Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 4 missions made by Secronom President. They're part of the Secronom corporation series.

The link in order to download these missions can be found at: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=464033.

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good. While the objective descriptions and the dialogues are quite short, they're very well written with the proper grammatical structure.

- Presentation: Good. The mission lacks a good amount of cutscenes in order to make the storyline more suspenseful. But they're a few of them which is well done with the accurate viewing angles.

Chemical Experiments

- Length: Short, as it can be done in 3 minutes. The player plays as a security guard member and he with his allies must kill a group of SWAT members inside the Eastern bay Chemicals, south-east of San Fierro.

- Difficulty: Medium. The enemies have very good accuracies, and most of them appears at very narrow bridges on top of the chemical factory. Fortunately, most of them can be head-shotted and you can use your allies as human shields in order to protect against enemy fires.

- Variety: Decent, the characters include the Security guard and the SWAT team members with weapons such as pistol, mp5 and sniper. No vehicles are found in this mission.

One Gate, One Goal, Seven Men

- Length: Very Short, as it can be done in a minute. The player as a security guard member must defend, with his allies, his base, consisting only of 2 cars roadblock, against 2 waves of SWAT members at the countryside north-east of Los Santos.

- Difficulty: Medium. The enemies have very good accuracies. Fortunately, all of them can be head-shotted and you can use the roadblock to protect against the enemy fires, not to mention your allies support.

- Variety: Decent, the characters include the Security guard and the SWAT team members with weapons such as pistol and mp5. 2 cars are used as a roadblock in this mission.

Radiation

- Length: Short, as it can be done in 2 minutes. The player as Cesar Vialpando has been tasked by a local officer in Montgomery town to kill 2 zombies inside the radioactive backyard site.

- Difficulty: Easy. The enemies don't carry firearms. One of them has a very low HP and is barehanded whilw the other one has a very high HP is equipped with a chainsaw. There's also some officers at the rooftop of the backyard who assist you by killing the zombies.

- Variety: Good. The characters include Cesar, the countryside officers, and 2 types of zombies: a afro0-american civilian and a clown. The weapons include: Shotgun, micro-UZI and chainsaws.

Four Green OG In Fierro

- Length: Very Short, as it can be done in 30 seconds. The player as Cesar is assisted with the 4 main Grove Street characters to fight inside Wang Cars in San Fierro, which recently is infected with zombies.

- Difficulty: Easy. The enemies don't carry firearms. One of them has a very low HP and is barehanded whilw the other one has a very high HP is equipped with a chainsaw. With your 4 allies, the enemies can be dealt quickly.

- Variety: Good. The characters include Cesar, CJ, Big Smoke, Ryder, Sweet, the afro-american civilian zombie and the clown zombie. The weapons include chainsaw, micro-UZi, pistol and mp5.

Overall these missions are a good start of a promising storyline icon14.gif . The only drawbacks is that they're very short in length, so it might be better if the missions last between the 5 to 10 minutes range. Otherwise, good job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 3 missions made by mati1501. They're part of The Don and his gun series.

The missions can be downloaded at the following link: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=464215.

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very good. There's a large amount of dialogues and descriptions on each mission and they're very well written, even though it has no apostrophes ('). I also like the fact that each mission name is actually the target that the player has to assassinate.

- Presentation: very Good. There's a large amount of cutscenes with accurate viewing angles for each of them. There's a lot of different pedestrians and animations during those cutscenes which makes the whole storyline much more alive.

Rocco Vincello

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player plays as Joel in the storyline happens in 1978 at Las Venturas where the father of Salvatore Leone, Giovanni Leone, owns the Caligula's casino. The leone family wants Joel to kill their rival, the Barbaros family, in which Rocco Vincello is part of them and the main target in this mission. The mission consists of Joel, going to Rocco's apartment with Ricardo and end his life.

- Difficulty: Medium. The enemies have average accuracies, but the cops interference actually makes the whole mission more challenging, by killing the main target and escape from the site with the drug package.

- Variety: Excellent. We have a lot of characters such as Joel, Ricardo, Giovanni, Rocco, the mafia members and many more pedestrians as either neutral, allied or enemy characters. The weapons include the pistol, silenced gun, desert eagle, shotgun , flame-thrower and knife.

