bloatedsack 6,854
Not quite 20 years ago, I thought that Einstuerzende Neubauten's "Kein Bestandtiel Sein" really fit a description of things I shouldn't be doing anymore. So, I paid someone to write it on my neck where it's reminded me of these things every single morning in a mirror, except it's backwards there. But, it's cool, because I know what it says. I mean, sure I could've written it backwards on me, but that would've made it that much more sillier than anything else. Since it's provided a creedo to live by ("To be no part of it"), plus it's indelible marking on me, I think it qualifies as a "theme song" in its way. Mister Pink 12,401
Time by Pink Floyd Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way. Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way. Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain. You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Every year is getting shorter; never seem to find the time. Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way The time is gone, the song is over, Thought I'd something more to say. Home Home again I like to be here When I can When I come home Cold and tired It's good to warm my bones Beside the fire Far away Across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees Edited May 5, 2016 by Mister Pink The Hippie, Tonguegirl and Nico

DarkSavageDeathlyCloud 11,019
But really, i always consider my life kinda going in "era's", and if i give each individual "era" a song it be like: Early era(0 to 6 year old) (Explanation: those days i pretty much started to get interested in small animals like insects and all....never liked it when people bothered me kinda. Still remember looking in the garden and my parents calling for me, kinda wanting me to sing children songs and being so bad at interacting with other kids that i pretty much tried to sleep during recess. This kinda ended when i got harassed/thought i was being harassed simply because i did not understand my classmates games, so then i kinda attempted(and somehow succeeded)to make some friends and pretty much go along well) Golden times (7 to 13 year old) (Explanation: sure i never really liked school, but i actually dared to speak out more and at the end of primary school i even pushed a guy over that we can not describe anything better then "a bad friend". Further, my grades were more then decent. First year at secondary school even was great to, made one great friend then for that year. The Dark Ages(13 to 19 year old) Still both my most sh*tty period, but i kinda like to not forget about it because it kinda learned me a lot and gave me strength. Honestly though, this period with its emotional turmoil could fit a sh*tload of songs, and i really do mean a sh*tload, so i can not really pick one single song for this, so if kinda chopping it up even more: -Depression(typical teenager being alone with no friends, but i think in my case, that was more incarnate then with most people)(13 to 15 years old) -building anger(again just your typical thing, or let's just say it is honestly more common to have those thoughts then people, including me, sometimes like to believe)(15 to 16 year old) -Berserk(i honestly think i kinda crossed quite a few lines back then, pretty much going self-destruct if i had continued)(16 to 19 years old) -subsiding(When switching school and kinda realizing you might have the chance to do something else besides gong into self-destruct)(19 to 22 year old)

BenMitchell90 653
Basically it's the song about an average day of my life. Right down to seeing the Goodyear Blimp and it saying that I'm a pimp. LOL seriously though this is way more appropriate, yeah it doesn't have lyrics but those first 10 seconds say more than words ever could Edited December 21, 2017 by Wu-Tang Forever

The Hippie 430
It was a toss up between this song and Eddie Vedder's "Society". Everyday I tell myself I don't need nobody else I can all alone with the friends that I have I got plenty to do and believe me I'm glad that I don't need no one else Then I go back to my room and the hallway filled with gloom I'm an island alone but as I turn the key there's the funniest feeling she's waiting for me but it's never yet been true I'm an island in the sea and there's no one else but me I withdrawal in my mind cause it's safer inside and I don't get involved and I still got my pride and I don't need no one else Then I go back to my room and the hallway filled with gloom I'm an island alone but as I turn the key there's the funniest feeling she's waiting for me but it's never yet been true Edited August 13, 2018 by The Hippie Mister Pink
G U M M I 1,141
Astronaut Kid or Gravity by Young Boy NBA. Astronaut Kid, it's more about the theme than the lyrics because I've always been focused on higher and better things than the ordinary sh*t people care about. My imagination was always my strongest tool, and one day I'll cash in on it. But the music video for Astronaut Kid and the theme of it spoke to me in many ways. Some people are born earth dwellers and some go on to reach for the stars. Then there's Gravity, one of his more underrated songs. That one speaks to me solely for the lyrics because he is the metaphorical atlas with the world on his shoulders, dealing with not having a father, dependable mother, etc. Young Boy is the truest example of a someone who doesn't need anyone to do great. Those are my theme songs. One day I'll make my own. Edited December 23, 2018 by Panashe M. Sinclaire
