It always makes me think when I buy my packet who I am really fueling, who is this really making money for apart from your low level dealer.

Right I know this is a very undeveloped and naive thought but does anyone else here think that now is the perfect time for a mass legalization of cannabis. Pretty much every economy right now needs cash and cannabis is basically a massive f*cking pot of unclaimed gold. Not only would it inject money into economy via taxation but also think of all the new job opportunities it would create as it would have to produced on a mass scale. I would go into a heavily detailed post about how the legalization could really benefit the economy but its 1am and I just wanted to inject a little healthy discussion.

 

Could legalize coke as well, it would be one way of claiming back some of the bankers wages.

The amount of money that would be got from pot is so minimal compared to what the economy needs that that really is a sh*tty argument. Besides, then the police would have to regulate the THC-amounts etc. and supervise that nobody is growing it at home.

Why would they have to regulate THC amounts ? It would just be a maximum. It would be like alcohol, different strengths for different types. Also why would they have to stop people me growing it at home ? They don't stop home brewing of alcohol or growing of tobacco.

 

And yeah it might not fix the problem but it would be far from minimal. California alone could make 105 million dollars from taxes on Cannabis.

California owes around 500 billion so yeah. And the sale would have to be supervised so people won't OD etc. And why would stoners buy sh*t for 15$/g when you can grow stuff at home for 1$/g and get equally good or even better stuff. Homebrews are sort of different since they tend to taste like crap and atleast in finland, making your own booze by distillation is illegal.

I am allowed to grow my own at home now but I don't. Not because it illegal but because its expensive and time consuming, also its not something you can just pick everyday when you want it. It buds and then you have to wait a few weeks for it to bud again so the majority of people would just go buy it from there local store.

Also ODing ? You can't OD from THC but you can from alcohol yet thats freely available to buy in various strengths.

Sanjeem has a point..In most parts of the US at least, we don't have the luxury of buying conflict-free weed. I go to Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina (One of the nations biggest stoner schools) and in my criminal justice class taught by the former Boone PD Chief we talk about how even here in BFE the bud moves up a supply chain to some hardcore gangsters that he has come into contact with (100 round assault rifle drum mags and the whole nine yard) just over weed.

 

But sure my dealers in the quantities I buy (1gram- 1oz.) are chill scholars who will go on to do big things in life.

I suppose there are many different ways in how the weed is created, supplied e.t.c. I read recently on the BBC that "Ordinary" middle class citizens were growing whole fields of pot in their basement or in their house somewhere for drug dealers and when the dealer would want some they would pay the guy/woman who owned the house.

 

In other cases I'm sure a lot of illegal drugs these days no matter what class they are, are trafficked by criminal gangs. Anyway screw them, they may kill people but nobody's perfect.

On the topic of ODing weed I have actually OD'ed once. Now its nothing like ODing on anything else (I od'd on MPDV once and didn't sleep for 3 days, thats proper ODing) but I would describe it as "mild" ODing.

 

We made brownies with 10g of weed in between 3 of us. This produced 8 cookies each. So an estimate is around 0.4g in each. I stupidly ate all 8 cookies at once, and after settling my stomach was astronomically high. The kind of high I get off AM2201. The thing is AM2201 only last for about 30 minutes so whilst intense it doesn't last long enough for concern. However consumed cannabis last about 6 hours, and by the 3rd hour I was f*cked. Thoughts all over the place but that's manageable however I was so high that I couldn't sleep. I watched 4 movies till it hit 5am and I managed to push myself to sleep. It was weird and unsettling. Like I said not an OD buts it the only time I have ever had a bad experience from weed.

