonging to a certain race shouldnt be in the game". Also, Heroin doesn't make you a street gang member. Terrorists are technically in a different class considering they have more knowledge in the advancement of technology. Street gang members on the other hand don't know sh*t. That, and the fact that terrorists bomb people...... @GritEngine, I noticed you said selling drugs doesn't pay. It seemed to pay quite the bit for this guy. Just saying...... Let's just say I would never leave him alone around childtren, valuable possessions, probably would never invite him into my home, and I sure as hell wouldn't do business with him. It might work for some, but for the staggering majority, you just end up alienated. That guy looks pretty afflicted. "see it in his eyes" kind of way. I see pain in his eyes. He does not like his life or what he did with his life, and probably didn't have much of a choice. Either way, real bangers dream of the day no one does any bangin anymore. Only the low and the foot soldiers like what they do. And they ain't seeing Carnegie Hall any time soon. edit: And he needs somebody to tighten up them braids, they are looking scratchy.
