Release an unfinished ''beta'' version of 0.3, this will contain an incomplete taxi service and some bugs in other services. Note that this is the alpha version of 0.3 because I hadn't much time to finish everything completely. I hope you all understand. This version will probably contain a bunch of bugs, hope they are not much of a problem. I will fix them in the next version. Also, the taxi service is unfinsihed, only 3 locations are available. They are located in San Fierro. For all the new content in this version, check the feature list in the first post of this topic. You could also have a look at the readme for more information. TigerTanker Posted October 1, 2010 Share Posted October 1, 2010 I'm glad you released a new version, I had fun with it, although I found some bugs. -The firefighter and the paramedic stops at red lights even though they have the siren on. I think you should make them come to Carl as fast as possible. -Everytime I call a paramedic, it comes to my location but after the guy exits the car, the game freezes. -Same goes for the firefighter. I kept burning the ground with a flamethrower and when the firefighter approached me the game froze. -If I call for a pizza and eat it, CJ will have a strange animation. You can get rid of it by jumping but after that you won't be able to aim with guns. Also, how do you enter taxis? It's not in the readme and I have no idea how to. Well, actually it was but yesterday I decided to gather all the files together and continue with the mod. The problem was that all my modding files were on my old computer. Yesterday I managed to get them back and now I am where I left. I have been testing every service to see where I can make some improvements, there's only one problem: I have no idea where I should continue. You have a menu to pick a car what you want, only a little list, and you have to pay him a certain amount of money, then he comes to you? Would be cool.. Anyway, i hope you continue this! But the difference is that he will be carrying heavy weapons like a M4 or AK47. What do you think about that? @leoncj: Sounds like fun, I want to add it but not right now. I first want to finish the real purpose of the mod: Giving the player support by calling his friends. So far I have been testing the services and fixed some small bugs and made some small improvements. If anyone found some bugs or has an idea, simply post it here. I have finished the Big Bear service, when you call he will come to you like the homie support service. He will be carrying an M4 or AK47, maybe I will make this random. So then it would be very similar to using the cellphone in GTAIV You could create a different texture for each option in the menu lol. So scrolling down/up the list, would quickly load another texture, and it would simulate you using the phone. Glad to see your back improving this mod. He has connection for a few days, then loses it for a month. But he is back at the moment, and said he was opening his 'Effect Request' thread.