 

I am not inexperienced when it comes to extended tripping as LSD tends to last for 12 hours and I love tripping for that period, there was however just something unsettling about that experience. My only guess would be that it came out of the blue and took me by surprise. Doesn't compare in the slightest to the MPDV experience, 3 days without the ability to sleep or eat properly is not something I would recommend. f*cking vendor sold it to me as 6-apb so I had a dosage of 125mg, MPDV on the other hand recommended dosage is 5mg....

completely understand where your coming from. the amount of 15 year old dealers in my town who have been smokin it for 1 year and recon they have the "best weed about" they annoy the f*ck out of me. immature, misguided and ill informed, there laughable at best. probably dont even know the weed names there being given are made up.

 

kiddies mistaking wet for sticky, kiddies claiming they got chronic when it could be far below standard.... kiddies selling it in completely outrageous weights, kiddies not even aware of what to avoid when it comes to weed.

Exactly. I don't mind buying from a younger person, but they have to be more grown up mentally than this kid I'm dealing with. They can't act like they've been doing this longer than me or that they're doing me some sort of favor by selling. Just be a f*ckin professional and let's get high.

 

In fact I can't stand when any dealer tries to make me feel like I am inconveniencing him by calling him or wanting to buy weed. Nigga this is the job you have chosen. If you don't want to open shop, then get the f*ck out of the industry. This is the way it is. You're not doing me a favor, I am doing you a favor by being your customer, and by keeping your illegal activity to myself. f*ck off with your attitude.

 

Charge a flat rate, don't skimp people (!!!), and be straight up when you are making a transaction. Business ethics are a lost art. Even if it's an illegal enterprise, you can still be a businessman about it and not such a prick.

Sort of like a bad trip but without the hallucinations. I admit that OD'ing is pretty hard since if you think whether you should smoke more or not, you're really not that high but its possible.

 

Tried ayahuasca yesterday and I think I'm in love.

I have exactly what you described and its not really ODing, its more just being uncomfortably high, unlike when ODing on other drugs like Heroin or coke.

 

ayahuasca is fantastic, only had it once but it was great. I would rank it higher then shrooms or 4-aco-dmt though its hard to prepare properly. LSD still holds number 1 for me though in the hallucinogenic class.

So last night may of been the most f*cked up I've been in awhile while high. Keep in mind, in the past, I've smoked a couple of bowls, then drank hard, and was fine. I've drank hard, then smoked a couple of bowls, and was fine. However, this night was different from all other nights. I smoked a couple bowls, drank hard, smoked some more, drank more, smoked some more, drank more for a good 4 more cycles. It all began with this feller:

 

 

A nice Quarter, a buddy and I threw down on. Anyways, we started the night with two bowls from this guy:

 

 

Keep in mind, that bowl is a good Inch & 1/2 across, and deep as f*ck. It's brown and it delivers hits like nobody's business, so we call it The Gavel. Yeah I know, this bitch does deal out justice.. Anyways we started drinking with a bunch of buddies, and one of our good friends shows up. He has a fresh 8th, so were like lets match on some blunts. So we get two blunts, there's 4 total people crammed in this bathroom smoking... Finish the blunts, bathroom is hotboxed like a champ, and were chillin. We come out, drink a ton more, hit another bowl from The Gavel. Come back out, keep drinking for another hour or so, and then hit two more bowls. When I walked out of the bathroom that's been hotboxed for 3 hours already, it hit me.

 

I couldn't walk straight, couldn't see straight, couldn't think straight. If I sat down, I started spinning. If I stood still, I started spinning. If I tried walking around, I lost my balance and fell. I wasn't in any way totally f*cked from the alcohol, because I've drank way more before and been pretty fine. I had to get a friend to drive me home, where I literally sat outside on my driveway for an hour just trying to get fresh air. I finally get up and walk inside, and finally get to my bed. I lay down, and pass out within seconds. Woke up today feeling great, but easily the most f*cked up weed+alcohol has ever gotten me.

Not everyone gets that depressed wave of thoughts. It really depends on your mental disposition overall as to whether or not that happens to you. That is not a uniform effect for all smokers. And no, you can't really OD. You just think you are.
