Gracias Secronom,

Good job on the review, thank you.

Anyway, you should use tactics to complete my mission.

It's more easy to go arround the whole town and shoot the ones who are standing at the outline.

Then take them on the roofs, and then the central ones smile.gif.

But ye thanks, I'll think about the timer, I had it in my head but thought it would get to hard to play smile.gif

Anyway this was my second mission and I will ask you for more reviews later <3

It will be always a pleasure to review your missions.

Just remember this; I've been proudly serving the community for over one day. tounge2.gif

^ A reference to GTA SA when Emmet says, "I've been proudly serving the community for over thirty years". Or something like that (I'm not too sure about the years).

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 5 missions made by Chimpso. They're part of the Perfidy mission pack.

The mission pack can be downloaded at: http://www.dyom.gtagames.nl/?act=show&id=9723.

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good. Very nice writings with the proper structure, punctuations, etc. Sure, there's some typing mistakes, but they're barely noticeable. Nice use of brackets () in order to know which character is talking.

- Presentation: Very Good. nice viewing angle between different cutscenes. There is a very good amount of animations used in this series, whether the characters are dancing, pointing a gun or driving.

The Beginning of the End

- Length: Short, as it can be done in 3 minutes. The player plays as Byron, a cold killer who gets his peace interrupted by some assassins, working from a leader named Mr. Tentus inside a disco club in Las Venturas.

- Difficulty: Normal. By the time the cutscenes ends, the gunfight is already started. As the disco club is a small place, the player needs to find cover quick and kill them with his desert eagle. Fortunately, the enemies accuracies are average.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Byron, dancing pedestrians and Mr. Tentus mens which mostly look like the mafia gang. The weapons include desert eagle, ak-47, mp5, pistol and knife.

Wishful Thinking

- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. The player Byron meets his cousin Ray and his sister Cassidy at the Pirates in men's pants, Las Venturas. The cousins doesn't get along at first, until Ray's loan sharks interrupted their arguments.

- Difficulty: Easy. it's a 3 versus 3 brawl fight. The player along with Ray and Cassidy must fight against 3 loan sharks with their fists. Knock them down in order to incapacitate the enemies and have a quick victory.

- Variety: Decent. The characters include Byron, Ray and Cassidty and the 3 loan sharks as normal pedestrians. No weapons can be found in this mission.

While the Irons Hot

- Length: Excellent, as it can be done in 10 minutes. The player Byron and his allies Ray and Cassidy want to attack one of the main Mr. Tentus base at LVA freight depot by running and drive-by shooting the ennemies with their car and still the stuffs there.

- Difficulty: Easy. The player rides a bulletproof car, which means he can run over the enemies at ground level. As for the enemies at the rooftop or the drive-by enemies, let Ray and Cassidy do their drive-by shoothings, they will kill them with their great accuracies.

- Variety: Excellent. The characters include Byron, Ray, Cassidy and Mr. Tentus assassins mainly composed of the mafia and the Da Nang Boyz gangs. The weapons include ak-47, pistol, mp5, micro-uzi and desert eagle. The vehicles include Ray's car, the enemy motorbikes and gangster cars.

Out of the Cradle

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player Byron, Ray and Cassidy wants to get rid of the Mr. Tentus mens at "The Visage" parking lot and takes their money. Unfortunately, a goon takes Cassidy hostage.

- Difficulty: Medium. This time, the player's car is no longer bulletproof car but has 2500HP which is more than enough to take some enemies at ground level. Use the enemy cars to protect against the enemy fires. Do not worry to much about Ray and Cassidy during the gunfight, as they can handle on their own for a while.

- Variety: Excellent. The characters include Byron, Ray, Cassidy and Mr. Tentus assassins mainly composed of the mafia and the Da Nang Boyz gangs. The weapons include ak-47, pistol, mp5, micro-uzi, shotgun, tec-9 and desert eagle. The vehicles include Ray's car, the enemy motorbikes and gangster cars.

The Evil will Always be Evil

- Length: Very good, as it can be done in 8 minutes. The player Byron wants to save Cassidy from Mr. tentus and his mens at the Whitewood Estates warehouse by killing them. Without spoiling too much, this is the last mission and is somewhat a bad ending.

- Difficulty: Hard. The enemies carry powerful weapons, have strong accuracies and the player must fight against them alone. Fortunately, there's a good amount of healthpacks and armors and the warehouse has many places for the player to take cover. For some unknown reason, Ray got involved in this gunfight and doesn't carry any weapons which can be annoying for the player. Mr. Tentus himself has 2500HP and carry a combat shotgun which can seriously damage the player without cover.

