In order:

-guib (I will do it.)

-Secronom President (I want AznKei to do it. If you could rate it as one mission, it would be perfect. If not, if you rate it as three, it will be ok too.)

General Scrotum

Hi,

Today, I will review two missions made by guib. They are parts of the George's Story mission pack. Here's the thread where you can find the links to download these missions: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=476485

Now, the show must go on,

- Writing: Excellent. While the dialogues are alright, there are a few a few errors. Still, they don't mess the missions to the point of the player not understanding a single thing of them.

- Presentation: Very Good. While the cutscenes are generally good and accurate, there are some in which the actors appear then disappear or vice-versa. Yet, it doesn't mess the missions that much to say it's bad.

Leaving the Past

- Length: Good. As it can be done in five minutes, the players plays a George, a new guy in Los Santos, which is welcomed by his friend, Lucas.

- Difficulty: Very Easy. The mission is mainly made of cutscenes with a few playthrough such as driving to Lucas home or the drug dealer. There is only two enemies in this mission; the dealer and the buyer. Yet, they are easily killed.

- Variety: Could be Better: The mission has a few different type of actors, vehicles and weapons. These are; a 9mm, a Perennial, George, Lucas, the dealer and the buyer.

Making a Start

- Length: Good. As it can be done in six minutes, the player plays as George and must steal a van full of drug and drive it to Lucas's seller.

- Difficulty: Very Easy. The mission is made of some cutscenes, some driving, and some shooting. The enemies can be easily killed, due to their low health and low accuracy.

- Variety: Good. The actors consist of; George, Lucas, Lucas's seller, the buyer and his goons. The weapons are; a 9mm and a Tec-9 (or is it a Micro-SMG?). The vehicles include; a Perennial and a Boxville.

Overall, the missions are good. icon14.gif The missions were enjoyable to play, but toning up the difficulty and/or, both recommended, the lenght would be nice assets to this mission pack. Still, the story is promising as the two missions shows potential. Anyway, good job for the author and keep up the great work. icon14.gif

I'll try to review at least one user's requested mission(-s) today, as tomorrow my internet conncetion will be off.

To be honest, I will review only one mission, so I'm choosing Tony_Florence's one.

Hello, friends!

Today I'm going to review a mission made by Tony_Florence. It's named "The Fight Club 4".

The mission can be find here: http://dyom.gtagames.nl/?act=show&id=12678

Now, time for review:

- Writing: Good. I didn't find a mistake, but the "Square Text" bug in the end did the rating.

- Presentation: Good. There were not so many cutscenes in the mission, but they are good.

- Length: Short, as it took for me 2 minutes to complete it. The protagonist named Kevin must defeat four opponents to win: Punkie Noobster, Big Bear, Jason and Blackie Chan. After defeating them all, he gets some good words from CJ.

- Difficulty: Easy. The mission is quite easy, no moments were very difficult or even medium. The opponents have some cold steel, but it doesn't make the mission harder.

- Variety: Good. Well, the characters are playing the main part in the mission, as nothing more, cars or pickups, didn't used. The weapons include baseball bat, knife and cane. Also the author used 5 objects: 4 gates and a chair.

Overall, the mission is nice, but easy. The author made something like boxing tournament, I like the idea. I wish him good luck in his future works, like the end of this series.

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 4 missions made by LeonCJ. They're part of his Ghost Ship series.

The missions can be downloaded at: http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=16305 .

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good, as it actually very well written with very few mistakes. Also nice text colorings.

- Presentation: Excellent. The cutscenes are quite abundant in this series, along with accurate timing between each of them. Some cutscenes are very creative, which fits them perfectly into a ghost themed storyline. I also like the idea of the easter egg items to collect in each mission.

It Begins

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. The player plays as Christ, an american soldier wearing a SWAT uniform, and he has been tasked by Toreno via his radio to get inside the large cargo ship basement in San Fierro, controlled by the terrorists by unlocking the security gates.

- Difficulty: Easy. The enemies have average accuracies, but are far apart to each other, not to mention the player's larger health and armor. Nonetheless, kill the enemies from an adequate distance in order to get less damage.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Chris and the terrorists as many different pedestrian models. The weapons include ak-47 and mp5. The items and objects include healthpacks, armors, crates, cargo containers, doors, explosions and metallic platforms.

Ship's Nightmare

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 7 minutes. The player Christ kills the remaining terrorists while some strange phenomena happens inside the cargo hold ship basement. It seems that the protagonist is facing another threat other than the terrorist themselves.

