Interiors also got worse, if you ask me. Then again there really isn't any newer interior I'm a fan of, they're all so cheap they make a mid nineties Accord look luxurious. Really? f*cking really, Pat? Have you even sat in a new car or a 90s Accord? My cobalt has a better interior than a any 90s Honda Accord and the Cobalt's interior f*cking sucks. Don't get me wrong, I miss the beauty of simplicity when it comes to the late 80s early 90s BMW but they are no where near the quality of their predictors. When you get a chance, sit in an M3, 1 series, 750iL, or something. They are f*cking great. I don't think anyone could say they're ugly, per se, but they are certainly unconventional. Personally, I was unsure about them at first, and now I love them. By today's standards though, BMW styling fell down to the bottom of my list. I used to hate Jaguar styling, but now I like them thanks to BMW. But in terms of handling, BMW still creates the best cars. I mean everyone says that the M3 is the ultimate sports car and the only car that came to close it was a 2011 Mustang. I wouldn't say every BMW has an ugly interior. But they are too refined, like a Mercedes. Plus they have this thing called i-Drive which is a pain to work on. Personally I think Audi's have the best interior. MMi doesn't have much troubles as i-Drive. yes, Audi interiors are refined, but not too refined. @Piperka Wow. Regardless, it's your opinion, you're entitled to it. Personally, I think the more conservative BMWs (think E90/91/92/93) are a little too bland, especially without the M-kits on them. The 5 and 7 series have outsold the majority of their competitors, so they must be doing something righ. Granted, the Jag XF and XK are very pretty in all respects, but the nu-6 looks much better than the XK and the XJ looks far too Korean for my tastes- besides inside, where it's lovely. The E65 is hideous in every way and and the E60 is still pretty much all-around ugly. E90 Sedans are so-so but the coupes look pretty good, especially the M3. I mean, I could care less what modern engine from BMW that goes in there. Even the diesels are good enough. But if I was going to do a BMW again, I would have a 9000rpm I6 monster. Shorten the stroke, bore it out a bit. Make it a rev happy f*cker fit to set off car alarms and crack windows. The gizmos are ok but driving it feels like something is wrong like a box are on the wheels or something. The Lexus HS250 is basically a Prius that's a luxury car. Still, that car is hideous and really boring. I've driven one before, and in terms of luxury, its not that bad. But driving it, well boring. And I don't like the styling.
