I'm still struggling between NHL 11 and this, and despite thinking NHL had more changes, people keepe on telling me to get FIFA. The career mode has been completely revamped and the passing system has been tweaked in an effort to get rid of "ping pong" passing. Best of all you can also add your own music to the soundtrack as well as adding chants, entrance and goal music. They're the main differences, there supposedly more realistic player personalities but I've not noticed much of a difference. Particularly in the big players like Carew and Heskey (them guys are like walls) and dribbling seems to be more responsive in the dribbling masters like Messi and Giggs. Quadropheniac90 Posted October 5, 2010 Share Posted October 5, 2010 I'm getting more and more annoyed by this game... Why? Because I seem to suck at it. FIFA 10 was easy, but here I lose or draw most games, and if I win it's from a corner or a lucky cross. What's more annoying is that good teams are just as good as bad teams. I'm playing as Ajax in Career mode with a VP (though controlling all squad) and lost 3-2 to Roda JC and had a draw in a match with AZ 1-1. Furthermore it seems to take your opponent 1 chance to score a goal, even on Professional difficulty (I lowered it because Legendary was hard). And it takes me 10 chances to score a damn goal. The result here, is that I get more impatient, and therefor make way more mistakes because a tiny passing error leads to the opponent standing in front of my goal. So my biggest problem with the game is that any opposing team seems like f*cking Barcelona, and that the change in difficulty level (to me) aren't apparant. Maybe I should just try and be more patient in my play though, I noticed that after my opponent scored I immediately score afterwards. It's still a good game though, wouldn't say it sucks because I suck, that'd be silly. I have yet to try teams like Barcelona or Chelsea or whatever, haven't played with any 5-star team yet. Might get it today as I wasn't planning on playing Mafia II again at least until Christmas/Winter where part of the game takes place. Glad to see so many positive comments on the game. arsenal_fan Posted October 5, 2010 Share Posted October 5, 2010 I've just returned the game from renting it and all I can say is, I'm defintley buying the game tommorow. I was going to rent both PES 2011 and Fifa 11, but I've been so impressed by the game that I really can't see how PES wil be better. One question, I've heard the new patch makes the game quicker, is this true? Cause I will be really dissapointed if it is as I'm enjoying the games pace right now but its already set on slow, any quicker and it would seem a huge shame. Such as when Arshavin is running with the ball with two defenders blocking his way so he just does a Marseilles turn into both of them Also my Arsenal team mates NEVER shoot. I had abit of a random happening when i was a Player/manager of Sheffield Wednesday, for some reason i was sacked even though i was sitting in a play off spot, playing on Legendary. When i was sacked i was offered a job at Plymouth so i took the job, but i couldn't find my Virtual Pro anywhere? I checked to see if he stayed at Wednesday (but seeing as im player/manager that wouldn't make sense) He wasn't in my new plymouth side either. In the end i started a new career mode, because my game kept freezing on the 'Advancing Date calender' page. Now player manager of Walsall. I think the reason why I haven't really noticed it is because I've played as Blackpool most of the time. And as we don't have any big players, they've not really bothered as much. Every time I go online, it asks me for an Online Pass which I ALREADY download with the code in the back of the manual, but it says it's corrupted and I have to re-download it. I finally improved my play and won the last 4 or 5 matches, while steadily improving my Virtual Pro along the way. Still Ajax decided to fire me as their manager (I'm Player Manager) and I decided to manage AZ now. Now I can't find my VP anywhere, I searched on last name in the transfer screen, and he's not in AZ's reserves. WTF? I want to keep on improving my VP. Anyone know what's up? I found a way to download a lot of Villa chants, using a program that records all internal sounds. It's pretty good, found a few well suited chants on youtube aswell. I tested them out in game and I can barely hear them most of the time. I read somewhere that using Audacity to increase the volume may work well. I want to be able to make out the chants, not just a slight murmur in the background that adds to the atmosphere but cannot be understood. I'm enjoying the game though. Had my first two matches online yesterday and won both quite comfortably (2-0, 4-1). If anyone wants a few chants let me know, when I've got time I'll find a few more. I gotta say though, fifa would have to be one of the most stressful games over the years. Brings out a competitive side, especially when you verse your mates. Apparently I'm better at online than playing against the AI defenders in this game Rage quitting annoys me too, someone quit on me when I scored after 4 minutes yesterday It also annoys me that EA have failed to deal with the problem, all they've got to do is make sure the person who quits still gets the point deduction and the player left gets the points for winning, its the simple.