Marco Barbaro

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. The player Joel goes to the party club when one of his friends Ricardo kills the main target Marco and the whole place got ambushed by the Barbaros members. Joel, Ricardo and a girl must escape the place by going to the docks, south of Las Venturas.

- Difficulty: Medium. The enemies have average accuracies, but the cops interference actually makes the whole mission more challenging, by killing the main target and escape from the party club to the docks.

- Variety: Excellent. We have a lot of characters such as Joel, Ricardo, Marco, Joel's new girlfriend Veronica, the mafia members and many more pedestrians as either neutral, allied or enemy characters. The weapons include the tec-9, desert eagle, micro-uzi, pistol, flower, dildo and ak-47.

Vincent Caprio

- Length: Excellent, as it can be done in 10 minutes. The player Joel has been tasked by Giovanni to kill their main target Vincent Caprio in his apartment, but later situated at the yellow bell golf course's mansion, north of Las Venturas with his new partner Gordon as Ricardo escaped to Los Santos.

- Difficulty: Medium. The enemies have average accuracies, but the cops interference actually makes the whole mission more challenging. At one part, the player is equipped with a sniper in order to take out the barbaros from the heavily defended golf mansion.

- Variety: Excellent. We have a lot of characters such as Joel, Gordon, Giovanni, Caprio, Veronica, the mafia members and many more pedestrians as either neutral, allied or enemy characters. The weapons include the micro-uzi, m4, sniper, golf cane, desert eagle, pistol, sawn-off shotgun, shotgun and ak-47.

Overall, the missions are impressive icon14.gif . There's a lot of contents that are found in each mission and with the impressive storyline, many players would like to know what will happen next. There's some bugs that are found such as the multiple identical character spawning and the suddenly exploding cars from the 3rd mission. Other than that, very good job for the author and keep up the great work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today I'm going to review 3 missions made by LeonCJ. They're part of the Episodes From Las Venturas (EFLV): The Third Episode series.

The missions can be downloaded by clicking their names below:

- Killing Him

- Fall of the Toor brothers

- Now or Never

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good. They're generally very well written. I like the text coloring as it's help to better visualize the dialogues and instructions.

- Presentation: Excellent. Nice accurate viewing angles between different cutscenes. I like the "enemy fall from a high place" cutscenes a lot, it brings a lot of immersion to the already impressive storyline.

Killing Him

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. The player plays as Roman, a mafia killer, and has been tasked by Ted, a Ballas lookalike, to kill his former friend Zee at a building at come-a-lot.

- Difficulty: Easy. Despite that the player is equipped with weapons at the beginning. They aren't really useful during the whole mission. Just watch the cutscenes, go to specific locations and chase Zee, the main target.

- Variety: Good, We have characters like Roman, Ted, Zee and few random characters with weapons such as micro-uzi, baseball bat and shotgun,

The Fall of the Toor brothers

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 7 minutes. The player Roman has been tasked by Joey to kill Ted, who recently becomes a traitor, and his men inside and outside his apartment at Redsands west.

- Difficulty: Hard. There's a good amount of enemies in this mission and they all have very good accuracies. Despite this, the player also have some assistance from Joey and his men as well, so the difficulty does balance well.

- Variety: Very Good. We have characters such as Roman, Joey with his grove street lookalike mens, Ted with his Da Nang Boyz lookalike guards with weapons such as micro-uzi, baseball bat, shotgun, pistol, ak-47 and mp5.

Now or Never

- Length: Excellent, as it can be done in 12 minutes. The player Roman has been tasked by Vlad and Joey, from the come-a-lot castle casino, to travel to the 2 San Fierro docks and kill both Sonny, Dimitri and their guards.

- Difficulty: Medium. There's a large amount of enemies in this mission and they all have very good accuracies. Fortunately, there's some healthpacks and armors, and the enemies are less condensed to each other which can give the player more advantage to progress his mission. Not to mention his ally support.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters include Roman, Vlad, Joey, Sonny, Dimitri, the black bodyguard and the triad lookalike enemies, with weapons such as micro-uzi, shotgun, baseball bat, m4 and mp5.

