General Information

 

This mod changes various things on the original GTA IV DLC's for PC like they were promised in previews/shown in screenshots or seen in beta leftovers in the game files.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure it will be a success, however it's just the beginning of the mod smile.gif

About the robin: If i go after the name, i guess it could be a Reliant Robin, but those were mostly driven around in UK, not sure if they were ever exported in the USA (NYC), i don't think so. The handling refers to a small, slow vehicle. Maybe it was some kind of three-wheeled scooter/car. Something like this perhaps. I'll do a research about it.

I strangely remember topics about beta helicopter which may be similiar to Buzzard, and Robin was only name i could remember. It was rumoured already before announcing EFLC though.

BTW second picture link is not correct.

There was a wooden bat like in the gta iv beta, in tlad beta as well:

Gonna test the tlad bikes from gta iv too, they were beta.

However, i have de-installed gta iv, because of my less space, no i can re-install.

 

To get that tony without glasses we just have to delete the glasses in the pedprops.img, because they are separate.

 

Jim hadn't a bandana in the beta, but it is not separate, which means the model need to be edited, however it can't be exported yet.

 

BTW Jim was white in GTA IV and was brown-ish in TLAD, his look has changed totally. However i won't change the tlad/tbogt characters like their appearance in GTA IV. We should style them like in beta screens/artworks.

EDIT: As I said Luis had a different helmet, since every character´s helmet are big enough to fit Luis´s head, why not use Brucie´s one, its the only prop?

@Tivo: The .wdd includes two models (.wdr's), i dunno for what it is the first one good (have just played some missions of tbogt) and the second .wdr is the helmet.

Ofcourse it will work if Luis wears the helmet, but if the game trys to spawn the first object, the game will crash, because it doesn't exist. And AFAIK, there is now way to add a model to a .wdd, as well as exporting .wdd's.

After two bluescreens, i could make a screenie of the Brickade in TBOGT.

However, the Brickade is a very weird and unique vehicle, it's fun to ram cars out of the street, but it slows down a lot when you crash into something or drive up a hill.

Actually, it wouldn´t crash, it would appear invisible

 

That Motorola earpiece is used on the mission Dropping In wink.gif

 

It wouldn´t be of much use, just for the realisitc elements

1.) Use that .ASI mod I told you about and go to this directory:

 

*EFLC Main Directory*\SdfaDump\TBoGT\common\data\

 

Now open up the file titled, 'ped.ide'. Go down and find this:

 

 

IG_Tony,  IG_Tony_P,  CIVMALE,   [email protected],         [email protected][email protected]_PHONE, [email protected]_LO,  [email protected]_lo,  0,   [email protected],  null,   -1,-1,  PED_TYPE_PLAYER, TONY_PVG, VOICE_PLY_CR   

 

And change it to this:

 

 

IG_Tony,  null,  CIVMALE,   [email protected],         [email protected][email protected]_PHONE, [email protected]_LO,  [email protected]_lo,  0,   [email protected],  null,   -1,-1,  PED_TYPE_PLAYER, TONY_PVG, VOICE_PLY_CR   

 

Then, find this line too:

 

 

CS_Tony,   CS_Tony_p,  CIVMALE,   move_player,  [email protected][email protected]_PHONE, [email protected]_HI,  [email protected]_hi,  0,   move_player,   CS_Tony,  -1,-1,  PED_TYPE_PLAYER, M_Y_PHarlem_01, VOICE_PLY_CR   

 

And change it to this:

Save it, then copy it to this directory:

 

*EFLC Main directory*\TBoGT\common\data\

 

2.) Open Jim's .WTD in G-Texture.

 

Make a small texture (like 2x2 to save space), and convert it to .DDS using DDS Converter.

 

Now replace the bandanna's texture with the empty texture you made and delete the bump and spec maps. Save the texture and look in-game.

 

^ The above guide would work if G-Texture didn't whine about compression issues. So yeah, I guess we're stuck.

Yeah, but the invisible texture would make it unseeable, giving the illusion that the bandana was removed. But I guess it's a moot point since we can't do it anyways, so I'll just shut up.

I sent this message to Slayer, and he told me to post the little tweaks I made here. So without further ado, here's a quote:

 

 

I just wanted to stop by to tell you that I'm slowly starting to get the ball rolling by doing a couple simple mods. Also, Alexander released a new .ASI plugin that makes things much easier. BTW, I read that you bought EFLC, so are we ready to do this thing?

 

OK, so here's some of the things that I'm doing so far:

 

- I've replaced the bike models with the beta ones. There are a few bugs in the models, but they're not bad for models that were left unfinished.

 

- I'm starting to reskin Johnny so he can resemble his IV counterpart (only the pants and facial features). Because that's the way it seems in the beta screens.

 

- I also made a small texture edit to Quechus' silenced pistol, since it was based off a leftover LAD texture. The edit I made was adding a black alpha to the silencer textures. So now, it looks right:

- Another edit I made was for the pool cue. I took the one from IV, and edited it's texture so now its icon and all will work in TLAD:

Hey Slaya, did you tested my helmet?

 

As I said, it wouldn´t crash, its weird but its true, take for example, Polodave´s new era caps models (Actually they are ped props models)

 

They are different props, but none of them crash the game despite the missing Russian hat and glasses

Hadn't tested the helmet yet, well why don't you used the texture shown in the screenshot, it's in the orginal pedprops.img.

 

Well, the beta tlad bikes from GTA IV PC vehicles.img crash in TLAD when they get spawned.

I guess the EFLC .wft's have another file structure then the GTA IV .wft's.

 

However, here is a comparison of the bike from beta and final TLAD.

Some have no difference at all, others have slight differences, btw SparkIV doesn't display the EFLC vehicles correct.

I've taken Brucie's Helmet and used Niko's Helmet Texture.

The wooden bat texture is by Dvt-MedShot, originally made for the GTA IV Beta Mod. In this screenshot, Johnny hold a bat on the bike, that's not possible in TLAD.

I am not sure if this has been noted or not, but I am 99% positive that the beta Jason for TLAD was the same as he was in GTA IV, that should be a easy export/import job..

 

EDIT: I was right, I double checked on the website and looked at some screenies, and bam, said the lady.