- Variety: Excellent. The characters include Byron, Ray, Cassidy, Mr. Tentus and his assassins mainly composed of the mafia and the Da Nang Boyz gangs. The weapons include ak-47, pistol, mp5, micro-uzi, shotgun, tec-9, combat shotgun and desert eagle. The vehicles include the newly luxuous Ray's car.

Overall, the mission pack is great icon14.gif ! I like how the protagonist acts like a badass by staying calm during dangerous situations. It would be good if the main enemy Mr. Tentus has more screentime in this mission pack in order to know him more instead of being a simple bad powerful enemy archetype. Anyways, great jobfor the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

I dunno who is part of the DYOM Community...

But at the Mission Database, when u press on a mission, I think you should be able to make a comment on it.

Like for a example if I download a mission, played it, I could make a comment what I thought about it or w/e

Hello,

Today I'm going to review a mission made a xMatix called Dawnville. It is a part of the mission pack World In War. The mission can be found here. --> http://dyom.gtagames.nl/?act=show&id=6945

Note: I am not reviewing the four others because they were freezing my game when I started them. confused.gif

Now, it's time to the review,

- Writing: Good. There are a few cutscenes and instructions but, you have errors here and there.

- Presentation: Good. While there is not a lot of cutscnes, there are enough for the player to understand the mission.

- Length: Good. As it can be done in six (6) minutes, the player plays as Ronald Moody, a soldier, and he must kill the Italianos located in Dawnville with the help of other soldiers.

- Difficulty: Very Easy. The player can shoot the enemies from far enough without having to worry about beeing wounded and only needs to find an item to finish the mission.

- Variety: Good. The player and his allies are soldiers. The enemies are SWAT members and there is a country police officer. The weapons included in this mission are; M4's, AK-47's and Satchel Charges. There are some minor objects like restaurant ones and some gates to make cell doors.

Overall, the mission is nice and relaxing to play. icon14.gif Toning up the difficuty, taking care of the spelling and adding more objects, characters, etc... in your next missions will make them more interesting. Anyway, great job from the author and continue the good work.

Thanks AznKei for reviewing my Perfidy mission pack. You must be a good player if you thought that the car in the third mission was bulletproof tounge.gif. And I admit the ending is pretty crap, but I had a short timeframe to do it and something unexpected happpened on the night I was making it that gave me less time.

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 2 missions made by Kratos2000. They're part of the Carlo's Forbidden Treasures series.

The missions can be downloaded at the following link: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=464948.

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good. They're generally very well written with mostly the right writing structure, punctuations, text colorings, etc. One of the unique features of the author missions is that he putted symbols such as triangles in order to differentiate the character's dialogues.

- Presentation: Excellent. Very good angle and timing between each different cutscenes. Impressive use of animations and weather effects in order to bring more life to the storyline.

Carlo's Old Script

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 8 minutes. The player play as Leonardo and he along his neighbor Jackson are looking some clues about his sister kidnappers. According to their another friend Vieri at the Orange Motel, the kidnappers are The 3 mafia Conspirators named Ricardo, Salviati and Salvatore (not the official GTA one). They want the secret book from Leonardo's family in exchange of his sister safety. They have a meeting in East Beach, Los Santos.

- Difficulty: Normal. The player must protect his allies during the deal with the Conspirator goons from a rooftop and snipe them when they start attacking. Do not fall off the rooftop.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Leo, Jackson, Vieri, Salvatore and the mafia goons composed mainly the mafia and Russian gang members. The weapons include sniper, micro-uzi, mp5, ak-47. And the vehicles are mostly composed of mafia black cars.

The Page of Knowledge

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 8 minutes. The player Leo must fight against Salvatore and his mens at their base in Verdant bluffs observatory, Los Santos. Salvatore has the power predict the future but fails to notice his murderer. The player reclaims the secret book at the end.

- Difficulty: Normal. This is mostly a gunfight mission but the enemies have average accuracies and are quite far apart each other with makes their defenses less intimidating. Still, use cover to protect against enemy fires.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Leo, Jackson, Vieri, Salvatore and the mafia goons composed mainly the mafia and Russian gang members. The weapons include micro-uzi, mp5, ak-47. And the vehicles are mostly composed of mafia black cars.

Overall, the missions are good icon14.gif . The only thing that surprised me is that when the player travels around town, there's no traffic or pedestrians, which is odd as it makes Los Santos looks like a ghost town. Otherwise, good job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Thank you for the review! AznKei, though I've already stopped working on this missionpack.

I'll publish soon my new project, and I think it's alot better than the others which I made before, I'd like to see what you think about them once they're out. turn.gif

And I was making the missions without an pedestrians because they never let my actors drive normally, or actually have a restricted area.