Overall, the missions are impressive! icon14.gif There's some glaring bugs at The Fall of the Toor brothers mission during the cutscene where Roman and Ted are facing each other inside the apartment. Because of the Ted actor is still there inside and that the checkpoint is just nearby, the player actually have to kill him 2 times in order to end the mission. Otherwise, great job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Hello again,

I'm going to review the first 3 missions made by Celluk01. They're part of the Las Vantos Stories (LVS) series.

The missions can be downloaded by clicking their names below:

- Home Coming

- Getting back a rep

- Taking a drive

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Excellent. They're pretty much perfectly well structured with accurate punctuations. Nice text colorings in order to simplify the readings.

- Presentation: Very Good. Nice viewing angle between different cutscenes. They help to better visualize the storyline along with the dialogues and instructions. Sure, the cutscenes aren't jaw dropping, but for the first 3 missions, it's very good.

Home Coming

- Length: Short, as it can be done in 3 minutes. The player takes the role of Masser, a young college graduate, who came back to Las Venturas, from the airport, to see how his 3 old friends and the Las Vantos gang are doing recently. From the looks of it, not too well, Masser must take back their former glory.

- Difficulty: Very Easy. There's no gunfights involved. The player just have watch the cutscenes and travel from the airport to his home at Whitewood estates, Las Venturas.

- Variety: Decent. We got characters such as Masser and his 3 Las Vantos friends named John, Jacob and Markus. There's no weapons found there and a car is available at the beginning.

Getting Back a Rep

- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. The player Masser has been tasked by his 3 Las Vaantos friends to kill some armed Ballas gang members at one of their neighborhood.

- Difficulty: Easy. The enemies fire accuracies are quite good. However, the player's car is actually bulletproof and the gunfight happens in a wide open area. The player just have to be careful with the cops interference though.

- Variety: Good. We got characters such as Masser, his dad, his 3 old friends and the Ballas gang members with weapons such as the pistol and the desert eagle.il A car is available from the start.

Taking a Drive

- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. The player Masser has been tasked by Jason to take a look around Las venturas to see if there's any changes of the recent criminal activity with their car. Drop off Jason to his home at the end.

- Difficulty: Very Easy. No gunfights involved. Just drive to different checkpoints in order to understand the storyline.

- variety: Decent. We have characters such as Masser, Jason and the Ballas gang members. A car is available from the start.

Overall the missions are good icon14.gif . For the first 3 missions, although simple, they're well done and let the player to know more about how the storyline will progress. Great job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 2 missions made by mati1501. They're part of The Don and his gun series.

The missions can be downloaded at the following link: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=464215.

Now, it's time for the review,

- Writing: Excellent. There's a large amount of dialogues and descriptions on each mission and they're very well written, with apostrophes (') included. I also like the fact that each mission name is actually the target that the player has to assassinate.

- Presentation: very Good. There's a large amount of cutscenes with accurate viewing angles for each of them. There's a lot of different pedestrians and animations during those cutscenes which makes the whole storyline much more alive.

Don Jimmy Barbaro

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 9 minutes. The player plays as Joel, the Don's favorite gunner, and has been tasked by the Salvatore's guards to help the Don at the Caligula's casino. But they turned into the protagonist and K.O. him inside their car. Later, he notices that he's been caught by Jimmy Barbaros trap and must kill him inside the main enemy house.

- Difficulty: Normal. The enemies has decent fire accuracies, but since most of the shootouts happens inside a house, they can be dangerous if caught off guard. So proceed by killing the enemies more carefully.

- Variety: Excellent. We have a lot of characters such as Joel, Veronica, Jimmy Barbaro, the Caligula's casino Don, the mafia members and many more pedestrians as either allied or enemy characters. The weapons include the combat shotgun, knife, shotgun, micro-uzi, desert eagle, pistol, silenced pistol, m4, tec-9 and ak-47.

Giorgio Summanni

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 8 minutes. The player Joel has been tasked by the Don to kill Giorgio Summanni, a former ally who recently turned traitor outside and inside his house at the bone County desert, west of Las Venturas.

- Difficulty: Hard. The sniping part of the mission is easy as the player only has to snipe down his enemies beyond the shooting sight. However, the rocket launcher part of the mission is actually painful as the player must destroy the enemy hunter helicopter very quick before he starts fire missiles to the player mercilessly. There's some mafia allies, but they're pretty much useless.

