Tyler 5,829
Then again, they contradicted themselves on the part in season one where they mention how they have to mask their smell... when apparently it wasn't necessary as long as you hide under a car 2 feet away from them. Anyway, much better episode than last season's finale, so I'm definitely looking forward to watching it on Sundays again. For now.
Jonesizzle 1,350
Jeez, I spoiled myself with watching season 1 on netflix, it is a shame AMC plagues this show with commercials every ten minutes. I'm interested in seeing how this "Love Triangle" works, seeing as blonde lady (feel silly not knowing her name) has an idea of what's happening and Dale almost witnessed a murder because of it. Never read the comics, actually never knew they were comics up until I finished the first season and did research. Dont you think that if you got that close to a deer, it would run I'm pretty sure that scene was implying a answer to Rick. Also, I'm a bit confused on the opening scene from season 1... didn't really elaborate.
meta187 12,171
it is a shame AMC plagues this show with commercials every ten minutes. Seriously! Obvious cash cow is cash cow. Really glad I recorded it or I would have gone nuckin' futs not being able to fast forward.
[SM]CJZera 1
I am still utterly surprised by that ending... Seriously, I never saw that shot coming Anyway, am I the only one who thinks it was not hygienic to toss a dead guy on top of the guy who got a huge cut in his arm, or the fact that the girl almost got zombie blood in her mouth and eyes... Really glad I recorded it or I would have gone nuckin' futs not being able to fast forward. We live in the age of the DVR. Anyway, a hockey game was on at the same time, so I just switched over to that during commercials. Either way, they're saying that the premiere broke records for ratings on a cable television drama. 7.5 million viewers. I think we'll be watching this show for a long time. It seems that they can only get infected by being bitten by the Zombie, but hey doing that save their lives!
Jonesizzle 1,350
The show steps over itself in some scenes. They implied in episode two of season one that these zombies can "smell" flesh, drenching two of them in guts and such but yet 7 people can hide under cars, two of them flop a dead zombie over them (one with a open wound) and yet the zombies just wander on by. I'm glad they are smart enough to write in that Daryl and Rick had gloves on while gutting one of them. darth, DVR is a hefty price on a already hefty cable bill I have, unfortunately. Like I said, I spoiled myself with watching all season one on netflix, sh*t was lovely watching a episode for 43 straight minutes with no interruptions, or fast forwards. Fnorg 1,924
So, hey, this was pretty good. I hope it doesn't take a nose-dive like season one did after the premiere because I really enjoyed this. Everything from the way it was shot, to the acting, writing and lighting seemed different and better. I'm also really glad they're switching things up from the comic, hopefully they won't even go near the hammy territory the comics covered.

I'm glad they are smart enough to write in that Daryl and Rick had gloves on while gutting one of them. Wrong. In a group of zombies, they other zombies are perceptive enough to smell if another in their crowd isn't festering and decaying, like if you could smell if somebody smelled differently than you. Their systems act as well as a regular persons', so if you could smell somebody hiding underneath a car, then your zombie would be pretty good at sniffing out humans hiding under cars. mrpain 43
Just watched the first episode. Tense is the word to describe it. The part where they all just laid underneath the cars when the horde, yeah they should have it called it the horde and not the herd, was really tense. Plenty of OH sh*t moments. Some pretty cool zombie kills in there too. It seems like they're really gonna focus on each character now rather than rushing their storylines like in Season 1. I think I'm the only one who doesn't want Shane to die. Ever.

Thanks for clarifying that, for some reason I sensed the zombies went by smell rather than looks, but I guess that explains why Glenn had to go into zombie mode to get the female zombie outta his face during the episode "Guts". I don't think anything in the comic would be hard to translate into the show. Except, of course, getting it past the network. It's all great stuff, and the first season has already explored far "hammier" moments.

Don Garcia 84
So, did we like that? I thought it was alright, but my boner for this show is gone. Was kinda dead by last season's end to be honest. Now I just watch this show, cuz it's on. I'm not counting down the days until next Sunday like I do with Breaking Bad. The show just suffers from aimless plot. Why are we watching? When Rick was looking for his family, I was hooked. But then...he found them. Really fast. And it's just been people dicking around the zombie-infested American south since. I'm kinda liking the talk show, Talking Dead, more so than the actual show. They've had Patton Oswalt and Brian Posehn on and that's been cool beans, and Kirkman was on last night with Posehn. Quite enjoyed that. I learned that there are no zombie animals in Kirkman's universe, among other things.
HaydenHarman 1
i thought it was pretty great but I do understand what you are saying because it is getting a little dull just watching them dodge zombies
Pat 7,621
At this point I'm just waiting for the prison. I'm one of the people convinced that Meryl is going to be the Governor, and that's about all there is keeping me interested at this point. Last night's episode wasn't bad, but I think they're starting to forget that this is a zombie apocalypse, not a soap opera.
Don Garcia 84
They crossed into Soap territory with "Vatos." No going back now. Anyone think Merl took Sophia? Like, what if?
Marlowe. 15
Hmmm, Merle taking Sophia hadn't crossed my mind (let's hope he hasn't given her the clap). But I was thinking if she wasn't already a happy meal for a 'Walker', that some normal people have her. So if Merle has her, that would make it interesting. Merle's return is one of the, if not the only, thing I'm looking forward to in this show anyway.
meta187 12,171
It was alright. Otis and Shane look pretty good and f*cked at this point. Otis in particular, fat guys always get a bad shake in the zombie attack scenario.

When the zombie outbreak first hit, the first to go, for obvious reasons... were the fatties.
Jonesizzle 1,350
'Lets throw all our flares to distract them so we can get the supplies, and then when we turn around we must mindlessly run wild away from this herd! That really threw me off. This is alright. I've been waiting for something big to happen, kinda like what Don Garcia refers too. I don't know what I'm looking for? Merle? Sophia? Morgan and his son? What the f*ck is up with the awkward love triangle, when will it be resolved? What was whispered in Rick's ear?! Is Carl going to die? It's like everything will tie-up into some season finale shenanigans.
Fnorg 1,924
Meryl is going to be the Governor I've been hoping that they'd just pull a Soprano on Merle and never bring him up again, but this would be so fun that it'd be worth it.
darthYENIK 8,854
Whipped this signature up. I've been taking screen caps, on my phone, of the best panels in the comic as I read through it. Might have to get some sort of image rotator going. Anyway, I thought the new episode was kind of slow, but in a good way. It needed a lull to build up to hopefully an action packed episode on Sunday.
A loaded rifle 5
I can't wait for them to leave sophia and get back on the story. Who is gonna watch tommorow's episode?
Yokelsson 6,529
I think this show is pretty dumb now. Instead of being better and better like normal shows, it's getting worse. The pilot is still the best episode in the series. And the second season dialogues sound like something out of a cheap daytime soap opera. The pilot last year was so brilliant. It felt like a movie. Every scene was awesome. What the hell happened?