- Difficulty: Normal. The enemies have average accuracies but can make occasional damage due to the very narrow layout. The same can be said the melee weapon enemies as they can attack the player in large numbers at the same time. Again, kill the enemies from an adequate distance in order to get less damage.

- Variety: Excellent. The characters include Chris, the terrorists and the unknown enemies as many different pedestrian models. The weapons include ak-47, mp5, chainsaw and knife. The items and objects include healthpacks, armors, crates, cargo containers, doors, door locks, explosions and metallic platforms.

Strange Portals

- Length: Very Short, as it can be done in 2 minutes. The player Chris decides to get through a portal door that just stands out of thin air inside the cargo hold ship basement, in which sends him into a narrow submerged corridor and must exit by going through to the other side of the corridor.

- Difficulty: Hard. This is a short mission but it is quite tedious because the player has to swim underwater inside a very narrow corridor. Since the corridor is made of metallic platforms stacked together, there's some hit collision issues like if the player got stuck into some invisible walls. Find the correct path to go through and swim into it as fast as possible.

- Variety: Good. The character includes Chris. The weapon includes mp5. The items and objects include healthpacks, armors, crates, cargo containers, doors, door locks, street lights, explosions and metallic platforms.

Her World

- Length: Very Good. As it can be done in 8 minutes. The player Chris is inside the armory part of the ship must get a keycard in order to unlock a door at the basement level. Here, he has been tasked by an ghostly voice to bring a ghost world book into a table surrounded with floated cargo containers.

The characters include Chris, the terrorists and the ghosts as many different pedestrian models. The weapons include ak-47, mp5, chainsaw, rod and knife. The items and objects include healthpacks, armors, crates, cargo containers, doors, street lights, explosions and metallic platforms.

Overall, these missions are very interesting icon14.gif . I find these missions very creative with impressive presentation effects, which fits perfectly into a paranormal themed storyline. Great job for the author and keep up the great work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 3 missions made by Secronom President. They're part of The Story Of Samuel Garret mission pack.

This mission pack can be downloaded at: http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=16346 .

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good, as it's pretty much perfectly well written. Also nice text colorings. Some texts were a little bit too long which cause the next text sticking into the present one together.

- Presentation: Excellent. Although this mission pack requires to download some extra maps made by other users, they're very creative and unique at the same time. Also nice timing and viewing angle for each cutscenes.

Operation BISE - Part One

- Length: Excellent, as it can be done in 10 minutes. The player plays as Samuel, an army soldier, and he has been tasked by his FBI boss Gab to investigate the Bay Island, west of San Fierro where their wanted mad scientist lives. Once there, Samuel notices there's a lot of guards who is protecting the island and the helipad there. Kill them all and proceed to go into a tunnel from a safehouse inside the island.

- Difficulty: Normal. Most enemies have good accuracies and carry a whole variety of weapons. Fortunately, the action takes place in a whole wide open area, not to mention the occasional amount of healthpacks and armors there and some allies to assist you in the shootoutl. Kill the enemies from an adequate distance in order to get less damage. Be careful with some random explosions.

- Variety: Excellent. The characters include Samuel, Gab, fellow soldiers Jeffrey and Jacky and the terrorists who are mostly pedestrian actors. The weapons include mp5, knife, micro-uzi, tec-9, ak-47, m4, shotgun, sawn-off shotgun, pistol, silenced gun and desert eagle. The vehicles include the police speed boat and the hunter helicopter. The objects and items include healthpacks, armor, helipad, streetlights, explosions and metallic platforms.

Operation BISE - Part Two

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. The player Samuel has infiltrated into the mad scientist base (Area 69) from a 2 floored safehouse and must kill all the terrorist there. He also have to find keycards in order to unlock the doors which lead to the main antagonist.

- Difficulty: Hard. Most enemies have good accuracies and carry a whole variety of weapons. The safehouse part can be tedious, as it is very compact and some enemies carry weapons such as molotov cocktails, which can set the whole place in fire. Other than this, kill the enemies from an adequate distance in order to get less damage.

- Variety: Excellent. The characters include Samuel and the terrorists who are mostly pedestrian actors, including the Cesar, Catarina, Claude and CJ lookalikes. The weapons include molotov cocktails, flame thrower, knife, shotgun, mp5, tec-9, micro-uzi, m4, ak-47, pistol, silenced gun and desert eagle. The items and objects include Metallic platforms, keycards, armor and healthpacks.

Operation BISE - Part Three

- Length: Short, as it can be done in 3 minutes. The player Samuel gets inside the underground tower part of the base where the mad scientist, later named Henry, is hiding, while at the same time killing the remaining hostiles and his clones there.

