dog_day_sunrise
Those Alpina wheels really dont work on the 5er imho. I adore the Phaeton- far cooler than a 7-series or S-class. Delimited, the W12's will do about 180mph! They're also silly cheap now...For the price of a boggo new Passatt diesel with leather and climate, you can get a 6.0 W12 Phaeton with adaptive suspension, 4-zone breezeless climate control, TV and more dead cow than you can shake a stick at. Yes, they were overpriced for a VW on their production, but they were underpriced for a Bentley, which is basically what they were.

Lurch
I always saw the Phaeton as an overweight, steel-bodied A8. And IIRC, at the time, there wasn't much of a price difference between the two. It's a good car all, but given the choice, I'd rather have the A8. E34 M5 is sweet. I wish the the NA models had the S38b38 and the 6 speed so I could have a chance of possibly nicking that combo to put in my E28.
marquisman
The car no one agrees with me on is the z31 style 300zx. Sure it looks like a stereotypical wedge racer, but good lord do I rubberneck everytime I see one. They are sooo underrated. Oh my god I love the Z31, in my opinion one of the best looking Nissans ever made, especially back in the 80's, most Nissans looked like sh*t in that era. Also I always liked the 1992-ish Nissan Sentra especially the SE-R though people think I'm strange for it. And ever science we owned a 1977 Mercury Grand Marquis I have always had a soft spot for them Though the one we had was in funky 70's orange, and don't let the looks fool you it can get up to speed, though you better have a good half mile to slow down for a turn. full size fords for teh win! thats all iv owned. hint, thats why im the marquisman! lol

Phaetons started at about £50k over here, a good chunk cheaper than the equivalent A8 of the era. They also come/came with more kit as standard too. They are, are you quite rightly say, 400-odd KG heavier, but they're also bigger inside- closer to the LWB A8 in terms of room. And besides, that kind of weight doesn't really matter in a luxury car. corvettelover
Berettas. There is actually a small group around the internet that is in to them. However, the mods they do to them are extremely ugly and embarrass me as a Beretta fan, even more so. The body kits are very rice ,retarded curves/shapes, hood scoops, angel eye head lights, retarded rims, etc. I'd love one like in the picture above, super clean. Heh, I like that car. my parents bought a 89' like that when they were new (it was a GT with ground effects and all the other crap) and was actually nice, I think they still have it. I bet its sh*t now though since its been sitting in the forest for probably 5-8 years, lol. its was nice when it was parked there though. Oftopic: Three cars I would love for someone to create for GTA: 97-99 Blazer/Jimmy, Either a early 90's Geo Metro or a 96+ Chevy Metro and a Beretta. I don't know why no ones ever made any of them for GTA.
1066ant
Allegro! Why you ask? Because its fantastic, the dumpy styling, the plasticy interior, the vinyl seats and the optional vinyl roof! A car that is mostly despised by people who have never owned one or if they did it was as a 1st car in the 80s when it was shagged. Granted the first models were full of problems due to bad build quality but compared to other 1970s products it isn't half bad. I'd have one in a hearbeat, at least it'd be a laugh. However, these... *snip really big picture* Please, just not in blue. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks I guess.. If I was to name off any car here, then I would have to say this.. Yeah, go ahead and burn me at the stake. I like the least liked Ford Mustang generation, and I only like that because while performance and Ford were words that weren't in the same dictionary at the time they still tried to make cars LOOK fast. While that does sound goofy, and it probably is it's still the effort I guess. Maybe i'm looking too much into it. Meh. Discuss.

Harrisboy
I'm curious: I keep seeing pictures of Volvo's and Saabs and Yank Tanks with people swooning about how amazing they are and others just don't get what they're on about. For me, it's the Focus. I'd give anything to have a 2010 one just like this: or this: Yes, I know it's a small economy car that most people wouldn't give a second glance, but to me it's one of the best looking cars on the road. I was just wondering what you guys liked that you would own in a heartbeat but would make other people question why on earth you bought one. Wow, the american Focus's look horrible! Our version, in my opinion looks so much better. They're absolutely brilliant to drive as well... And the 2.5 Turbo ST is magnificently fast.. To answer your question mine would probably be the BMW Compact... this shape: I don't know what it is... I've never driven one, but the styling I think is awesome. But everyone I mention one to say they don't like them. I saw a pukka black one the other day with tinted windows and little chrome bits on it.. Looked proper smart. Edit: Changed picture.. scrolled the screen

They're absolutely brilliant to drive as well... And the 2.5 Turbo ST is magnificently fast. The facelifted Mk2 ruined the reasonably pretty face of the earlier ones- especially in ST guise. It looks like it's got some horrible eye infection. Mk1 Focus RS for me- the Mk2 just felt fat, and wallowed around corners in comparison.
Harrisboy
I'll have to disagree... Mk1 Focus's look horrible.. especially the interior. The mk1 Focus RS however was an exception.. The bodykit made it look very beefy. Dunno about the big spoiler though. I quite like the mk2 actually, not as much as the mk3 though. edit: just noticed that picture has writing all over it now! Granted, the Mk2 does look better than the Mk1- but the interior looses all of its interesting quirkyness and is well below the standard of the Mk5 Golf- which is, for some bizarre reason, also cheaper. The Mk1 Focus RS is suitably mad to make it insanely cool. Crap to drive on the road, though- a bit too hard and lots of front end skip on poor surfaces. Amazing on a track, however. Personally, I would find a trashed LT-1 Camaro or Corvette and scavenge the intake, throttle body, exhaust manifold, if its a Corvette, take the cylinder heads, buy a new cam, new gears in the axle, Camaro Transmission, and stiffer lower shocks. What I was implying by saying you don't need one was that you do not need a supercharger to get to 400hp. 400hp is a relatively easy goal to reach without any form of forced induction. A supercharger is expensive. Going from 250hp to 400hp is doable. The thing is, strapping a supercharger on to to that would be like putting rockets and robotic limbs on a fat guy so that he can make it up the stairs without dying when you could just put the fat f*ck on a diet. Besides, getting the best use out of a supercharger, especially with that super-detuned motor, would be to apply it once the internals are up to par and built up. Your right, I figured the heads would be enough. But in the end the whole motor would need a going through. Kevin...
You could probably do it on stock heads. But freeing up the intake, larger throttle body, and a cam could get you over 300 easy. Adding some big valve heads would really be a kicker though. The bottom end of that motor and the cylinders are plenty strong. Shouldn't need any major modifications unless you planned on going 500+.
