How did Faustin know...?

Recommended Posts

Faustin is paranoid anyway and would always assume the worst. In this case he knew Dimitri and Niko had reason to betray him because Faustin's hiring of Niko to kill Lenny Petrovic had caused Kenny Petrovic to want Faustin, Dimitri, and Niko dead. Dimitri hoped that betraying Faustin would appease Kenny Petrovic.

Even after all that, I felt kinda sorry for him. He was paranoid and ruthless, sure, but Dimitri's a backstabber and possibly more ruthless than Faustin.

AND he/Faustin are blood brothers, right? Maybe Faustin suspected that 'this day would come' (considering how well they know each other).

Mikhail Faustin

Dimitri Rascalov

Piece it together.

Also, SeraphimSoldier is correct.

I know they're not brothers. whatsthat.gif I meant brothers in a figure of speech, as in they're close.

Excuse me, but I believe that:

The term, "blood brothers," is used to refer to brothers that are related by blood.

But if you meant that they did some sort of strange ritual where they cut their fingers open and swore on it, then the answer would still be, "No."

I agree - when he was standing up there on the roof I feel that Niko felt sorry for him but had to kill him. On my second playthrough of IV however I have realised that perhaps Dmitri was lying about Petrovic wanting Niko to do the killing - after all, he was just a hired gun. If anything, I think Petrovic would have threatened to kill Dmitri and Dmitri just didn't have the balls to kill his friend - after all, he always did get other people to do his dirty work.

  • 2 weeks later...
I didn't feel sorry for Faustin initially, but on my second play through, I called his number while cruising around Algonquin after his death. Ilyena's message made me feel bad.

Why you feel bad? You can't chose kill him or let him live!

I don't understand what different that makes. I feel bad for him too, btw sigh.gif
