and my plan just make similar to Clint Eastwood,so this character gonna be a new guy

 

talk about John Marston,it good to replace him as a secret haircut ,player have to do something like find hidden package,done mission,...(or using CLEO script to change it )

Suggestion, it could have a player selection thing if there's not going to be rdr story missions then multiple characters would be quite cool.

First we need a land to begin with (starting area) and a story before we can start scripting.

It's even better to have a story before starting to model, this way you can base the map on the story wich also helps with thinking about what go's where

don't joking,we starting some serious bussines here

this is a new character,he similar to Clint Eastwood doesn't mean he is Clint Eastwood,so he is a new person

so the first name i think is Jack(similar to Jack Marston),is just a farm boy when he is a kid,have a parent,he don't have a happy life like another people,everytime he just keep working all day. Jack have 2 brother, 1 has been dead because accident, 1 is still alive and have his own gang,he is a bad person(name is Harry,maybe),and Jack is not really a violence type.

In the age of 19, Harry left home with his own gang, but Jack's family life getting better and better, Jack's father found the gold mine with his friend and just family know he spot the gold.

Family is getting better,expect for Harry,he want to get money from family but they won't accept because they know Harry will use it for no good.

One day, some member from Harry gang come to Jack's family, kill his mother in front of his eyes, interrogate his father where is the gold mine,his father won't telling sh*t so he has been killed,Jack can't do nothing than runaway.

Jack turn himself into a homeless guy,living in another country, he starting to get a job,learn how to be a real man,...

4 year later,Jack is 24, he come back home, looking for a clue of his father gold mine, and for his evil brother. He will start looking for help by friends,the law,gang,...,but troubles happen to him,he is on the tail with a lot of criminal gang,because they're think Jack is a only guy know where is the gold mine. He found a lot of the interest thing in his adventure,this is where a new life begin.

 

in this mod,player will start at the time Jack come back home,he is still a pussy(weak,not good with gun,...),you will have to start practice to getting stronger,become the legend of the West

If you guys want to make a poll about the player, you should give screen about the John Marston or Clint Eastwood

And Mine is :

Legs Poly : 1942

Clothes Poly : 960

Still need more improvement, and couse i didnt have much reference about John Marston (Never played RDR). And the textures are f*cked up, im not good at texturing.

So if you have a great texture, please send it to me. And the polys, is it to high?

but that cloth is too clean,look like a modern cowboy style,some texture will make it cool,the vest is a bit buggy i think

btw... i would recommend you guys that when doing a total conversion of this damn size, i recommend this way

 

1-Map, with all details like 2DFX, particles and attached objects, dynamics,breakables and movable objects(by animation)

2-Props, every little thing on map that can be cloned the hell ouy like barrels of TNT, broken Cars, dead horses, trees,rocks...etc

3-For this step you should let open holes on buildings with interiors on step 1 since step 3 is to make every "GAME" interiors(dynamicly)

4-If you have a really nice guy with paths, then he does paths for peds(me, i can xD) since you wont see cars in OLD west

5-Check out everything and add side scripts, for example if you kill someone you get bounty and stuff that really dont matter

6-Finally Missions, coding every place, every shootout anything related to missions

 

And finally release

I always been doing this way and is an awsome way never fails to meh

but almost member in team is busy(me too),high school,girlfriend,jobs n' sh*t,.... But don't worry because the team is still work in this mod,if it can't get far so we gonna just build a map only,with some ped,vehicle and weapon stuff,...

for now this mod just in zombie status(half dead half alive )

I think 6 before 5 is better because the side scripts are easier to make than whole missions, 'Checking everything out' would definately be 6 though 'cos thats testing/fixing.
