The Lolwut Pear
Any Schafter can be found in any version of the game at any time, IF we include the use of mods, which is why they don't count. So Lolwut Pear, no, it CANNOT be obtained in GTA4, if it requires hacking the game to put the vehicle data into the game and then spawn it. I said at the bottom of my post that it was a mod... Dominico
Yes, obvious a mod because I saw tons of differences there between TBOGT Shafter and your car.
Tycek
The picture The Lolwut Pear posted is showing something that can be called normal Schafter. My picture is showing car known as Gay Tony's Schafter. It has body kits, different grille and rims. Gay Tony's Schafter can be found in SP and "normal" Schafter is available only in MP. Dominico
Oh, sorry then, my bad. I started with EFLC and haven't played IV yet, lol
Lancet
Just as I said. You cannot have the both. And it's easier to spawn one in TBOGT rather than TLAD or IV, because the new Shafter looks quite different, it's based on the new C-Klasse Mercedes, and not the old one they used back in 2008.And look at the rims, in Lolwut's photo, lol, they're not the original rims. Also look at the front grill and the car logo. Notice any difference? Yes, you CAN have both Schafters. Only in TBoGT, of course, since the new one doesn't exist in GTA4 or TLAD. Save a new Schafter from a mission that has it (via mission replay if necessary). Then go to Hove Beach and get an old Schafter. Drive it to the parking spot where you saved the new one. Side by side new and old Schafter. And if you're set on getting them both to spawn randomly on the street together, drive a new Schafter and go to Hove Beach. Eventually you'll see both a new and old one at the same time. You have repeatedly said you cannot have both, but that statement is false.
Dominico
Ok, I'll try your method. I just hope the game won't crash before I take a picture f them both.

I don't really know why it crashed for me, I think it's that I was continuously pressing F10.

It's not one of the "sticky keys". I press it like 2000 times a day.
The Lolwut Pear
Also my game was kind of laggy at the time.
Dominico
Yeah, I know what you mean. Usually I have like 3-4 programs running in background and when I switch through tabs sometimes I get dramatic framerate decreasing
Lancet
Dominico, do you just want to see them side by side, or actually get them to spawn at the same time on the street? Just curious. And they are two separate cars in the game's programming, so while they are both called Schafter, they're actually as different as, say, an Infernus and a Comet as far as the game is concerned. Ufermalosu
there are Infernus cars in TLAD just hop on one of custom 'rice rocket hairdryer' bikes and sports cars will start to spawn. certain areas spawn the Infernus. just drive around til ya see one. You can have the old and the new Schafter only in TBOGT. In TLAD is literally impossible without a trainer. Schafter appears in 2 versions, just like the Dukes. There's tuned Dukes and there's factory Dukes.

It simply doesn't exist there.
Dominico
But what if you can actually force it to spawn without using any trainer? I mean just modifying the vehicles file in TLAD folder?
Lancet
But what if you can actually force it to spawn without using any trainer? I mean just modifying the vehicles file in TLAD folder? You'd need to add it to the TLAD vehicle database and stuff, which is still modding the game beyond its default state. In that case, you could put TLAD and TBoGT vehicles into GTA4, or make new ones, and other such things. The only real exception are vehicles in the game's database that don't appear in the game, like the Tampa in TLAD, but even then, the vehicle is still there, it just isn't programmed to spawn. Unless the Episodes version of TLAD somehow has the new Schafter in it, it won't appear without modding the game, and at that point all bets are off. And that Schafter is not in TLAD any more than, say, the Skylift, or parachutes, or Luis' missions are in TLAD (which is to say it isn't).
Dominico
It kinda sucks. I like the new Schafter and I spent like a whole day in TLAD to find it lol, I never knew it's only the old C-Klasse look-a-like instead of the new hotter version

Dominico
That's what I'm talking about! But you can't do that in TLAD, only in IV and TBOGT.

MurderMosquito
After I completed Stubbs side mission, I went for a drive (on a bike, not in the infernus) and a few blocks away, there was another Infernus.