- Difficulty: Normal. Most enemies have good accuracies and are equipped with m4s. As the player and the enemies are quite far apart to each other, you don't have to worry too much about the enemy fires, just kill them as fast as possible, especially by doing headshots. Stay at the long escalator and do not attempt to jump.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Samuel, Gab, Jeffrey, the mad scientist Henry and his goons as various pedestrian actors. The weapons include m4, knife, ak-47 and silenced pistol. The items and objects include explosions, armors and healthpacks.

Overall, the missions are impressive icon14.gif . Although it requires to download some extra maps made by other users, the missions has a lot of contents on them and the gameplay is still entertaining. Great job by the author and keep up the great work biggrin.gif .

Thanks for the review, I really appreciate it.

Now that I've finished Chapter 2, so when you have time, please review it, except for Welcome to My World mission, because it's just cutscenes.

Thanks. tounge.gif

Hello everyone,

Today I'm going to review 3 missions made by mati1501. The first mission is part of The Story Of Cosimo Bettino series, while the last 2 are part of his Jamaican Heat series.

Please go to the following link in order to download these missions:

- The Story Of Cosimo Bettino

- Jamaican Heat

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Good, as it is generally very well written despite having a few structural mistakes. The Jamaican Heat missions tend to have a lot of Jamaican slang words, such as rasta and clots, although they're a little bit overused in a way that sometimes it's hard to understand what they're saying. Also, nice text colorings.

- Presentation: Very Good. Nice timing and viewing angle between each cutscenes. The author also uses a lot of animations into the different actors in order to bring more life into these storylines.

Awake

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 8 minutes. The player plays as Cosimo, who recently leaves the army and wants to go to Los Santos in order to see his family. From the Los Santos airport, he has been greeted by his brother Luca, they both go into the Villa up north of Los Santos (Maddogg's mansion) and take rest there.

- Difficulty: Easy. Since this is an introductory mission, it doesn't involves any lethal actions. Just lead the player from point A to point B. However, the player can die if he does intentional accidents or gets busted by the cops.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Cosimo, Lucas, Cosimo's father, the bodyguards, the US army, the russians army (SWAT), the agents and the security guards. The weapons include mp5, ak-47, micro-uzi, shotgun and combat shotgun. The vehicles include the army helicopter and Lucas car.

Introduction

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player plays as Christiano, a Jamaican guy who just came to San Fierro from the eastern port, meets his friend Jordan there. Jordan wants the protagonist to be heated with a gun from the cafe west of the city, then go into his house.

- Difficulty: Easy. Since this is an introductory mission, it doesn't involves any lethal actions. Just lead the player from point A to point B. However, the player can die if he does intentional accidents or gets busted by the cops.

- Variety: Good. The characters include Christiano, Jordan and the Jamaican gang members as different actors. The weapon includes the pistol. The vehicles include a motorbike. The item includes healthpack.

Da Nang Gang Bang

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player Christiano, has been tasked by Jordan to assist him against the Da Nang boyz into a melee fight while they're attending into a weapon deal with a guy named Kowalski into an alleyway west of San Fierro.

- Difficulty: Normal. The main action consists of melee fight against 8 enemies at the same time, while the player has 2 allies to assist him. Focus to knock out one enemy at the time, while trying to avoid many enemies getting close to you.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Christiano, Jordan, Kowalski, the Jamaican gang members as different actors and the Da Nang Boyz gang members. The weapon includes the baseball bat, shovel, knife. The vehicles include a motorbike. The item includes healthpack.

Overall, the missions are very good icon14.gif . The Jamaican slang words should be toned down a little bit, as the readers might have a harder time to understand what they're saying. Otherwise, great job for the author and keep up the great work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review a mission made by SatournFan. The title of the mission is Sneakly Tiger.

The mission can be downloaded at: http://dyom.gtagames.nl/?act=show&id=12537 .

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Good, as it's very well written with few typing mistakes. However, there's an occasional structural mistakes in which makes the dialogues look somewhat sloppy, although I do understand that English is not the first language for the author. Nice text colorings.

- Presentation: Very Good. Nice timing and viewing precision between each cutscenes. This mission has a military theme on it, with the military equipments and vehicles. Nothing too fancy or jaw-dropping though.

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. The player plays as Vassily, and along with his Russian army comrades (Grove Street Families) in their camp (Aldea Malvada), has been tasked by Cpt. Vasilyev (Torino) to kill all German soldiers (Ballas) into the German camp just nearby (El Quebrados town).

