OFW 2.0 to 2.6 -	Use Game Save file, download below Put the folder ULUS10041S0 into X:/PSP/SAVEDATA, where X is PSP drive Load the Save, then load any other saved games to use the cheat device in other files This version has more features than the PRX, where there are gaps there used to be: Change CPU Speed between 222/333 MHzFreeze Everything cheatDrive On Walls cheatGather Spell cheat
ALL CFW up to 3.71m33 -	Download Cheatdevice 1.0g below Use the file lcscheatdevice.prx Copy PRX file to X:/SEPLUGINS, where X is PSP drive Edit/create a file named game.txt in that folder, and copy this line to it ms0:/seplugins/lcscheatdevice.prx Shut off PSP by holding the power switch up, then power on holding the R trigger to enter recovery mode Go down to Plugins, and select the LCS cheat device and press X to enable

• Download Cheatdevice 1.0g below
• Use the file lcscheatdevice371.prx
• Copy PRX file to X:/SEPLUGINS, where X is PSP drive
• Edit/create a file named game.txt in that folder, and copy this line to it
• ms0:/seplugins/lcscheatdevice371.prx 0
• Shut off PSP by holding the power switch up until it turns off, then power on holding the R trigger to enter recovery mode
• Go down to Plugins, and select the LCS cheat device and press X to enable

 

CFW 5.00m33 to 5.50 GEN -

• Download Cheatdevice 2.0 below
• Copy PRX file named lcscheatdevice.prx to X:/SEPLUGINS, where X is PSP drive
• Edit/create game.txt in that folder, and copy this line to it
• ms0:/seplugins/lcscheatdevice.prx 0
• Shut off PSP by holding the power switch up until it turns off, then power on holding the R button to enter recovery mode
• Go down to Plugins, and select the LCS cheat device and press X to enable

 

6.20 TN(HEN) -

• Download Cheatdevice 2.0 below
• Copy PRX file named lcscheatdevice.prx to X:/SEPLUGINS, where X is PSP drive
• Edit/create game.txt in that folder, and copy this line to it
• ms0:/seplugins/lcscheatdevice.prx 1
• The 1 makes it so the plugin is enabled, to turn it off, change to a 0
• Turn the PSP on, and start LCS
• NOTE: It seems it will not work with the UNPATCHED UMD of LCS, I don't know why, but it should work fine on the patched UMD, ISO, or PSN download

How do I enter recovery mode?

Hold the power switch up for several seconds until the PSP turns completely off, then hold the R trigger and turn it back on. You will see a menu, usually black with red text, this is the recovery menu.

 

Is there any chance this will brick my PSP?

It is unlikely, but as it is not official software, there is always a chance, but a very small chance that this will brick your PSP. Install at your own risk.

 

What does brick my PSP mean?

It means you have broken your PSP, and is now a $200 brick. This can be fixed, however, with something called Pandora's Battery.

 

The game crashes when I try to enter a spawned vehicle, why?

There are some vehicles that will crash your game when you spawn them with the CheatDevice. Mainly BIKES will crash your game, everything else should work fine.

 

How do I spawn a vehicle?

To spawn a vehicle, just scroll to the "Rhino/Trashmaster cheat spawns: XXXXX" then use the left or right arrows to select a vehicle, then press the O button for Rhino cheat, or the L trigger for the trashmaster. This code simply changes what vehicle the button cheat for rhino or trashmaster spawns.

 

I pressed the button and it said cheat activated, but I don't see any vehicles.

This cheat spawns the vehicle on the nearest road, so you have to be near a road to get your vehicle, it will not spawn boats in the water unfortunately.

 

Help the Dodo won't fly!

On 5.00m33 and up, with Cheatdevice 2.0, the Dodo no longer works for flying, its just what happened when the Cheatdevice was edited to work on higher firmwares.

 

Is there an infinite ammo cheat

Not in the cheatdevice itself, but there is a user made cheat for infinite ammo.

 

How do I customize cars as stated above?