- Variety: Excellent. We have a lot of characters such as Joel, Veronica, Giorgio Summanni, the Caligula's casino Don, the mafia members and many more pedestrians as either allied or enemy characters. The weapons include the combat shotgun, m4, mp5, sniper, rocket launcher, desert eagle, micro-uzi, tec-9 and ak-47.

Overall, the missions are impressive icon14.gif . I only have to give the reader's notice that Don Jimmy Barbaro and Giorgio Summanni missions are missions 4 and 6 respectively. There is a mission 5 named Ricardo Andreas, but unfortunately the mission crashes (objects, actors overload?). Nonetheless, the author did a very good job for designing these missions and must keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 4 missions of a storyline series made by SatournFan.

The link of these missions can be found at: http://dyom.ucoz.ru/load/missii/killer_chast_1/1-1-0-98. The website is only in Russian, but the file can be found near the download memory size.

Now, let's start the review,

- Writing: N/A. Unfortunately, this criteria cannot be rated since it is in Russian and my GTA SA's settings are in english. However, I noticed that the author use a good amount of text colorings.

- Presentation: Good. Nice viewing angle between each different cutscenes. Although they aren't jaw-dropping, there is some good amount of animations used for the main characters.

Mission 1 (DYOM1)

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 8 minutes. The player plays as a young afro-american thug and he has been tasked by his best friend, also a thug, to kill the Maddogg lookalike character and take over his mansion at Muholland, north of Los Santos.

- Difficulty: Hard. There's a large amount of enemies, all of them with very strong accuracies. There's no healthpacks and armor that can be found throughout this mission, but the health bar replenished when the player teleported inside and outside the mansion. Use the surroundings to protect against the enemy fire. His best friend also assist the player during the shootout.

- Variety: Very Good. The player include, the protagonist, his best friend, the Maddogg character and his security guards with weapons such as m4, mp5, combat shotgun, ak-47 and micro-uzi. The player has a white car available from the beginning of the mission.

Mission 2 (DYOM2)

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. The player has been tasked by his best friend to kill some white-hooded thugs at the Ganton apartment area, steal their money bag and get back to their new home at Maddogg mansion.

- Difficulty: Normal. While the enemies have very strong accuracies, they aren't too many of them, and as they're spawned in a open area, the player can also run them over with his car, instead of only shooting them. Watch out for the cop interference though.

- Variety: Good. The player include, the protagonist, his best friend and some different thugs as enemies with weapons such as m4, mp5 and combat shotgun. The player has a white car available from the beginning of the mission.

Mission 3 (DYOM3)

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 7 minutes. The player has been tasked by his best friend to kill some thugs at grove street cul-de-sac by sniping them from many houses rooftops with the jetpack, steal their money briefcase and go back home. For some reason, there's a 4 minutes time limit when the player travel from Maddogg's mansion to the Grove.

- Difficulty: Normal. While the enemies have very strong accuracies, they aren't too many of them, and as they're spawned in a open area, the player can also run them over with his car, instead of only sniping them and get away by flying with the jetpack. Watch out for the cop interference though.

- Variety: Good. The player include, the protagonist, his best friend and some different thugs as enemies with weapons such as m4, mp5 and micro-uzi. The player has a white car available from the beginning of the mission and later a jetpack.

Mission 4 (DYOM4)

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player has been tasked by his best friend to take a money briefcase from a drug dealer in El Corona. Unfortunately after this, he must escape from a 3-star wanted level while at the same time having a 3 minutes time limit.

- Difficulty: Normal. With the 3-star wanted level, a long driving travel to do and having a 3 minutes time limit, the mission can be challenging. Just drive carefully and be able to know where to go in advance.

- Variety: Decent. The player include, the protagonist, his best friend and some drug dealers. Like usual, the player's white car is still there.

Overall the missions are good icon14.gif . They follow pretty much the same format as the original GTA SA missions. Despite that the missions are writing in Russian, they're far doable to pass as they're always a marker point that tells the player where to go. Good job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review 3 missions made by Kratos2000. They're part of the Carlo's Forbidden Treasures series.

The missions can be downloaded at the following link: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=464948.

Now it's time for the review,

- Writing: Very Good. They're generally very well written with mostly the right writing structure, punctuations, text colorings, etc. One of the unique features of the author missions is that he putted symbols such as triangles in order to differentiate the character's dialogues.

