Oh god, here come the pirate flamers. I don't know about the pool issue, but not being able to use the computers is an anti-piracy measure. I think there's another way it can happen but I don't know what it is.

I hope in the next GTA title Rockstar develops it simultaneously for PC/360/PS3 and puts effort into the PC version so we get a proper PC version instead of a bug filled port with numerous performance issues. A GTA title for PC should have PhysX, DX 9/10/11 support, make use of ALL system resources and so on and with GTA IV this has not been delivered. Lets hope the next GTA game has some effort put into its development. Yes, Rockstar Toronto has put in the time and effort to make a PC version of GTA IV and I thank them for that but surely they could have done better. I'm not dissing R* Toronto, just saying more effort should have been put into the game and am hoping that a proper PC version of the next GTA title will be developed.

EXACTLY! Rockstar Games produces fantastic games with great stories, visuals, characters and so on but they seem to have forgotten about PC gamers and have not put as much time into the PC version as it did with the console versions.

I hope the next GTA game is developed on all 3 platforms simultaneously so that PC gamers don't have the same issues that were had with GTA IV.

Come on, it's a PC game. It's meant to have AA/AF, PhysX, DX10/11 and so on. I've got to say, GTA IV on PC is fun but it's poor performance and bugs are sort of a letdown.

Be very careful about calling people pirates unless you know for sure and don't assume such issues are anti-piracy measures.

The simple fact is, you shouldn't be calling anyone a pirate or suggest it until you have proof. Also people who use so called "cracks" are not pirates either, people just make that assumption.

I wasn't calling you a pirate. I meant that there's pirate witch hunters around here, which I'm not one of. And I'd be a hypocrite since I pirated the 3 previous GTA"s. I figured GTA is so awesome I should pay for at least one, so I bought GTAIV. And I was calling the witch hunters pirate flamers not you. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

My logic is sound thanks very much and if you don't know people are pirates, don't make such claims, it's that simple. It's not about a court of law, it's just using a bit of common sense but judging from your comments around the forum, you cannot seem to control your swearing, so what more can I say.

I don't think this is a patch issue but shop lights don't cast shadows. So much for a fully life like lighting and shadow system.

 

I've just noticed this in EFLC. If you walk near a shop with lights on, nothing casts shadows.

I had to turn off shadows just to have a smooth experience on this patch. i can run it on low shadows but it's looking ugly so i'd rather turn it off

Seeing as outside here is Norway, and here we don't write "Ambulance" the mirrow way, your saying of "get out more" fails quite alot.

Congrats, you are a shallow person who thinks that every country write ambulance backwards, perhaps you ought to learn to read the next reply of mine after the first guy answered me. But is that too hard for you?

 

I am actually not failing at all in the sense you think of. I fail because I didn't know other countries write ambulance backwards on their, well, ambulance, while in Norway they don't, if I were to get out of my house more that would not make me magicly appear in any other country then Norway, not in the uk or the us.

 

And guess what, not everyone is from the states or the uk or wherever other places they write it backwards, it might shock you, but there are more than 10 countries in the world.

Perhaps you and the other guy needs to think a bit before you answer back.

Perhaps a normal reply would be

"that is how they do it in the us" seeing as the game is suppose to be in the us and not bloody Norway, where they bloody don't write the bloody words backwards on the ambulance.

It is nice to have a patch that improves graphics. I don't see this as anything other than a continued evolution of an engine. I definitely don't think Rockstar did this to fix problems with the game. There is a distinction there.

 

I will have to play to the end again and see if I can now climb into the helicopter. I wonder if the cheesey vagina's fixed that?
