Jimbatron
Hmmm... not really sure then. Have you tried a clean GPU driver installation - i.e. properly clear out your old ones first. See the pinned FAQ topic for how to do this.
chrisblake
hi thx again for the reply. only had one set of drivers since windows install about 6 months ago! but i swapped my textures out last night for the ultimate texture pack and defraged the the whole pc and defraged the game folder too just to be sure! also running memclean in the background, dont know if its helping but its not making it worse! anyway the popins are not half as bad now! still getting them but just not as much! its more lods showing even when the high quality building is there! like right in front of me, not in the distance! and the trees do the same! i dont mind the poping in the distance but its a shame when its right next to you! lods shouldnt even be showing this close but they keep poping in! once again lowering all setting dose nothing but make it worse to be honest! like it only likes to be run on max settings? not that i mind, dose look good! anyways another thing i forgot to add is my current command lines! -reservedApp 0 -availablevidmem 1.8 -nomemrectrict -novblank -forcehighqualitymirrors -fullspecaudio this is the best and most stable set ive come up with! now i know -reservedapp 0 shouldnt be used on a 32 bit os but its the best line in there! holds the graphics best! my system is a 64bit pc but have windows 7 32bit installed! i did try 64bit first but found even more problems running gta iv on it! and i thought it was made to use 64 bit to the best? well not from what i saw! anyway back on track. if anyone has any other ideas that could help stop my lods/popins problem, that would be great! thx for the help so far!