For this you must download PMGP (Pimp My Garage portable), which is a program you put in the X:/PSP/GAME folder. It was created by ADePSP and Cheatsync as a portable option to the online version at CheatSync before it crashed. This version still works however. Download

 

Help! It's not loading on my PSP, I have 6.20 HEN

If you're using a UMD, it may be the original UMD, and for some reason it is not supported with the CheatDevice

 

How can I tell if my UMD is patched or not?

This an unpatched UMD, the CheatDevice will NOT work on 6.20 HEN

This is a patched umd, the CheatDevice SHOULD work on 6.20 HEN

no man, there isnt. and btw jf6293 you didnt help me to be honest. i looked for a cheat device in youtube and there was a video that showed me how to do it in an easy way. my version is 5.00 the youtube guy has versions 1.0 - 3.50, 3.71 - 4.01, and 5.00 - 5.50(All Gen). here is the website

Yep, its working perfectly without VSH line... But only in [uLUS-10041][ENG], euro and UMD versions is very bad support.

Yea, the umd version for 5.00m33 and 5.50 gen isn't perfect, it still works, but the menu flashes, and super jump doesn't work well, its because when it was converted to work on higher FWs (not by my, I forget who it was), this was the best they could do

Added support for 6.20 TN(HEN)

 

NOTE: It seems it will not work with the UNPATCHED UMD of LCS, I don't know why, but it should work fine on the patched UMD, ISO, or PSN download

I have not confirmed the PSN download or all the UMDs yet (UK versions), and have only tested this on the PSP 1001 and 2001

I doubt that the features that were taken out will work for the PRX version, mainly because the guy who made it (Edison Carter) is no longer making it

The closest thing to it is CWCheat, but I like this much better because theres a lot more to do, and its way better, CWCheat is more like an Action Replay

Yesterday i've installed cheat device 1.0g PRX for lcs right but when i entered the game and gameplay was begun cheat device wasn't appeared, why is it? I did all right:

1) Download Cheatdevice 1.0g below

2) Use the file lcscheatdevice371.prx

3) Copy PRX file to X:/SEPLUGINS, where X is PSP drive

THIS topic explaiins why the Cheat Device will not work for you...Even the topic title says it all...It IS Pinned for a reason you know(No Offence)...It specificily says

Firmware 2.7 is the first new firmware release since CheatDevice came out. As expected, Sony has patched CheatDevice's savefile exploit. Do not upgrade to firmware 2.7 or you will be locked out from running CheatDevice and all homebrew!

 

This is not like 2.5 or 2.6 where support eventually came when the new syscalls were figured out. This is locked out, no chance, period.

 

Let me reiterate. 2.6 is the end of the line for CheatDevice. The GTA exploit is totally, certainly, completely and permanently closed on 2.7. Furthermore, any other exploits that the PSP homebrew community may come up with to open up homebrew again on 2.7 will NOT be usable with CheatDevice.

 

Do not upgrade to 2.7 thinking that CheatDevice will eventually support 2.7. It won't.

 

Edit:

This also applies to 2.71 or any later version.

 

 

 

So, because of this, it WILL NOT work on any firmware later than 2.7 i'm afraid....? So, please READ the Pinned topics first, they are Pinned for a reason...Just a friendly heads up.

Actually radioman, that topic is 5 years old and way outdated. The CheatDevice was patched/updated a long time ago

What PSP are you using Mr. Myriad? That may have something to do with why it's not working

Try this also:

Instead of "ms0:/seplugins/lcscheatdevice371.prx 0" copy/paste "ms0:/seplugins/lcscheatdevice371.prx 1"

Then reset your PSP (hold power till off, then tur back on normally) and try to load the game

Make sure the VCS cheatdevice isn't also on, if both are on then neither works for some reason

Lastly if it still doesn't work, try turning off all other plugins except the LCS cheatdevice

jf6293 thank u but i already did it, now i have gta lcs usa (iso form), cheat device 1.0g prx, additional cheats for it, cfw 3.51 M33-7. And all of that works perfectly.
