GTA SA Mods Don't Work

So my mods in San Andreas don't work even after I made a fresh installment, I have version 1, it just started doing this when my GENRL got messed up. I don't know what may have caused it, I have modded before, and the mods worked fine.

 

Here are a couple things that might be linked to it:

-GTA San Andreas only works if I run it as Administrator, if I don't, the game will crash as soon as I get to the Main Menu

-"San Andreas Audio Toolkit" (SAAT) can't open GENRL because it says bank 5 has over 100,000,000 sound files

-My computer might be the problem because GTA San Andreas and the mods work fine on my laptop

NOTE: the video has bad quality and is a little fast, I had no idea how to slow it down and it was by first time using HyperCam

Hi KenBlock,

 

Are you saying that after replacing your GENRL file with the one I provided you can no longer mod the IMG? This doesn't seem logical but heck with GTA SA anythings possible when it comes to problems. I dont think its the GENRL causing all of this. I dont know how much experience you have with modding but I am assuming your making a mistake somewhere along the line (nothing wrong with the game)

 

I have experienced similar sh*t happening in MED, I replaced a structure with my own and when I loaded MED it would appear as a solid white box. I rebuilt the archive and it solved the problem. However in your video you seem to have made all the correct steps but it was quite fast so I still cant say im 100% sure you have done everything correctly.

 

Can you record it again and move slower so I can see how it is your installing these mods? Which folders, exe's and IMG's your replacing/launching. Sometimes it can be something so simple that was overlooked, we as humans always tend to assume the worst

I will try to make another video, this time I will make it slower, in the mean time, can someone tell me how to make the video slower, I used hypercam, it like doubled the speed and the only thing I changed was the recording width/height

 

EDIT: And is there any way that I can attatch the link for the file HERE for best quality, like you did when you gave me the GENRL??

I own a server, or a server was lended to me by X-squares.com. You will need to rely on rapidshare, megaupload or whatever kind of free filehost sites. Mediafire seems pretty good too.