PS: how much is good, out of 10? because there's mostly "Very Good" & "Excellent"s, I'm just curious. smile.gif

Hello,

Today, I'm going to review two missions made by simi10. They are part of the Mission Impossible story.

Now to the review,

- Writing: Decent. While there are a few cutscenes and instructions, they are pretty simple but lack capital letters at the start of the sentences and periods at the end of them.

- Presentation: Decent. There a few cutscenes with the right angles but they are pretty simple.

Mission Impossible Part.1

- Length: Decent. As it can be done in four (4) minutes, the player plays as Claude Speed (a professional killer) and must kill the president.

- Difficulty: Easy. The soldiers are looking at the oposite direction you are which maes them easy to knife. But, there is always a chance you will miss one of your tries and that one of them will shoot at you.

- Variety: Good. The player is Claude Speed and the mission giver is Jizzy. The enemies are consisting of soldiers and Mike Toreno. There are also a few peds set neutral. The only vehicle saw in the mission is a Launch which is used to go to the president location. The weapons included are; a Knife, M4's, Mini Gun's and a Sniper Rifle.

Mission Impossible Part.2

- Length: Very Good. As it can be done in eight (8) minutes, the player is the same professional killer and he must kille the vice-president and his assistant.

- Difficulty: Easy. The enemies are facing the oposite direction of where you are, again. They are easy to knife but, there is always a chance that you miss one of your knifing actions and that the guards start to shoot at you.

- Variety: Good. The player plays as Claude Speed and his boss is Jizzy. The enemies consist of soldiers and Wu Zi Mu (Woozie) and Su Xi Mu (Suzie (Shuk Fu Ran Fa Li assistant)). The weapons are; a Knife, M4's and a Sniper Rifle.

Overall, the missions are nice and enjoyable. icon14.gif The only big con in them is the spelling which could be better. The guards should also have routes to make the missions more intense. Nonetheless, the missions are nice and good job to the author.

Hello reviewers! I have something for you to review!

I need you to review the five current missions of my 007 GoldenEye re-creation story:

Download

If you've never played the original GoldenEye before, I highly suggest that you take a read of the mission topic to get an idea of the story.

By the way. Please don't be too hard on the "Lenght" part of the review. Some of the missions in the original game are short, hence why my missions are short.

The story is not explained too well in the missions (as it's like that in the game) so make sure you read the briefing... uh... I mean, mission topic.

Thanks in advance smile.gif.

Hey AznKei, can I request your review on Act IV of Codename: Zulu?

I think you've already review the other three, but I can't remember which page the last review you made on my series is in this thread. I'll probably go look later.

Anyway, I really want to see what you think of the final Act. As it brings the story to a close (I recommend playing through the whole series to refresh your mind, as even I needed to when I was making the final update last month), and the final mission is my last stress-test of DYOM in the series - containing the exciting conclusion; about 99 Objectives, and dozens of actors and vehicles; several elements of gameplay including gunfights, difficult chases and escapes, and the final battle. You'll probably find the final battle hard, as the last objective leading up to it is Officially "Nails" tounge.gif

Sorry for making a huge post, I got a little carried away. Hope you can find time to finishing the series smile.gif

Hello,

Today, I'm going to review two missions made by Chimpso. They are part of the GoldenEye story.

Now to the review,

- Writing: Very Good. In mission one, there is only one mistake (te instead of the) and there are some here and there in mission two.

- Presentation: Good. While there are few few cutscenes, with nice viewing angles, they are here to help the player to undertstand the story as well as the instructions.

Arkangelsk

- Length: Excellent. As it can be made in 13 minutes, the player plays as James Bond, aka 007, and must infiltrate then escape a Russian base. This is the synopsy of the three sub-missions.

- Difficulty: Easy. In the first sub-mission, the enemies can be easily killed and they can also be exploded. In sub-mission two, the enemies can be easily killed if we use our surrounding well.

- Variety: Excellent. The player is James Bond. His friend, Trevalyan, has the same skin as him. The enemies are; some Los Santos police officers, some plane pilots and Ouromov (plane pilot skin). The weapons found are; a Silenced 9mm, some AK-47's, some M4's, a Desert Eagle, a Sniper Rifle and some Micro SMG'S. The vehicles included are; a Dodo, a Barracks, some Sanchez and a fuel rig. The major items used are; many TNT Barrels and crates.

Severnaya

- Length: Very Good. As it can be done in nine minutes (first mission is five and second one is four), the player plays as James Bond and must infiltrate an enemy bunker.

- Difficulty: Medium. Both the missions can be a little bit difficult (the first one because of the snipers and the second one if they don't use their surrounding) for the average player.

