Going back to Vanilla IV?

After playing the Hell out of TBOGT I have started to find the new stuff annoying, everything explodes. Car combat is dead and everyone whores the helicopters. I'm going back to IV for some real gunfights and drivebys. Anyone else feel this way?

As a pilot, and on the "everyone whores the helicopters" part, i have to agree with you on that one.

You get too many n00bs these days in the bloody Ah-6 Little Bird, and they just do a whole heap of random sh*t to you, from giving the rotors/blades to one another to just spamming the RPG's like it's a RPG spamming competition.

 

I have been going back in forth these days, as some days i enjoy flying the UH-60L Black Hawk, and other days i enjoy flying the Ah-6 Little Bird.

If i just feel like practicing my landing skills on helipads and what not, i use the Bell 206B[somewhat close comparison] [it's on both games, so it does not bother me]

 

Dogfights i believe feel more original and actually feel like real dogfights as the bullets fire at a slower Rate of Fire [RoF] and therefore take longer to disable your opponent from battle. I get more satisfaction from IV dogfights then i do TBoGT dogfights, TBoGT dogfights [with Ah-6 Little Bird] are just far too quick for my liking, even with the UH-60L Black Hawk that fires exploding bullets on impact, i find to quick when trying to dogfight another Black Hawk.

Even when i'm circle straifing my target on the ground in IV, at least it's taking time for me to take out my target depending on how warmed up i am by that time. Where as TBoGT circle straifing with BOTH helicopter's are still far too quick, i don't even need to get warmed up with those military machines.

 

The point is, i find [in my opinion] that IV is more original, as the OP said "has better/real gunfights and drivebys" and the dog fighting is better for me.

 

Btw, here is for those who don't know what i'm talking about when i say "Ah-6 Little Bird" and "UH-60L Black Hawk" and "Bell 206B"

I personally liked BoGT and all the explosions. The new shotgun is especially helpful for taking down choppers.

 

Although probably talking about multi-player anyway, whatever ...
