So, now I am using default Vice SCM with new threads (mods like nitro, bodyguards, tuning) and some changed mission stuff. It's a lot more stable and doesen't crash. MadcapSmoky22 Posted May 15, 2010 Share Posted May 15, 2010 Ideas: (just suggestions, not requests) -Add the funny drive-by to bodyguards script, so one guard would teleport to car roof, get M60, lock in this place (he couldn't move, only turn and shoot) at some key press, like jump. -Taxi/Limo call, like in New Vice City 2004 -Probably too hard, but anyways...CLEO script, for "transportable arms dealer", guy arives to you with black Patriot at some keys combination, and you get menu where you could buy every weapon (not a menu like in SA, but this black information window, which would say press jump key to buy pistol for 200$ etc) -You could start race by simply "calling", so press some keypresses, Tommy does the calling animation and you get the race choose menu, just like in New Vice City 2007 -Bodyguard call to your bodyguards script, pressing some keypresses, and you would get 3 bodyguards with Uzi's in some black cool car (4 door of course) -Not sure if possible, but more ammo for hidden package weapon rewards (like 120 ammo for Python, not 16) and maybe even 200 hidden packages instead of 100, so just an example, now instead of getting Python by getting 100 hidden packages you get a M60, and you get a Minigun by 200 hidden packages. -Stashing weapons at savehouses, like in "Vice City Third Wave" mod -Stashing money in the bank, like in "Vice City Third Wave" mod -Heli backup, like in "Vice City Third Wave" mod -Note that those are probably too tough-time taking to make, just ideas. Adding more would cause bad effects... Taxi mod would be fun (just like in GTA IV), but the code line would be long as hell. I also like the idea of spawning buddies in black armoured car. That can be done, but it will be possible only after you kill Diaz (it's more realistic). As for the patriot weapon dealer, I think it wouldn't be hard to code it but.... I am not as good with coding from ground 0. It would need new text, loading weapon models, moving them etc... If someone could make these 2 (taxi and dealer scripts) I would be very thankfull and I will put him/her into credits of course. But make it in CLEO for Vice. Beta testers. Once I introduced it to some people over the internet, via msn and Facebook, they all said it's the best remake of Vice City they've ever seen. And it's not just a mod compilation. Every segment of a game that COULD be changed, I did. It wasn't at all simple copy-paste modding. Every mod I DL-ed I edited again to fit with others. Make it compatible. Make it better, fix the mod bugs etc etc Just check the music stations on previous pages and you'll see how much time needed for only that segment. Changing graphics, cars, audio, script, traffic, map, modern Vice feeling took alot of work to be completed. And I am not a showmaker, I just love when people like it, it makes me happy and it says to me it was worth it. I am that kind of person. I love to make others satisfied And the main reason why I am presentating it here because this community is huge. Haters will always be around, as in every huge project. That's expected. But I am keeping this up despite of that. I want people to feel this game and I see lots of them like it. Cause those screenshot camera angles are great.. jf you didnt change them, is there somewhere to download one that does so I can combine that with this mod? Thanks Dude I am glad you like it Yeah, TCs DO take a lot to finish, but they took even longer to finish perfectly. Camera is changed only by pressing V to a movie-like one, and I captured it when the cam was on the ground. As for the SA thingy, I am desperatly trying to find help from someone to code a simple ASI hook (or CLEO script) which will enable camera rotating with mouse controler (like in SA). No one answers for weeks... And you don't need steam for game to work, it's a complete game along with "cured" exe so it can work properly without crashing. No patching, no nothing. Hell, in old times I modded SA by cleo, I'm not experienced, but if I get some scripts together I can change them and make something cool....I'll try to make something Btw, I got information on that first thing you wanted, changing limits. Unfortunely, editing things like polycount limit, that's not possible. It would require us to have game engine source, but we don't. Only R* do. But HOW THE **** do these guys here manage to brake it and make DLL hooks and ASI files with CFGs so they can change things that are coded inside of an executable. Please, HOW? If I knew the C++, I wouldn't botter anybody and I'd done myself. And, yap, I pumped up the Hummer with big "collision armour" via changing it's handling. It's BIG and it's STRONG! YEAH!!! I however my friend, managed to get know how to change cops weapons. It's hardcoded in exe, and program "Delphi" can be used in order to change those. Check out "Lith Joe's Trainer" you can change cops guns by it, and Lith Joe scripts (well, scripted, he got pwnt in a car crash) in Delphi. So, your saying is, (noobish understanding) I get Delphi and I can open exe and edit stuff to my likes? @The FireStarteR Billboards are retextured (showing few): But I didn't want to retexture the city because it is perfect the way it is with ENB.