- Variety: Excellent. The player is James Bond. The enemies are; some plane pilots, some barber shop peds, soldiers, security guards (black clothes) and Boris (Russian Car Dealer skin). The weapons we can find are; a Silence 9mm, some Sniper Rifles, some M4's, some Micro SMG's and some Desert Eagles. No vehicles are involved in this mission.

Overall, the missions are nice and have a nice atmosphere making them enjoyable to play. icon14.gif Adding more difficulty to them would be nice. Apart from that, nice job to the author and keep up the good job.

Hello everyone,

Today I'm going to review 3 missions made by Doublepulse. They're part of the Las Venturas Crew series.

The link to download these missions can be found at: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=452913.

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good. Most of the writting are accurately well written. Sure, there's some errors there and there, but they don't really distract the overall experience. Nice text colorings.

- Presentation: Excellent. Nice viewing angles between different cutscenes. It is worth mentionning that these missions are HUGE, as there's a lot of stuffs going on each of them, which is an impressive feat.

Abushing the Weapon Ship in San Ferrio

- Length: Long, as it can be done in 15 minutes. The player plays as Markus, and has been tasked by the LVPD boss named Frank to go to the large weapon cargo ship in San Fierro via thier helicopter, bomb it and kill all the mafia enemies there, with his partners Officer Mendez and Parker.

- Difficulty: Medium. The enemies have average accuracies but still can be dangerous because, they're in very large numbers and most of them can't be headshooted and have around 250HP. Fortunately, there's some healthpacks and armors that are scattered around the gunfight site.

- Variety: Excellent. We have characters such as the young Markus, Officer Mendez (Hernendez), Officer Parker (Pulaski), the LVPD boss Frank, the mafia gang members, Phil (Kent Paul) and Johnny (Sindacco). The weapons include ak-47, pistol, mp5, micro-uzi, saw-off shotgun, shotgun and m4. The vehicles include the police maverick helicopter and a speed boat.

Robbery at the Caligula's Casino

- Length: Excellent, as it can be done in 10 minutes. The player Markus has been tasked by Frank to storm Caligula's casino, kill all the Mafia members here and steal their bag of money at their safe room, with Mendez, Parker and all the LVPD staffs. There's a betrayal scene in this mission.

- Difficulty: Medium. The enemies have average accuracies but still can be dangerous because, they're in very large numbers and most of them can't be headshooted and have around 250HP. Fortunately, the player has a lot of allies in this mission.

- Variety: Excellent. We have characters such as the young Markus, Officer Mendez (Hernendez), Officer Parker (Pulaski), the LVPD boss Frank, the mafia gang members and a federal agent leader named Jack. The weapons include ak-47, pistol, mp5, micro-uzi, desert eagle, shotgun and m4. The vehicles is mainly the LVPD cars along with some objects used to amplify the presentation.

You're Dead Asshole!

- Length: Excellent, as it can be done in 10 minutes. The player Markus knew that Officer Parker is going to betray anyone and wants his revenge at the Parker's mansion (Maddogg's mansion) and later the ferris wheel bridge at Verona beach, Los Santos.

- Difficulty: Hard. The enemies, as police officers, have good accuracies, are very large in numbers and carry some powerful weapons. Not to mention that the player must fight against them in solo. Fortunately, there's some healthpacks and armor which can save the player from a lot of trouble.

- Variety: Excellent. We have characters such as the young Markus, Officer Parker (Pulaski), the LVPD boss Frank, the cops and the protagonist friend Anthony. The weapons include ak-47, pistol, mp5, micro-uzi, desert eagle, shotgun and m4. The vehicles is mainly the mosquito and maverick helicopters.

Overall, these missions are impressive icon14.gif . They're HUGE in content and really gives the impression that the author wants to push DYOM to its limit. Unfortunately, there's one mission that the author wanted to be reviewed but crashes. It's the "Ambushing the Weapon Ship in Los Santos" mission. Nonetheless, the missions are still impressive and the author did a very good job for designing them. Congratulations biggrin.gif !

Thanks for the Awesome Review AznKei! biggrin.gif

Im little surprised that the Los Santos mission crashed for you tounge.gif I thought it was the Caligulas because of the 30+ actors in one area:P. I will have to look into that one, even though the one that crashed for you was not too impressive, since I rushed that one.

I was debating whether I wanted to keep it simple, or had complexity to it, but I felt keeping it simple did not keep the purpose of the story, so I kept with what I made smile.gif. The hp was not 250 hp, but like 2500 hp tounge.gif.

Thanks for the Review smile.gif I appreciated it.

Hey Aznkei / Secronom President, when you have some spare time, I would like it if you could review some more of my Power Is Everything missions. I would also appreciate it if you would review the Atrium Showdown mission in particular. Thanks.