- Presentation: Excellent. Very good angle and timing between each different cutscenes. Impressive use of animations in order to bring more life of the storyline. The mission checkmate is amongst the most original way to do cutscenes with the occasional use of fade to dark effects.

Introduction

- Length: Very Good, as it can be done in 7 minutes. The player plays as Leonardo Pavatti, who came to Ocean docks, Los Santos from Italy to avenge his father's death by the Italian mafia. His mother and sister also came with him. He got a new house in Jefferson from a local friend named Jackson Baker and decides to live there, while trying at the same being more familiar to the new city.

- Difficulty: Very Easy. There's no gunfights in this mission. Just travel to different checkpoints in order to understand the whole storyline.

- Variety: Good. We have characters such as Leonardo, his mother Maria, his sister Caterina, his new friend Jackson and the mafia gang members. No weapons are actually used in this mission.

Vieri's Secret Order

- Length: Good, as it can be done in 5 minutes. The player Leonardo has been tasked by Jackson another friend named Vieri Giovanni to kill his enemy Bartolome De Signorio, who are living just one block away to the west from his orange motel in Jefferson, Los Santos.

- Difficulty: Normal. As the enemy's base is a open area and that the enemies, equipped with pistols, are packed closely together, the player can run over them with his car. The player has to make it quick though, as the car can't sustain too much bullet damage.

- Variety: Very Good. We have characters such as Leonardo, Caterina, Jackson, Vieri, Bartolome and his mafia gang guards. With weapons such as the knife and pistol. A black car is also available at the beginning of the mission.

Checkmate

- Length: Short, as it can be done in 3 minutes. The Italian Mafia members were well aware of the protagonist's recent actions so they decided to burn down his house, murder his mother Maria and kidnap his sister Caterina. It was Jackson himself who described the carnage in details of what the enemy gang did to Leonardo's family.

- Difficulty: Very easy. The mission is mostly focused with cutscenes with suspenseful effects. The player only has to travel from the orange hotel to his new burned house. Watch out for the random explosion though.

- Variety: Very Good. We have characters such as Leonardo, Caterina, Jackson, Maria and the Italian mafia members with weapons such as bats and pistols. There's a few amount of cars and trucks there too.

Overall the missions are impressive icon14.gif . The author gives us a pretty detailed narration, and with the cool cutscenes, makes to the player to be more interested of what will happen next. Great job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .

Kratos2000

Thank you! these were the first three mission, where I was just starting to concentrate on the real plot and there isn't any action yet, I'll see what I can do,

I'm very loyal to the storyline, that's why it takes 3 missions to introduce it.. complicated, isn't it? ;]

Thank you for the review, now I can try and fix all the issues.

AznKei

Hello everyone,

Today, I'm going to review a mission made by guib, due of his repeated requests. The mission's name is A Ballas Trap.

In order to download this mission, please go to the following link at: http://dyom.gtagames.nl/?act=show&id=9905.

Now, let's start the review,

- Writing: Very Good. The dialogues and description are very well structured with the text colorings to make easier to read, even though this mission doesn't have many texts. There's a lack of apostrophes ('), but it's not a major issue.

- Presentation:Decent. There's very few amount of cutscenes, but at least they are there to explain what the mission is all about. So it's not bad.

- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. The player plays as a Grove Street homie and he must kill the Ballas members in the heat of a gang war in a empty street at Vinewood and later near his home at Idlewood, Los Santos.

- Difficulty: Normal. The enemies have average accuracies, but can still damage the player and his allies if they got completely surrounded. Clear a group of enemies on one way before focusing to the other group. The drive-by fighting part is easy as your ally does the work to defeat them and the Idlewood shootout part can be tricky if the player cannot find a place for cover quickly.

- Variety: Very Good. The characters includes the Grove Street homies and the Ballas members with weapons such as micro-uzi, pistol, knife, ak-47, tec-9, mp5, shotgun and m4. There's a good amount different cars too as roadblocks and drive-by tools.

Overall, the mission is fun icon14.gif . I only hope the storyline could be a little bit more detailed as it feels more like a freeroam mission with intense gameplay. Otherwise, good job for the author and keep up the good work biggrin.gif .
