Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 (edited) On the Facebook quiz 'Which Character Are You' made by Rockstar, Claude is named Claude Speed, when clearly the artwork and description matches the ones of Claude from GTA III. Also, the description says the Claude is 'a man of a few words' which means a man that speaks concisely, that uses few words suggesting that he may not be mute after all! I think R* messed everything up. In GTA 2 movie or game intro we are seeing present NYC. In game we have got futuristic city. The guy in the movie is named Claude Speed, but we can type every name in the game. The guy from the movie is looking different than guy from the game. GTA 2 movie fits more to the GTA III than to GTA 2. Claude from GTA III is looking similar to the guy from the intro and he lives in the same time(present NYC and present LC). And in the movie he was shot in the back but that doesn't mean he is dead. Also, can anybody find\make a distinguishable capture of the moment in the GTA 2 movie where info is shown about Claude on the Zaibatsu computer monitor? I think I get it now, the small film takes place after GTA III showing Claude resuming his life of crime, and one of his crimes is stealing some merch out of a Z van which led the Z men to him, so they shot him, but maybe it was traquilizer rounds because they froze him into 2013, so no he isn't dead. Maybe R* just reused the protagonist from GTA 2, just like they reused El Burro in GTA III. Where do you get this information about freezing? What's the point? There's not enough to disprove it (except for continuity errors), but there are things that point to it being true (that 2 Claude and 3 Claude are the same). Similarities- -Clothes look similar from a top view (black shirt, greenish pants). -Both are named Claude. Claude isn't really that common of a name. Combined with the fact that they have similar clothes. Differences- Apparently Claude would be "old" by the time GTA 2 takes place (apparently 12 years).