- Difficulty: Hard. The enemies have great accuracies, have at least 500 HP and are equipped with powerful weapons. To make things more tedious, the player is only equipped with a pistol and your "must survive" allies can be killed by cars since the traffic is "on". Try to lure a few enemies at a time, take their dropped weapons and sticking close to your allies in order to achieve victory.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Vassily, Cpt. Vasilyev, the Russian and German army soldiers. The weapons include m4, tec-9, mp5, sniper, pistol and ak-47. The vehicles include Hunter helicopter, patriot and barracks. The items include healthpacks and armors.

Overall, the mission is good icon14.gif . Although the whole shootout is kinda tedious to play by the fact that only the player is equipped with a pistol while almost everyone, allies and enemies alike, are equipped with rifles. Otherwise, good job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review a mission made by Junior123456789. The title of the mission is Normal Day in Mike's Life.

The mission can be downloaded at: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=477798 .

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good, as it is very well written with few typing and structural mistakes. Also nice text colorings.

- Presentation: Very Good. Nice timing and viewing accuracy between each cutscenes. Also, there's a good amount of different animations that can be found, which brings more life into this mission.

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. The player plays as LSPD officer named Mike (Pulaski) and he and his friend Trent (countryside officer) got a call from a witness of a robbery made by 3 armed criminals at the Los Santos Bank (Las Venturas casino vault and Las Venturas photocopy office entrance) from the LSPD headquarters.

- Difficulty: Medium. The main action consists of killing 3 enemies, and all of them have very good accuracies. The first enemy can be killed by headshot stealth killing with a silenced gun as the enemy stand completely behind the player. The last 2 has maximum health (2500), have no headshots and must be fought simultaneously. Knock them down constantly with a combat shotgun while staying at the corner to cover against enemy fires.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Officer Mike, Officer Trent, a witness civilian, the robbers as gangsters and the hostages as office ladies and business mens. The weapons include combat shotgun, m4, desert eagle, silenced gun and mp5. The vehicle includes LSDP car. The objects and items include armor, walls and doors.

Overall the mission is good icon14.gif . The action of killing the 2 last enemies can be repetitive due of their huge health and the player's combat shotgun combination, which might be an attempt to make the mission look longer. Nonetheless, the author still make a good job for designing this mission and must keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 3 missions made by Nitesh aka AAAAAAA. They're part of his Who's there? series.

Please click to the missions below in order to download each of them:

- Intro

- Part 1

- Part 2

Now, it's review time,

- Writing: Very Good, as it is very well written with few typing and punctuation mistakes. Also nice text colorings.

- Presentation: Very Good. Nice timing and viewing accuracy between each cutscenes. The cutscenes are mainly used for interactions between different characters and to understand better the storyline. So, there's no crazy or jaw-dropping scenes to be expected.

Intro

- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. This is an introductory mission where 3 different groups are going to Shady Creeks, south of San Andreas, to do their activities there. The 3 groups are: The woodcutters from suburban west Los Santos, the Triads weed smugglers from Las Venturas and the environmental activists named TEC (The Environmental Champion) from Los Santos. All of these groups haven't seen each other before.

- Difficulty: Very Easy. This is a cutscene exclusive mission, so watch them all until you got the MISSION PASSED! message, period.

- Variety: Good. The characters include the woodcutters as rural actors, the Triads as thug actors and the environmental activists as business actors. The weapons include chainsaw and sub-machine guns. The vehicle include the TEC and triad cars.

Part 1

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player plays as Mike, a member of the environmental activist TEC, and along with his partners went to Shady Creeks to warn the further actions against the woodcutters. None of both groups have seen the Triads weed smugglers yet.

- Difficulty: Easy. This mission mainly involves of going from point A to point B. There's no lethal actions to do whatsoever. The only way that the player can fail the mission is to get drown into the water, doing careless accidents, killing his allies and getting busted by the cops.

- Variety: Good. The characters include Mike, a spirit as a senile asian actor, the woodcutters as rural actors and the environmental activists as business actors. The weapons include tec-9, shotgun and chainsaw. The vehicles include the TEC cars.

Part 2

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player plays as Inspector Ryan and he has been tasked to check out the Triad weed smugglers truck heading into Shady Creeks, while at the same time, meet the TEC members about the wood cutters activities. Later, the player plays as a Triad member who patrol the area against any foreign witnesses by doing a long walking.

- Difficulty: Normal. The main action of this mission involves killing 3 enemies near their truck. They are carrying m4 and have good accuracies, but they don't have the same range advantage against the player's country rifle, not to mention the wide-open area where the action happened. Kill them all from a distance and you're safe.

