THE MOON!!!! Guess what they are taking out?? Rockstar Games Social Club!!!!! The PC release of Episodes from Liberty City includes a host of game, performance, and visual improvements over the core Grand Theft Auto IV release, details of which can be found below. Rockstar Games will release a title update (1.0.6.0) for owners of the original Grand Theft Auto IV for PC on April 13 that includes all of the enhancements found in Episodes from Liberty City. This title update will also allow users to purchase The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony through the Games for Windows-LIVE Marketplace. Enhancements in Episodes from Liberty City PC include: Rockstar Games Social Club * Remove Rockstar Games Social Club application * Separate RGSC application no longer required to launch game * Social Club login now occurs during the launch process Shadows * A new, less memory-intensive, and better-looking scalable shadow solution has been implemented * Enhanced Night Shadows added with user-selectable level of detail (replaces Shadow Density) Performance * Rendering optimizations have been made to improve performance, particularly when enabling shadows * User-configurable graphics settings have been added for shadow control Benchmarking * New system-intensive benchmarks have been added under the Graphics menu * User gameplay captures can now be used for benchmarking using the command line Multiplayer * Enhanced security to isolate users from cheaters and hackers Bug Fixes * Vehicle shadows re-enabled between 8pm and 6am * Fix floating street textures * Pedestrians in vehicles appear further out from the player to allow for long range sniping * The Moon has been implemented with simulated lunar phases Edited April 12, 2010 by GhostStorm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the Patch does what it says then great, kudos, nice one, bout f*cking time mind you it has only been nearly 2 f*cking years. EDIT: To run benchmarking from the command line, enter the directory where you have installed Episodes from Liberty City and locate the executable “LaunchEFLC.exe“ Seems like there will be some selection menu in-game. WTFX Posted April 12, 2010 Share Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) seriously i wish i could send them a big fu for putting some less resource intensive stuff in, now that the eps are coming out??? the game came out, what almost two years ago on pc and u release them now with the episodes when ppl have already bought multicore systems and have been nevertheless frustrated with the performance and....!!! <insert a 'ffffffffffuuuuu' face here> as much as i love gta series and other R* games, this is screwing over pc gamers over and over again. seems like they wanted it sluggish all way from beginning maybe to get ppl upgrade their pcs for windows 7? nothing like some extra $$$ from M$..! I have just asked rockstargames via twitter when there will be an 'announcement' on the GTA site regarding this but as their twitter is american it could be some time before they answer me if at all they do. Thats why I stated I will ask on the phone tomorrow - if anyone could point me into the right direction for an app that RECORDS IPHONE CALLS then I will do so tomorrow so you know that i have actually spoken to a rockstar employee and if needs be I will go through the main line rather than his direct line so that you can hear a rockstar uk greeting Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Seeing as they actually enhancing performance is a very good thing, shame there will be no AA. This is the last patch people, hopefully it will not suck. Yes they have, they just came a lot earlier without a notice, that this one is now covering, I'm sure you already know that TLAD and TBOGT trophies are now under the GTA IV trophy list.
