Great episode, a great balance of feels and funny. Loving this season so far. Something tells me it's to punish us though, for even darker episodes to come.   Also..

Ugh, I don't think cutting someones hand off (on a TV show) isn't "cruel" at all. If someone gets offended by that, they need to be watching the Disney channel or something. Plus, someones hand getting cut and someone getting raped are completely two different situations. Something "cruel" would be like Carl getting raped, which actually happened or got pretty f*cking close to happening to him in the comics... while one hand Rick was forced to watch. That sh*t was chilling as f*ck.

 

I don't think Merle will last long with 'The Sheriff', just don't see it happening.

I wish comic details were covered up more often in this topic.

 

I've ignored it til now, but I got to say this season has been brilliant. Could it get any worse than seasons 2 though!?

 

The below contains minor spoilers to season 3.5 finale.

 

Anyways, I liked the last episode, especially the bit where Michonne put her sword in....but the other action seemed a bit lame, still tense, but in terms of execution thought the whole shootout seemed a little poor. Hard to believe that the guvnor troops only managed to take down one of them, escaping, when they are such marksmen, demonstrated by that scene when they take down the military!

Anybody else find the score of the show absolutely incredible? I think it's the best thing that they can actually do complete justice with. Season 3's Episode 4 was truly amazing to me.

I've caught up with The Walking Dead now, and I can't wait for the next episode! I'm loving the originality and faithfulness to the comics, even if there are slight changes. I love the appearances of Michonne and Tyreese.

 

I think the only thing I don't like is that They try to make the Governer a bit more human. Also the way he loses his eye in the book is that after he tortures Michonne, Michonne scoops it out with a spoon, she also castrates him so the difference is massive here which sort of sucks but I'm not a douche, so I'll learn to live with it.

Well, to be fair, his brawl with Michonne in the previous episode pretty much turned him into the harsh, sadistic and cruel governor you know from the comics. He's now become bitter, he's lost his daughter and his eye, and a great deal of his defense forces were taken out. I'd like to see them give him a proper eye-patch now.

Todays episoide was good kinda sad to see darrel leave the group but looks like tyress will be the new darrel. Love the new badass govner. The ending was ok but i couldnt really tell if that lady was lorie or not. Also I wanna know what the hell is going on with rick though.

Daryl is in the preview for the next episode, so it's not like they're writing him out of the series. I would have like to have seen Rick take a more brutal approach to Merle.

 

My only issue with this episode is that it lacked focus. The story was all over the place. I would have preferred it if they used the previous episode for tonight's premiere.

I kind of wish the Dixon brothers would just disappear, and not be in the show. That feels like a thing that should be in the Walking Dead. Characters coming and going (either dead or alive).

But the thing is, Daryl is one of the better characters in the series. I wouldn't Andrea leaving for a while (hopefully never coming back), but Daryl needs to come back to the main group. Also I am a waiting the return of the Father and Son from the first episode. Seriously, I want to know what happened to them.

 

Also, why did they have to bring Lori back as a ghost? Can we not just let that character die? Why couldn't they have one of the other people that died during series? Like T-Dog!

According to the description on the next episode, Rick goes to look for Morgan, so you're in luck.

As the group debates their next course of action, Rick wanders after a lost friend. Daryl and Merle question their choices. The Governor restores order in Woodbury and makes plans to punish those responsible.

That's what I was thinking. But I really hope we're wrong on this. I want to see Morgan come back. So much potential there.

Yea ive been wondering what ever happened to them. Hope they do eventually end up comming back. But i doubt its going to be in the next episode cause it just doesnt make any sense. If anything it will probably be morgan running into rick instead of the opposite happening.

I think its safe to say that at least one person will die in the next episode, because of that guy in the new group (of 4 people) that wants to kill the guys at the prison and take their supplies and shelter.

 

I think he'll try and kill one of Rick's group (and perhaps succeed) and immediately after get killed (probaly by Tyreese, earning Rick's trust).