- Variety: Good. The characters include Mike, Officer Ryan, a spirit as a senile asian actor, the Triads as thug actors and the environmental activists as business actors. The weapons include m4, mp5 and country rifle. The vehicles include the TEC and Officer Ryan cars.

Overall these missions are good icon14.gif . They pretty much in the same format as the original GTA San Andreas missions in terms of length, although it would be better if there's a little bit more action, especially when there's like 3 different parties involved. Nonetheless, good job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Thanks for the review.

I tried to think about action but no idea came to my mind. You know, the woodcutters [only carried chainsaws], the TEC [i don't think it would make sense if they are fighting]. The only group that could have some action were the Triads. That's exactly why I decided to bring Ryan in the mission pack so that he can atleast fight the Triads [but that didn't work out that well too as the only fight he will do is in the final mission against the Triads].

I can't promise anything for this mission pack as it is already ending, but the next mission pack, I will make sure that I add action too and I will also try to make the missions a bit harder.

Thanks again for the review. icon14.gif

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 4 missions made by LeonCJ. They're part of his Ghost Ship series.

The missions can be downloaded at: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=476868

Trapped

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player plays as the SWAT soldier named Chris, and he learned that the cargo ship is struck by a Ghost world inter-dimension and that a lady shaped ghost is the one responsible of this weird event. He must escape against her ghost goons and the Ghost world by heading into a portal (floating door).

- Difficulty: Normal. Almost enemies are equipped with melee weapons. However, because of the compact layout of the cargo ship, which is actually the military ship in San Fierro, and that some enemies are equipped with weapons such as flamethrowers, the player has less room to keep distance with his armed weapons. Kill them quick before receiving any damage.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Chris and the ghosts as many different pedestrian models. The weapons include chainsaw, flamethrower, spray can, shovel, knife and mp5. The items and objects include healthpacks, armors, cargo containers, doors, explosions and metallic platforms.

Through the Crew Apartments

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. The player Chris enters a portal (floating door) which sends him at into an appartment full of ghosts. However, not all of them threat the player, as a old woman ghost named Selva tells the protagonist to find a young boy named Tom (CJ) and tells him to drop his tough attitude so that Chris can find a way to exit the Ghost world with his help.

- Difficulty: Normal. Almost enemies are equipped with melee weapons. However, because of the very compact layout of the ghost world apartments (Jefferson Hotel), and that some enemies are equipped with weapons such as spray can, the player has less room to keep distance with his armed weapons. Tom is the only enemy equipped with a firearm.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Chris, Selva, Tom and the ghosts as many different pedestrian models. The weapons include chainsaw, katana, spray can, tec-9 and mp5. The items and objects include healthpacks, armors, cargo containers, doors and metallic platforms.

Way Back

- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. The player Chris decides to exit the apartments by going back to the portal where he came from the beginning, notices that Selva is gone and must fight the remaining ghosts there. Once getting through the portal he must get into the cargo hold basement, but must fight against a soldier ghost.

- Difficulty: Hard. Almost enemies are equipped with melee weapons. However, because of the very compact layout of the ghost world apartments, and that some enemies are equipped with weapons such as flamethrower, the player has less room to keep distance with his armed weapons. The army soldier with his minigun is the most annoying enemy is this mission, as he can kill you quick if you aren't fast enough.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Chris and the ghosts as many different pedestrian models. The weapons include flame-throwers, katana, shovel, chainsaw, minigun and mp5. The items and objects include healthpacks, armors, cargo containers, doors, fires and metallic platforms.

Finding That Man

- Length: Very short, as it can be done in 2 minutes. The player Chris is at the cargo hold where he must fight a few ghost at the top of the cargo containers. He also meet a guy named Albert which the protagonist believes that he is actually alive, chase him after his failed explosion trick.

- Difficulty: Easy. There's 3 enemies to fight who are equipped with country rifles with good accuracies. However, because of the player larger health and armor, the enemies low HP and numbers, killing them is a breeze.

- Variety: Good. The characters include Chris, Albert and the ghosts as many different pedestrian models. The weapons include mp5 and country rifle. The items and objects include healthpacks, armors, cargo containers, doors, explosions and metallic platforms.

Overall, these missions are very interesting icon14.gif . As the last LeonCJ's missions I reviewed before, I find these missions very creative with impressive presentation effects, which fits perfectly into a paranormal themed storyline. Great job for the author and keep up the great work biggrin.gif .
