Seddo Posted April 13, 2010 Share Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) So after a new teaser image got shown on American dashboards the other day, now GoW3 has been officially announced with an announcement trailer and is slated for an 8th April 2011 release. So instead of the two way war between the COG's and Locusts now the Lambent will feature a lot more to make it a 3 way war. The game is supposed to feature some under water levels as well. Looks pretty nice. I assume the engine has changed, I remember Cliffy B. saying in an interview that there were no characters with long hair because the engine didn't support it well... Even though his whining was kind of annoying it will be sad if he died. Nevermind he's in there. But the Lambent Locust was pretty obvious from the last game. The COG always has a way of making things worse when they think they're making things right, such as the lightmass bomb from GoW1 (which caused rustlung) and the sinking of jacinto from GoW2 (which was the last human stronghold. Should be interesting to see how the story develops from those points. 4-player co-op will be sweet too, now I just have to find three people to play it with. Edited April 13, 2010 by Blackadder. Minic Posted April 13, 2010 Share Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) What's with the music? lol Music like that has been a persitent thing in Gears Of War debut trailers, the first one had a Mad World cover but i can't remember what the 2nd one had. I personally loved the music for the trailer (It kinda sends chills down my spine) and i cannot wait for the 3rd installment, being that both Gears games were my first 360 games when i got it Christmas 2008, deffinetly looking forward to the 4 player Co-Op too, it's gonna be a blast playing the story with an extra 2 friends this time. I hope they keep Horde too, that mode was so much fun to play with a bunch of friends, never could get into the Multiplayer though. Gunfights all the time, good story to back it up too. And even more sad that it's 360 exclusive. I played GoW 1 on PC and I loved it. Too bad I never got to play GoW2 I'm sure I would have loved it. I thought Dom was Marcus at first, just with an epic beard. Love the way he looks at the mother and child when he falls. I'm guessing fighting with Anya is how they'll develop her and Marcus' lustful looks at each other... I've just watched the actual interview and he doesn't say that. My brother linked me to the trailer on The Escapist, and they said in their article about the trailer that it's Anya. Somebody in the comments said Cliffy had said that, but he doesn't. Who knows then, I guess. BigNekkidSnake Posted April 15, 2010 Share Posted April 15, 2010 I love the gears games so I'm hyped but a years a long time to wait on it but atleast I'm hoping they use that time to iron out the bugs instead of rushing it. I saw a double barrel shotgun in Marcus' hands hopefully it doesnt replace the Gnasher as thats a staple of gears gameplay (atleast the multiplayer.) Hopefully in the mean time TU 6 makes 2 more enjoyable, because 1 is just full of glitchers that like to web stalk me. Posted May 6, 2010 Share Posted May 6, 2010 What the f*ck, me and my friend played it on Insane and Hardcore respectively, and apart from one point where we had to drop a difficulty (before promptly switching back later) had no problems ploguhing through the campaign. It's a sequel. It's meant to be harder. I was hoping for a tonne of crazy ass boss fights or encounters or something, but there probably isn't going to be as many. Best case scenario is they just give the Casual/Normal difficulties a buttload of health and ammo.
